The gentleman heard Jian Shiwu's enquiry, and hesitated for a moment.
Jian Shiwu was still looking at him curiously.
The gentleman smiled and said, "Before asking the name of the next person, don't you have to introduce yourself first?"
Only then did he realise his rudeness and said, "Oh, my name is Jian.. Jian Shiwu, and I work as an actor in the entertainment industry."
"Actor."
The gentleman sat down in the chair beside him, and he took a handkerchief from his chest, wiping the sweat from his forehead before smiling and saying, "I've seen your variety show."
Jian Shiwu was a little surprised.
Although " Go Workers" was a popular variety show in China, he didn't expect it to be well-known abroad, which was a bit hard for him to digest for a while.
The gentleman said, "What's wrong, are you surprised?"
Jian Shiwu nodded.
"I like some of the Chinese variety shows, they're always interesting and enlightening." The gentleman invited Jian to sit down beside him and said gently, "Your co-star was called Gu Duan, right?"
Jian said, "Yes, Master Gu was very nice."
The gentleman was a bit surprised, smiling cheerfully and said, "Do you think he's not bad as a boss?"
Jian Shiwu nodded gently.
As he answered the question, he had already started to look at the small house not far away where Lui Heng had gone in to change, it was reasonable that he should have changed by now.
The gentleman's voice brought him back to his senses: "And what do you think of him, as a lover."
?!!!
Jian Shiwu was shocked and turned his face to look at the gentleman. The elegant and easy-going man in front of him had a smile on his face, but the smile never reached the bottom of his eyes, instead, it gave Jian Shiwu a subconscious sense of danger.
The gentleman looked at him with a smirk and said, "Why, is it because of his temper that you don't like him?"
Jian Shiwu shook his head, "No."
The gentleman was curious, "So you do find his temper acceptable?"
......
Something didn't seem right.
Maybe because he realized that Jian Shiwu was somewhat resistant to this topic, the gentleman did not insist and changed the topic.
The man and Jian Siwu chatted a lot, he was obviously the kind of knowledgeable and very insightful person because from their short talk, he had already figured out some of Jian Siwu's habits and personality over the years.
It wasn't until about five minutes later that Jian Shiwu realized how Lui Heng hadn't come out yet, and he got a little anxious, so he said to the man in front of him, "Excuse me sir, my friend hasn't come out yet, I'll go over and take a look, excuse me."
"Your friend?" The gentleman was not annoyed by the interruption of his conversation, he smiled and said, "You don't have to go over there, I'll send someone over to look for them."
Then the gentleman raised his hand. Jian Shiwu looked a short distance away and two bodyguards in dark suits and sunglasses actually came out from behind a tree a few steps away from them, bowed respectfully to the man and then walked towards the house.
Jian Shiwu was dumbfounded.
He hadn't even noticed anyone else around before this.
The gentleman said, "Well, where were we?"
Jian Shiwu: "You were saying that there was a pastry that was very good."
"Yes that's right, and that pastry chef happens to be on the estate." The gentleman stood up and extended an invitation to Jane Shiwu: "Would you like to try it?"
Jian shook his head, "I have work to do, I have to wait for Mr James to come over to discuss the MV."
The gentleman smiled, "I'll just invite him to dine with me."
Jian Shiwu was already a little wary, he felt this man was being overly enthusiastic, "Thank you for your kindness, but I'd better go and find my friend."
The gentleman stood up, he was taller than Jian Shiwu and when he stood up like this, his aura was overwhelmingly strong, for a moment, Jian Shiwu was in a trance, this man's appearance overlapped with someone more familiar.
The gentleman said, "I have sent my men to look for him, don't you believe me?"
"Don't bother you, I'll go over and take a look." Jian Shiwu paused and added, "It's not that I don't trust you, but because you haven't told me your name so far."
The words fell, and there was silence for a moment.
Then the gentleman smiled, as if it had dawned on him, "So I haven't introduced myself?"
A breeze blew past as he looked down at Jian Shiwu, his voice low and elegant: "My name is Donald."
Like being struck by lightning and unable to move, Jian had a few seconds of buffer time, then gradually his eyes widened and he looked at him with some shock.
Donald said, "You recognise me?"
Jian Shiwu stiffened a little, he didn't know what to say, obviously the man hadn't done anything, but a cold sweat had broken out on the youth's back and he immediately shook his head to regain his composure: "I don't know you."
Donald raised an eyebrow in some surprise.
Jian Shiwu bowed to him and then said, "It was a pleasure chatting with you, I'm off to find my friend, goodbye."
The man behind him did not stop him.
