Trewy was confused. She alternately looked back and forth between the deers and Nemu. On the one hand, she was surprised by Nemu's aura, on the other hand, she was confused about what just happened to the deer.

"It's still there..." Trewy said. "I can still feel the nature spirit."

"Yes." Confirmed Nemu. "I can clearly see it. The stag didn't move, and not just the stag. All the deer are still standing here. Is that an... illusion?" Nemu was confused. Maybe a skill?

"So... About what's in the reports. That the white stag just disappeared. That wasn't teleportation or something that dryads use. The stag didn't disappear, it was just an illusion and because of that they couldn't see it anymore?"

"It seems so. But why can I still see it?" The demon castle was also protected by an illusion and at that time he couldn't see anything because of it, he did feel it though. But now, all the deers were still standing where they were before and looking at him. It doesn't help... 'Guide?

[Your "Detective" skill lets you see through most illusions].

Oh, convenient. Thought Nemu.

"Still. I would have expected them to run away." Said Nemu.

"It's your aura." Explained Trewy, looking at Nemu. "It's clean. All the auras I've seen before had only one color, but yours looks like a.... Rainbow." She was seriously surprised. That Nemu had kept it from her didn't even occur to her at the time. Nemu's aura was definitely something special, there was no hostility in it. No, it is the opposite. It feels calm. The stag aura is also calm. But with Nemu, countless different colors mix and none of them are even remotely unpleasant. Trewy thought it had to feel overwhelming because the colors were constantly changing and blending, but it didn't. "It's pretty."

"Thanks." Said Nemu, blushing.

"But, other than that. Why would you do that here? It was pretty obvious it would scare off the deers, wasn't it?" Nemu was once again surprised at how quickly her mood could change.

"I know. I'm sorry. I didn't think about it before." Nemu said, trying to shrug it off.

And finally, the illusion began to wear off. The stag was the first one it wore off on. His silhouette changed from transparent to snow-white in a few seconds. And after him, the other deers became visible again. Considering how skittish deer usually were, they were really lucky that they didn't run away immediately. Invisible or not. Nemu suspected that this group behaved differently from other groups. Maybe it would break the illusion if they ran away at the same time. It was obvious that not all deer had this ability. The deer had to be able to maintain an illusion not only for itself, but also for its group.

Nemu tried to touch the stag again and the stag did not move. Actually, the stag was even calmer than before, looking at Nemu. If his aura had the same effect on him as the stag had on Nemu, then he must be feeling good now. Lucky. Nemu was not fooling himself. He messed up because he wanted to show off.

"Do you still want to name him?" Trewy asked.

"So, you think I can do it now?" Nemu asked mockingly. Trewy just nodded.

"Hmm..." Nemu strained every cell in his body in search of a good name. "Hmm.... It's hard!" He finally understood why Rimuru often used names from his old world. It was already hard for him to even think of a name. But it had to be something special! Not only was it his first name, the majestic stag deserved a great name. He should have read more of Veldora's manga and just stolen a name.... He'll have to make up for it. But this time there should be no cheating.

Trewy and also the deers looked at him. The stag was far more intelligent than his deer companions. He could feel that the slime wanted to give him something. However, he did not know what and therefore he just waited. Trewy understood Nemu. It must be really hard to think of a name. It was something that will accompany the stag all his life.

However, after Nemu's tenth Hmm, even the stag became impatient.

"Oh!" Nemu finally had an idea. "What about Cervi?"

"Cervi?" Trewy thought about it. "I think that's a good name."

"Good! Whew, that was really exhausting. I should think of some names beforehand in case I do that again." Nemu let out a sigh.

"I thought you should be careful about giving names. Do you really think it's a good idea to think of some beforehand?"

Nemu ignored it. She was right. But he will be very careful with that. Even if he should already think of some names.

"So..." Nemu turned to the stag again. He didn't know what was going to happen. Giving names could be dangerous if he would not be strong enough. If Trewy had advised him not to do it because she was unsure if it could have negative consequences for him, he probably would have left it alone, but she seemed to be sure that it would work. The stag was strong as it was. The monsters in the forest were no comparison to him. Except for Kumo. In addition he was connected with a nature spirit. Whatever would happen to the stag, he will be very special in the future. Even more special than he is now.

"From now on, your name shall be Cervi!" Nemu said out loudly. Huh? Nemu's vision grew dizzy. He had read that sometimes when you give a name, you pass out and it uses up all your mana. So that's what it must have felt like? The radius of his magical perception became smaller and smaller. Until... it went black. No, there was still a white light and a voice.

"Nemu? Nemu?" Nemu heard a voice coming from far away. But it kept coming closer and closer. Until finally Nemu could see clearly again. He felt more exhausted than ever before.

"Nemu?" Trewy said again while poking his body with her finger.

"Wha... What happened?" Nemu still hadn't regained his senses.

"You passed out." Trewy said and looked at him worriedly.

"How long?" Nemu tried to understand the situation.

