After leaving the library, Jasmine sent the work she was done with to Sinos. Even though King Rian had tried to forcefully make her Scarlet's trainee, she still trusted Sinos the most so he was the only deity she considered her trainee.

She knew that it was wrong because she was disobeying the king, but that didn't mean she was going to let the king use his position to oppress her.

Besides, Sinos didn't want to give her up as his trainee either. The feeling was mutual.

She arranged her complete assignment, rolled the sheets of paper, and tied it up with a ribbon, then summoned Dairon's pet—Cat—and gave it to him.

"Hello there." She jovially let the bird settle on her finger. "Please help me send this to Lord Sinos." The bird chirped and grabbed the ribbon with its claws, making her heart melt. "Good bird.. I will treat you to some grain if you drop by the island later." She watched it until it disappeared with her assignment.

She hummed on her way out of the academy, bumping into Bardumond who was coming in.

"Brother." She looked down in embarrassment, recalling what she did to him the last time they met.

"I was looking for you." He pulled her aside to the garden next to the grand entrance.

"Is everything okay, brother?" Her heart raced. He couldn't have found out what she did, right?

"Everything is perfectly alright. What do you think?" He sounded upset.

She was confused. That was not the kind of tone one would use when nothing was wrong.

"My sister and best friend got married and neither of them thought it was important to tell me. Thanks to the millions of birds in the realm of immortals, I got to hear the news nonetheless." He fumed.

Her mouth widened when she realized that she had not even thought about informing her immortal realm family.

"I'm so sorry." She apologized.

"Aren't you even going to say you meant to tell us but didn't get the chance before I approached you?" He smacked her head.

She looked up at him in complaint. "Would you rather hear a lie?"

He shook his head. He definitely preferred the truth.

"I know you no longer feel comfortable treating us as your family…"

"That's not it." She interrupted. The only member of his family that she had trouble trusting was Lolanthe. "It just slipped my mind when we decided to have a human realm wedding." She admitted, lowering her voice in case there was anyone nearby.

"Human realm wedding or immortal realm wedding, I'm coming whether or not you plan to invite me. I will even come if you decide to kill each other and hold it in the underworld." He was serious, but his words made her stomach flip. Could he not casually mention the underworld?

She laughed dryly. "I don't know if King Rian will let it happen, brother."

"Screw King Rian and anyone else who wants to ruin your wedding. My sister gets to have her wedding wherever the fuck she wants. You can have it in King Rian's sleeping chambers if you want to." He declared, making her burst into laughter.

If she knew that he was such a doting brother, she would have sought him sooner.

"Jas?" He cupped her face with worry. "Did I say something wrong?"

She hadn't realized that her eyes were watering. She blinked the tears away. "No, you didn't. I don't know why I got so emotional out of the blue."

"Did someone bully you before we found each other?" He embraced her, looking like he would skin whoever she would mention.

"No. I'm just grateful that I have you." She wrapped her arms around him and pulled away after a tight hug. "I should get going soon, brother. Dairon and I have somewhere to go."

"That's alright. Let that fish know that I will destroy his marriage to my sister if he doesn't find me for a word later." He warned.

She laughed at his childishness but nodded anyway. "I will."

She summoned Phoenix and hopped on, which didn't come as a surprise to Bardumond. He must have gotten the news from Blaze and Lolanthe. She waved at him as Phoenix took off.

The pegasus landed at Dairon's island and she couldn't wait to find him. He had been out on King Rian's errands and she hoped he had returned.

She ran all the way to the library and when she saw his silhouette, she was relieved.

"You are home!" She rushed over to him.

He didn't immediately react and when he was certain of her presence, he pushed away a crystal ball from his desk.

"What was that?" She asked as she pointed at the familiar crystal that was now floating in the air.

"Something of zero importance." He stood to meet her but she was stubborn.

Seeing as she wouldn't give up until she found out the content of the crystal, he let her pull it towards her with a gust of air.

As expected, the crystal had recorded something. It was her and Bardumond, hugging.

It was short and the only part it played out was when she told Bardumond that she was grateful that she had him. She slapped her forehead. Marina.

"Bardumond is my brother." She explained.

"I know."

She raised an eyebrow. Did he really not misunderstand?

"You are my mate and the only male I would ever have any romantic feelings for. I treat him like humans treat their biological brothers." She clarified in case he still got it wrong.

He held her shoulders and kissed her on the forehead. "Marina sent this to me, flower. I really didn't misunderstand it."

She was relieved. "But you were staring at it." She let it float away.

"I was using it to listen to their plan in the underwater kingdom. I didn't want you to see it because I knew what you would think."

That was a huge relief. The last thing she wanted was a disagreement between her and Dairon for a reason that was not even real.

Since it was settled, she sat down and picked up some of his grapes from the tray. "Do you have any way to send messages to Goddess Alaya?"

"Why are you asking about her?" He didn't look in the slightest bit pleased.

"I need to send her a message so she can drop by for a tea party. We haven't told her about our marriage yet." She reminded him.

He didn't think it was important to let Alaya know.

To be specific, he did, but he knew that if he told her, she would interpret it as his readiness to bond with her. So he left it to Jasmine.

"I have some waterproof envelopes. Just write whatever you need to write and I'll give it to my pet whale." He instructed.

"That's excellent!" She cheered and grabbed one of the pens he had brought her from the human realm, which she used to write an invite to a tea party. It was only when she was done and she sealed the waterproof envelope that she realized how he was gazing at her. It was as though he was jealous.

The thought made her want to laugh. Was it possible to be jealous of one's own mother? Unless….

"Why don't I ever get invited to these tea parties?" He asked jealously.

She was baffled by his childishness but didn't call him out. Instead, she wrote "Goddess Alaya" on the envelope and wrote another letter. He was displeased but she wrote it nonetheless, hiding it from him. When she was done, she sealed it in an envelope and wrote the name of the recipient then gave it to him.

He was about to sulkily stand to send them to the recipients when he caught his name on the second letter.

"To the most handsome daemon, Dairon."

He flashed a smile when he read it out and saw the heart she had drawn at the end of it.

He opened the envelope only for her to blush in embarrassment, which made him even more curious of what she had written.

"Dear Dairon,

I would like to invite you to a private tea party tonight." He read out aloud.

"Stop it." She wanted to shush him but he continued aloud.

"You are required to sneak into my room when the moon is overhead and wear as little as possible. (Because robes and underwear will be provided by me, you dirty-minded demigod. What did you think?)" He paused and laughed.

"I thought you don't want me in clothes because I will not need them." He said it out aloud and continued reading the letter.

"You will be served whatever you want and it will last all night, until the sun rises. I will be waiting for you in bed.

Your not-fragile flower, Jasmine."