But when Jian Shiwu walked into the house where the Lui Heng had gone in, he found that every door was locked, and when he came out of it, there were rows of bodyguards standing outside.
Those men looked at him in silence and no one answered.
He took his mobile phone out of his pocket and tried to call Lui Heng, but was surprised to find there was no signal for some reason!
Jian Shiwu was not as panicked. He glanced at the watch Shen Cheng had used to contact him. Although he didn't understand how to use it very well, he knew that it might be his only saviour.
Without moving a muscle, he pressed all the buttons on his watch and looked up at the bodyguards, "I've arranged to meet with someone else, if they can't find me I'll call the police too, you'd better take me to my friend now."
The head bouncer said, "Please follow me."
The bodyguard led the way and before long he reached a small pavilion where Donald was drinking tea.
When he saw Jian Shiwu, Donald still looked very kind and even waved at the young man: "Come and try it, the pastry chef has just made it."
Now that the matter had come to a head, Jian Shiwu did not panic.
He sat down opposite Donald, took a bite of the pastry and concluded, "It's not bad."
Donald said, "Naturally, it's not as good as Ms. Zhen’s craftsmanship."
Jian smiled and said, "My mother is very good at these."
"That's natural, I've heard a lot about her." Donald said without moving, "I would love to see her sometime."
Jian Shiwu still had a smile on his face and even picked up the tea next to him and took a sip, "Black tea?"
"Is it okay?"
"The tea is good."
Donald seemed pleased, "I know Mr. Jian likes tea very much, it's quite an honour to be told it's not bad by you."
Jian could not maintain his smile any longer.
He had never met Donald, only hearing his name from his parents' whispers, yet this man was so terrifying that it seemed to permeate his entire body.
Suddenly, a bodyguard came over and whispered something in Donald's ear, and Donald gave Jian Shiwu a meaningful look and reached out, "Bring it."
The bodyguard handed the phone to Donald.
Donald spoke to the person on the phone, "Mr. Shen."
Shen Cheng's voice was also calm and steady, like a usual catch-up: "How is Uncle Tang doing lately."
"Not too bad."
Donald glanced at Jian Shiwu and said with a smile, "As people get older, they like to have a good time, and recently I've had some children come to keep me company."
Shen Cheng: "The children are ignorant, why don't I come and keep Uncle Tang company."
Donald smiled and said, "That's not a good idea, older people just want to enjoy the fun of family, you should spend more time with Yuanfeng."
Shen Cheng's voice lowered a few degrees: "It seems Uncle Tang doesn't welcome me."
"Those are your words."
Donald's smile slowly turned cold: "Uncle had a nice chat with the kids, let's meet again next time."
There was a pause on Shen Cheng's side, then the man's voice was gloomy: "Put him on the phone."
Donald had waited for this moment, in these four years of fighting with Shen Cheng, this young man had shown impeccable aggressiveness, he had hidden Jian Shiwu too well, not returning to China for four years, not contacting nor appearing in front of him, such tight protection, he was indeed touched.
"Mr Shen." Donald said slowly: "What is the a rush, how come you weren't in a rush when you swallowed 20% of my shares, what are you going to do next, let me guess, call a shareholders meeting and kick me out?"
Shen Cheng opened his lips, "The shares were sold by Charles."
"But it was you who secretly manipulated him to lose all his money in the casino before selling the 20% of shares, wasn't it?" Donald laughed instead of being angry: "Shen Cheng, I really underestimated you."
Shen Cheng: "It's your hand that's too long."
Donald said slowly, "Shen Cheng, let uncle give you a piece of advice, even your father couldn't touch me, you can't either, as for your little friend, I will take good care of him."
The phone was cut off.
Jian Shiwu was listening with trepidation next to him, he probably understood that Donald was trying to threaten Shen Cheng with him.
Donald hung up the phone, looked at Jian Shiwu, resumed his smile and said, "It seems that he cares about you more than I thought."
Jian Shiwu: "What the hell do you want, what you’re doing is illegal."
"Illegal?" Donald smiled, "I just want to offer you a cup of tea."
Jian swallowed.
Just as the two sides were at a standstill, suddenly another bodyguard ran over and he lowered his voice, "Sir, the young master is here."
Donald's face turned pale.
Jian Shiwu didn't hear what they said, but he heard the sound of a car, and looked sideways to see an SUV driving over in the distance, driving very unreasonably and wildly, braking with a screech outside the small pavilion, and then a red-haired man in military trousers got down from inside.
The bodyguards along the way didn't dare to stop him, and even those who were too slow were kicked by Gu Duan.
The man walked all the way to the pavilion, and before Jian Shiwu could even look back, he glared at him and cursed, "Rubbish."
