Chapter 105: Slaying the spider

Abdiel's agility had increased significantly now that he was in his sarkic form.

Leo stayed on guard and traced its movements trying to predict when it would strike.

All of a sudden Abdiel pounced on Leo, pinning him to the ground.

"Fuck!" thought Leo.

 

 

 

Abdiel opened his mouth and ejected a foul-smelling crimson liquid onto Leo's face before retreating.

A smirk could be seen growing on his face as Leo got up.

Leo was about to throw up from the smell, the smell was comparable to that of roadkill.

 

 

 

Abdiel's smirk slowly disappeared as he called out to Leo.

"How come you are not literally melting?" questioned Abdiel.

Leo responded with a stupefied look on his face.

"What are you talking about?"

"You were just hit with a modified variant of stomach acid, around now your face should've started melting off. Tell me, why is that not happening?"

 

 

 

Leo's heart skipped a beat upon hearing this, if it wasn't for him choosing to receive acid immunity he would probably be dead by now.

Leo winked at Abdiel before continuing their fight.

 

 

Abdiel's attacks started slowing down, allowing Leo to catch his breath.

Leo had some minor injuries, he was quite lucky since the intestine tentacles couldn't pack enough of a punch to seriously injure him, not to mention that he got lucky because of the acid immunity.

 

 

 

Leo also couldn't manage to cut the intestines off since each time he went for them they would soften the blow by moving in the same direction as Leo's swing.

The fight had been going on for twenty minutes so far and Leo's breathing had gotten inconsistent, he felt like he was about to pass out.

 

 

 

However, he also noticed that Abdiel wasn't doing all too fine himself.

Abdiel's muscles started randomly contorting and tensing up.

Leo saw this as his chance to move in, if Abdiel happened to overextend his intestines Leo would be able to cleanly chop them off.

 

 

 

However, things didn't go exactly as planned.

Leo saw an opening and swung his arm towards the intestines, however, they bent in a weird angle, resulting in Leo missing the hit.

Abdiel instantly used this opening to swing the ritualistic dagger towards Leo.

There was no way for Leo to dodge this hit, the dagger was heading for Leo's abdomen.

Leo quickly blocked the hit with his arm, resulting in the blade getting stuck in his arm.

Leo counter-attacked calmly and swung his arm towards Abdiel, also hitting him in the arm.

Unfortunately, it didn't manage to cut off his arm, but it was still a severe wound.

 

 

Leo made sure not to remove the blade that was stuck in his arm since it would only result in unnecessary blood loss, it was a basic technique that he learned from when he was in the foundation.

All foundation personnel were subjected to basic first aid techniques once every three years, this was because anything could happen in the site they were located at.

 

 

 

Abdiel attempted to back off but Leo was hot on his tail, Leo noticed that Abdiel was panicking upon receiving a major injury so he decided to push in on it.

And surely enough, Abdiel made a mistake.

He attempted to restrict Leo's movements by holding him at bay with his intestines, yet this only allowed Leo to do what he wished to do for a while, and that would be to cut them off.

 

 

 

Leo quickly swung his arm and chopped off all the intestines in one go.

At this point Abdiel was as good as done.

Leo continued to pressure Abdiel, at one point getting a solid hit in on his leg.

 

 

 

The moment Leo got the hit in on Abdiel's leg he started wobbling before falling on his ass.

Leo wondered what happened but quickly found out after seeing a lot of blood pouring out of Abdiel's leg.

"Looks like I cut the femoral artery." thought Leo.

 

 

 

Abdiel was too weak to fight back at this point, his mind had been crazed from being in the sarkic form for too long.

He could hear quiet whispers all over the place, but it was all quickly diluted upon hearing a domineering voice above him.

"This is your end Abdiel, I have severed your femoral artery. You are probably feeling lightheaded now, aren't you? normally you would bleed out in five minutes but due to your elevated heart rate I would probably give you two minutes. However, don't worry. I won't make you wait so long.

 

 

 

Abdiel felt a hand reach around his throat as he was lifted in the air.

 

 

 

 

When he opened his eyes he saw Leo holding him up by his throat with a mocking smile on his face.
