Chapter 47: Noah Kozlov

There wasn't a lot to do while Leo had guard duty, Crawler was still vast asleep. He needed the rest.

The road was peaceful, there were no other cars except the transport vehicle.

Leo got the chills upon this sight, the situation was really similar to the time they got ambushed by the foundation.

 

 

 

Leo looked towards Artemis, he was vast asleep.

The ambush took the energy out of everyone, Leo wished he would be able to take a break after this mission, but luck was against him.

All of the sudden, Leo heard a grunt.

Crawler slowly opened his eyes and looked toward Leo.

 

 

 

"We there yet?" asked Crawler.

Leo shook his head.

"No, just a couple more hours to go Crawler."

Crawler did not respond again and lay down once again.

 

 

 

After a couple more hours, it was time to switch again with Artemis.

"Nightmare, I will wake you up when we arrive at the destination. Don't expect to get alot of sleep."

Leo nodded his head and closed his eyes, due to all the sleep deprivation he fell asleep practically instantly.

"Nightmare, wake the hell up!"

Leo jumped up from his seat and looked around warily, he gripped his gun as he looked around.

He expected to be in another ambush, but Artemis just shook his head upon seeing this.

"You are one hard guy to wake up man, for a second I thought you were dead."

 

 

 

Leo relaxed his body and let go of his gun.

Artemis spoke once again.

"We are fifteen minutes away from the dropoff point, gear up and freshen yourself up to the best degree possible."

 

 

 

Leo took a bottle of water and splashed his face with it a bit, his appearance would not matter a lot since it was normal for someone to look like shit after the stuff the squad went through.

After another ten minutes, the vehicle slowed down.

When Leo took one of the camera monitors and looked at it he noticed that they were at a warehouse.

When they arrived at the entrance to the warehouse the vehicle was stopped by two muscular guys wearing security guard armor.

One of the guards approached the vehicle before knocking on the door of the vehicle in a specific matter.

After a couple of seconds, the driver opened the door and handed the guard a card.

 

 

 

The camera's quality was too low quality to see what was written on the card, but Leo assumed that it would not be quite important if it was entrusted to a normal guard.

The guard looked at the card for a couple of seconds before nodding at the driver in a way that meant "Follow me."

 

 

 

The gate leading towards the inside of the warehouse opened and the vehicle drove in.

The guard walked up a set of stairs into a room with blacked-out glass.

After a while, the guard came out again but this time there was someone walking behind him.

Leo could not see this person's appearance exactly due to the low camera quality.

 

 

 

After observing the guy for a while longer, the cameras suddenly cut out.

Leo expected another ambush but was quickly calmed down by Artemis.

"The vehicle was shut down by the drivers, that's why the cameras are offline, you will hear a special knock on the side of the vehicle, once you hear it look towards me. If I nod open the door, so not, then don't open the door. You will take the lead and go out first meanwhile I will allow Crawler to lean on my shoulder a bit."

 

 

 

Leo nodded and soon after that there was a knock on the armored door.

When Leo looked toward Artemis, Artemis nodded.

Leo took out his MAC-10 just in case and opened the door.

 

 

 

In front of him was the man he saw on the stairs, he was wearing a suit and had blonde hair, Leo was quite sure that the man wasn't thirty years old.

Leo stood in front of the man, gauging his strength.

The man himself would not be a huge problem, the six guards behind him would be.

 

 

 

Leo looked back at Crawler and Artemis and was surprised.

Both of them were kneeling like a knight in front of this guy.

Artemis quickly spoke.

"Greetings, Sir Noah Kozlov, we are here to bring you your shipment."
