Leo sighed and nodded, he knew that this moment would come but he was definitely not looking forward to it.

Rejecting it also wasn't an option since he would just get forcefully summoned afterward.

The guards started walking forward and Leo quickly followed.

 

 

 

The guards walked at quite a fast speed, it seemed that Iris wanted to talk to Leo as soon as possible.

They quickly rounded a corner and came at a stop at a door.

"This isn't a meeting room, is it?" asked Leo.

"This is Miss Iris' private office, you should be honored to have permission to enter this office." said one of the guards in a monotone voice."

 

 

 

Leo snorted and entered the office, Leo was sure that if the guard removed his baklava a furious expression could be seen on his face.

The office was pretty minimalistic, it was mostly furnished modern.

An old decommissioned musket hung above her office chair.

 

 

 

"Leo, take a seat." spoke Iris while typing.

Leo obliged and took a seat.

Iris closed her laptop and took a serious look at Leo.

 

 

 

"Why have you already returned?" questioned Iris.

"My mind has been refreshed and I felt combat-ready ma'am, I did not need the extra days of vacation." said Leo with an expression.

Iris snorted.

"That's bullshit and you know it, now tell me the truth."

 

 

 

"I am telling you the truth, I just needed some time for myself."

"No one goes to fucking Poland to clear their mind, you had some business there and I will find out what it was, once I do I will make sure to punish you heavily."

Leo put up a confused look on his face.

"Wait, how do you even know I went to Poland?"

 

 

 

A smirk appeared on Iris' face.

"I sent someone to tail you and they will be turning in a full report soon, but you obviously didn't do anything, so it should be fine, right?" said Iris in a condescending tone.

Leo still remained stoic.

"It's fine, can I leave now?"

Iris got a little annoyed by Leo's behavior but she dealt with it.

"No, you can't, one more thing."

"What is it?"

"Since you are fully combat-ready again and I know you are simply itching to get back in the fray I will move your special mission forward, we got some good offers and we are finalizing the transaction now."

 

 

 

This time Leo's expression darkened.

"What is the offer?"

"We have accepted an offer of thirteen million and we are waiting for the money to be wired, you will be informed sooner or later about the details."

 

 

 

Leo knew that he would have to do another mission sooner or later but he wasn't planning on doing it right now, since they just returned.

He remembered what Noah said, and since the offer aligns Leo really wasn't looking forward to this mission.

He assumed that it was just some corrupt noble who wanted him to steal something or to assassinate a competitor.

 

 

 

"Is that all? Can I finally leave?"

"Sure, go ahead." said Iris in a mocking tone.

She felt like she caught Leo red-handed, something she wanted to do for a long while.

Her biggest problem was that Leo was getting protected by Percival himself, so she couldn't make any personal moves since Percival would reprimand her.

However, she expected a report full of violations from Emilia soon, which would mean she could lock Leo up for a while without getting punished.

 

 

 

Leo walked towards the door and right when he was about to leave the room he turned around and looked towards Iris.

"Oh, Iris. One last thing." said Leo.

Iris shot a confused gaze towards Leo.

"What is it?"

 

 

 

"I just want you to know that you are a fucking bitch, I would be surprised if anyone ever chose to marry you willingly, but knowing you you would just force them."

 

 

 

A confused expression appeared on Iris' face which soon turned into one of absolute anger.

No one had ever talked to her like this without being severely punished or getting killed, yet this inferior agent who didn't even have a million dollars dared to speak to her in such a way? Even the other groups of interests had to respect her!

 

 

 

She was about to lash out towards Leo, but he had already left the room and started returning to his dormitory.