"A minute or so. Didn't think a name would knock you out." She said with a small smile on her face. "Your aura... It's very weak. We should take a break here for now."

The stag, no, Cervi and his entourage were also still there. They too looked worriedly at Nemu. They knew even less what happened.

"Don't worry." He said to the deers. "I'm fine again." He tried to hop from the ground but was still too dizzy. However, the deers seem to have understood his intention.

Nemu really wanted to know what would happen with Cervi. He knew that Cervi had already evolved. Each race has different evolutions. Some of them can evolve many times, while other races can evolve only once. Like goblins, they can only evolve into hobgoblins and they have their limit there. However, many other races had more evolution. Like spiders, an Arachne was the highest form of evolution for spiders, though there were other evolution below that. Most of them only let them grow bigger but here in the forest that could be a big advantage. Nemu was pretty sure that a deer could only evolve once. But... There is no evidence for that. So Cervi could evolve one more time. But that would take a few days. Unfortunately, Nemu will not see it, he knows that Cervi and his deer will move on soon.

Nemu had another thought. Earlier, Trewy had said that Spirits can only connect with Dryads. However, Cervi obviously connected with a nature spirit. And if he can do it, maybe Nemu can too! He should start some research later. But that had time. Maybe Rimuru knows something about it. He could ask him now, but Nemu didn't want to bother him now. He was probably busy. When they are back in Tempest he will find out. Hmm, he thought about the possibilities. A nature spirit would be pretty cool, yet a water spirit like Trewy has would be pretty handy as well. How many are there anyways? There was little information on Spirits, as they were as mysterious as dryads themselves. Nemu already knew that there was a fairy queen who ruled over all Spirits. Maybe he should pay her a visit! But it will be hard to find her. Didn't Veldora tell him that he knew her? Nemu should ask him the next time they meet.

"We should stay here today." Trewy suggested. It was only afternoon. So far, they had been out every day until evening before finding a place to camp. But Trewy was aware that Nemu was very exhausted. And he was grateful for that. There was no need to rush anyways. And so, Nemu agreed.

Still, Cervi pointed with his head in one direction. He didn't say it, but it was obvious what he wanted. He wanted Trewy and Nemu to follow him. So contrary to their initial plan, they wouldn't rest here for the rest of the day.

Like one unit, the deers started walking when they realized that Trewy and Nemu would follow them. They moved slowly through the forest. Actually, deers are faster, Nemu thought. Whether they walked slowly because of him or the group always moved so he did not know. After all, the group was very different from the deers they had met before. Without a doubt, Cervis’ doing.

And so, they followed them for about an hour. Until they finally reached their destination. Nemu was reminded of the place where he got his name. They were in a clearing covered by grass. What was completely different was that nature spirits were in the clearing. Dozens of green spirits slowly and calmly flew over just above the grass. They looked like green shimmering dots.

Trewy and Nemu were stunned. The energy here was unlike any other place they had visited before. No, Trewy thought back. It felt like she was in her home. Nature spirits lived in her grove as well, even though it was a little weaker here, it still reminded her of it.

"The place reminds me of home." Said Trewy softly. Not that she would miss it, however it was nice for her to be reminded of it again. It gave her a nostalgic feeling. Again, something she hadn't felt before. Since leaving home, she felt truly safe for the first time.

Nemu just looked at it. Without saying a word. The Spirits, as they moved across the meadows, had an almost hypnotic effect on him. Even more than looking into the flames of a fire.

They didn't know why the deers had brought them here. Perhaps it was gratitude? Because the deers knew what Nemu had done?

They will camp here tonight. Both agreed without having to say it. The Campfire was replaced by the green nature spirits.

Nemu wanted to thank Cervi, but.... He was already gone, along with his group. Actually, Nemu didn't even know how much time had passed since they had arrived here and watched the nature spirits. He was a little disappointed, at least he would have wanted to say goodbye to Cervi. But he was sure that they would meet again. He was excited because he really wanted to know what Cervi would become.

Trewy noticed it now too. She also sighed and thought the same as Nemu.

They both walked to the middle of the meadow. Even though the Jura Forest was huge, it had one thing in common, trees. And here in this area was a large meadow. They had seen meadows before, but none were as big as this one. A very pleasant experience. But it wasn't just the size. The grass seemed different, too. Greener, gentler, and healthier. That was probably the best way to describe it. It had to be noted here that Trewy and Nemu had never left the forest. Even on Nemu's journey before reaching Tempest, he had never seen such a large open area. He had heard that outside the Jura Forest there were areas where not a single tree could be seen. This will be a great experience for him, he thought. There were no trees here, but the edges of the forest, which formed a circle around the meadow, could not be missed.

Wait... Aren't dryads trees? So you could say that Trewy was the only tree in the clearing? Nemu shook his slime body. He could not imagine Trewy as a tree. Trewy noticed that Nemu had a funny thought and rolled her eyes. She didn't even want to know.

And so, they spent the rest of the afternoon and evening watching the spirits, very happy that Cervi had led them to this place.
