Leo could still hear Iris yelling slightly but all he could do was laugh.
He had been getting fed up with for long enough, back when he used to work for the foundation he probably would've taken this without saying anything, but has wasn't the same person anymore.
Leo didn't want to be treated as a disposable tool anymore, that is also why he chose to retaliate against Iris for once.
He would still have to do the mission, of course, because if he didn't there would be a severe punishment. For insulting Iris all he would get would probably be a verbal warning from Percival.
Leo knew all too well what he could and could not get away with at this point, he had some decent backers and he wasn't powerless anymore.
Leo entered the dormitory and this time greeted Alex.
"How was your break, Leo?" asked Alex.
Leo used his cover story and told Alex about the break he had and how he finally managed to clear his mind.
"What have you been up to Alex?" asked Leo.
"Me and Kevin will have to run a mission together soon, we are needed for protection this time."
"Oh? Give me the details."
"Well, there is a client here in England who ordered a decent amount of anomalies, but he insisted that he is paying in cash. Since Emilia isn't here right now me and Kevin will go together, Kevin will be in a abandoned building close by to oversee the transaction and to shoot in case something goes wrong, I will be handing the client the anomalies he wants and taking in the cash."
Leo nodded.
"Will you be departing tomorrow?"
"Yeah, probably quite early or late, depends on what the client wants."
Alex and Leo continued to talk for a while longer before getting dinner.
There wasn't much else for Leo to do so he decided to clock in early.
When Leo woke up he decided to brush his teeth first before getting breakfast, he felt quite refreshed.
Alex and Kevin had already departed to go to their mission and Emilia would probably return today as well.
Leo didn't have any plans for today so he decided to study the mechanics of his weapon a bit online.

It was better to be prepared in case the gun jammed rather than being caught off guard.
He never really was interested in guns back when he was a scientist but now he had to actually care for them.
After a while of browsing online, Leo heard the door to the dormitory open.
A person that looked like an accountant stood in the door with a heavily armed guard behind him.
The accountant was sweating heavily.
"Special agent Nightmare, right...?" asked the accountant.
Leo nodded.
"I am sales manager Daniel, I am here to deliver you your mission details along with departure times and such..."
Leo sighed, he hoped that Iris would at least allow him to recover a bit now that he was back at HQ, but it appeared that he had to head out once again.
"Guess there is no rest for the wicked." muttered Leo before grabbing the bundle of papers from the sales manager.
The sales manager and the guard quickly left the room, leaving Leo alone with his instructions.
Leo did feel kind of bad for the sales manager, he probably just got unlucky that he had to handle Leo's case.
The guard was there to escort the sales manager for his own safety and to ensure that he didn't leak the information, but he probably thought something else.
The file he had received once again had a big red stamp on it that said CONFIDENTIAL.
Leo sat down on his bed again before opening the file.
There was no one else in the dormitories so he did not have to worry that anyone would be able to take a peek.
Leo opened the document and was instantly hit with a bunch of information.
He started reading carefully and a look of disdain could be seen on his face.
The look kept growing worse and worse until Leo sighed.
"I could've guessed as much that something like this would happen."
