Chapter 11: I’m not human anymore…

After traveling, I woke up in a wooden house. Someone must have saved me. Maybe I didn't pass through the portal? Or any of this ever happened. Of course, this is what I hoped.

I looked at my surroundings. The house isn't empty. There is a small table beside the bed I'm currently sleeping on with a bottle of water on it.

I think the water is for me... I took a little sip and discovered a horrible taste. It was as if someone pooped in it. I immediately put it down.

I tried to get up again, but couldn't. I'm still too tired.

After a minute or two, someone came and knocked on the door.

'Can I please come in?' The voice said. It was a deep men's voice.

"Yes," I responded.

Traveling into another world has always been a surprise for you. The man was a beastman. It has a fierce lion head and a strong body. A scar crosses its face like almost every bad guy in movies.

I was slightly stunned and went back more profoundly into the corner of the room like prey in front of a predator with nowhere to run.

It looked at my movements for a second and laughed.

'You don't need to fear me. I'm not dangerous contrary to my appearance. Humans always react like this after seeing my face.' It said.

Although trembling in fear, I thanked him.

"Thank you for saving me..."

'You should rest more. You are not fully recovered yet.' It said. 'You can leave after you are feeling well.'

The beastman left the room with grace. Although being a fierce beast-man, their movements are comparable to a kitten's.

After seeing the stats, I said quietly 'Accept' and a leather bag fell off from nowhere. I opened the bag and another message fell out.

As I was feeling well, I got up from bed. I looked around the house and saw no one. Before leaving, I left a gold coin on the table.

Gold coin should be expensive I thought.

After walking for some time, I saw a small town a kilometer from me. I quickly got closer and was ready to enter.

I slept until the morning. In my sleep, I looked in the memory of the man.

He was an adventurer. They went to a pretty dangerous forest where a giant snake lives. It is classed as a C class. I learned some basic knowledge from this world too. It's classed like games: S for strongest, A for strong, B for strong-medium, C for medium, and so on. C class is pretty impressive for 4 humans to beat. The man I infected was the strongest of the group. I got lucky.

After waking up, I went to the adventure guild to meet his team.

'You are early today Robert.' The girl said.

'I slept early.' I replied with a smile. 'Inspect the girl' I said to the system.

The first reaction to have after seeing her status is that she's dangerous. I have to get rid of her quickly.

After an hour, we were at the entrance of the dungeon.

I lit up a torch as we went in.

The dungeon in this world isn't what I expected it to be... It's not all flowery and little goblin comes to you, but rather rocky and the goblins look more like hulk. With the help of my 'teammates', we beat them easily and went to the next floor. This dungeon is classed as medium and it's already really hard on floor 10. We went to rest after going to level 35.

'Maria, your cooking became better!' Eric said with amazement.

'Don't flatter me, I know I still have room to improve.' Maria's face went red.

"Don't be shy, we all know that you practice hard," I replied.

'Thank you...'

It's a waste to kill someone with so much talent, but I have no choice now.

In the happiness of my 'friends', I suddenly stood up and took my sword.

'What's wrong, Robert?' Maria said as I walk towards her.

Then, I raised my sword and sliced it down. Meanwhile, I said sorry in her ears.

I didn't expect my plans would be so successful. She's so pathetic. She didn't even move a little bit. My sword just went through her throat like butter.

In the confusion of my 'teammates', they screamed at me.

'What are you doing?' Eric cried.

'Why did you kill her?' Albert replied.

I then sliced Elric's because he was the closest to me. His head fell and blood gurges out without a scream.

'What... Why?' Albert said without strength.

"I wonder" I replied.

'Please don't kill me... Don't!' In the middle of his begging, I sliced him too.

The room suddenly became silent. I never killed someone before... I didn't expect it to be so much fun. These pathetic figures looking at me without understanding what's happening is just too much fun.

Wait... Why I'm so happy to kill someone? I killed someone! That's not right... I should be in pain right now.

Oh yeah... I'm no longer a human anymore. I already died, I'm a parasite now. Human rules don't apply to me anymore.

Hello! My full name is Maria de Richemont in the family of Richmond. I'm a sunny smiling little girl. I grew up in nobless as my name may suggest. At the age of 5, I went to the royal academy to study. My test result surprised the judges. They say that I'm a genius in magic, so I studied magic systems for 10 years. At the age of 15, I'm a full-grown young girl and went teaching the smaller ones, but one of my friends went to be an adventurer and I followed him.

His name was Robert, a commoner from my village. Once, he saved me from a wild wolf when I went playing in the forest. Since then, I love him much. After being an adventurer for quite some time, we rescued two people when we were hunting the succubus in the dark forest. They were Albert and Eric. They were badly injured at that time. I used my healing magic. They were impressed by the effect. After that, we defeated the succubus altogether.

We traveled together for at least 2 years together. We became close friends and we finally form our squad. We were able to easily take down A class and B class. They were dangerous for the nation because not many adventurers can take one. They will often form a group of 30 called a guild. I am an S class for my studies at the magic academy and Robert was +S for his expertise in monsters and leading groups to defeat a so-called immortal. Albert and Elric are both in B class. We carry them.

Last week, we received a message from the king himself to inform us to take down an S-grade dragon. It told the town folks that it will eat two people a day or it will burn down the village. So the king decided to form some 'Crusades' to defeat the dragon. Dragons were born strong and ignorant. We fought for a day to finally take the killing blow.

We were injured quite greatly after this battle. The king invited us to the castle. We are quite known there. They call us the indestructible squad. We were rewarded greatly.

After the visit to the king, we went to a little city at the border of the country to enjoy our lives. It took about 2 days to get there. We went to the famous 'Black Cat' restaurant to eat. The fish there was exceptionally good!

Robert was the first to take a bite. He tore up a big chunk and began to chew. He acted strange after swallowing. I sense magic overflowing its stomach and slowly to the brain.

'Are you okay?' I called out. There was no answer...

'Hey, Robert. Are you all right?' I called out once more.

This time, he grasped for air and return to himself.

'Y...Yes, sorry. The fish was just too good' He said weirdly.

Then he found an excuse to go back to the hotel.

After waking up, I went to the restaurant to have breakfast and Robert showed up a little after. He never walked so early, I thought. Next, he decided to explore a dungeon, not too hard and not too easy just to maintain our stats. This was a good idea... Until the real reason.

Our meal in the dungeon was happy, but the most terrifying show happened.

Robert walked towards me...

'What's wrong?' I said and I saw his large, thick sword cutting my throat.

At that time I was still alive...

Wait... What just happened? I was incapable of moving my head because it fell, but I saw the massacre. He sliced Eric and Albert's too.

I used my recovery magic to stay alive for some more time, but I can't live for long. Albert still begs him.

' Please... Don't kill me! Don...' And it sliced down...

My tears rolled down my eyes. What happened to Robert?
