Chapter 106: Purpose

Satus was on his way back to the grand hall with a couple of extra sarkists that he freed, he had a nervous expression on his face.

He sincerely hoped that Leo had won the fight, if not he probably would be executed by Abdiel.

Satus silently cursed his decisions, he knew that Abdiel definitely didn't lack the strength to take Leo on in his current state.

 

 

 

Satus also noticed that Leo was exhausted before entering the fight against Abdiel, and he couldn't be blamed for it. The fact that he was able to incapacitate most of the sarkists in their hideout within minutes was simply amazing.

 

 

Satus had found twelve more sarkists and freed them, despite the size of their hideout they didn't have a lot of numbers, there were thirty sarkists in total.

 

 

 

Satus entered the grand hall with the sarkists following behind him closely, he expected the worse.

However, when he entered he was pleasantly surprised.

 

 

 

Abdiel was gravely injured and bleeding profusely, he had been defeated.

Leo was holding Abdiel in the air with one hand at the bottom of his throat.

Leo didn't hesitate for a second and transformed his free hand into a blade form before slowly stabbing the blade through the top of Abdiel's throat.

Leo made sure to keep eye contact with Abdiel as the knife slowly entered his neck.

 

 

 

Abdiel looked at Leo with horror, even though the adrenaline was pumping through his body he still could feel the pain. He panicked and tried to struggle but his body refused to move, he didn't want to die this way.

Leo couldn't help but reveal a twisted smile on his face as he saw Abdiel struggle, after the long fight they had he couldn't help but feel pleasure upon seeing his opponent struggling for his life like this.

 

 

After a while Leo couldn't go slow anymore as he felt his arm bumping into Abdiel's cervical vertebrae's.

Leo quickly put some force in, severing the vertebrae, resulting in Abdiel's neck breaking.

Abdiel ended up passing out from the shock as Leo's hand exited at the other side of Abdiel's neck.

 

 

 

Leo released the hand that was holding Abdiel's throat, Abdiel was bungling on Leo's arm that had just penetrated his neck.

Leo flicked his arm to the side, resulting in the body of Abdiel being flung towards the sarkists that were watching.

 

 

 

All the sarkists were shocked, Satus included.

Leo stepped forward and put his foot on Abdiel's lifeless corpse before calling out to the sarkists.

"Listen up, I will only say this once. If any of you dare defy Ion's will step forward. I will ensure that you will end up exactly like your former leader." said Leo in a cold tone.

No one dared to step up, the fact that Leo had taken out their leader after expending that much energy was simply amazing.

 

 

"One last thing. From now on I will be the one who is in command here in the name of the grand karcist himself. My will is absolute. Relay this message to your comrades."

 

 

 

Leo tried stepping forward in order to leave the room but instantly collapsed on his knees from exhaustion. He had pushed himself too far and the only thing keeping him running was adrenaline.

 

 

 

Satus quickly rushed to Leo's side before calling out to him.

"My lie- Leo! what do you want me to do for you."

Leo muttered out a couple more words before passing out from exhaustion.

"Bring me to a bed..."

 

 

 

Satus sighed in relief as he realized that Leo had just pushed himself too hard before picking him up and issuing an order to the other sarkists.

"Go clean up and help your brothers and sisters! I will take care of our new leader!"

 

 

 

Leo however didn't really get a second to rest.

Well, mentally that was.

The moment he passed out a delayed message rang out in his head.

[Mission update: Regain control over your body and become the sovereign of this sarkic colony (2/2)]

[Mission completed!]

[Reward has been handed out.]

[Reward: 1/8th of Nadox's seal.]

 

 

 

The moment the announcement was completed Leo was transported back to the red void.

Ion once again stood before Leo.

"Now then, shall we clear some things up between the two of us?"
