It was the day after when Tsukiko smiled and waved a very exhausted looking Kazekage goodbye, the delegation in tow that were looking at their Shinobi team leader a bit strangely as if something was off.
Anuk who was standing behind the Kazekage, his wife Karura next to her and waving goodbye waved at her with a bright smile.
Gene waved back, and Tsukikos smile got even more dazzling than before while the Kazekage himself seemed to grow just a bit paler than before and their delegation left. After the first assassination attempt they had been in high alert but nothing happened while some Suna Shinobi were complaining about the fact that someone, anyone as a matter of fact, from an enemy nation had been capable of sneaking in and attacking key personnel in their village
The Desert sand was dry and got basically into everywhere, it was impossible to keep out.
And then the wind picked up too and Gene suddenly realized why the leader of the Sand village was called Kazekage, it was indeed extremely windy, so windy in fact it almost tore someone off their feet.
"Gene!", she heard Tsukiko scream and turned around, she was similarly to everyone else wrapped up in a coat, she shook her head. "We cannot go on like this!", she shouted over the noise. "There is most likely a Sandstorm coming soon!"
Sandstorm.
"What now!?" she screamed back.
"We try to seek shelter, maybe return to Suna if we find the way." which was unlikely. Another gust of wind almost tore her off her feet and she had to search her balance and go into her knees.
"To late!" Itachi shouted and pointed to their left.
"F*ck." Tsukiko cursed. "Huddle together, we use our coats like blankets for...."
Itachi suddenly took out a giant piece of fabric from a storage Seal.
"That is better!" he shouted, and everyone looked at him.
"Is there anything you have not planned ahead for? It is not storm season here." Gene asked and saw how her fellow teammate shrugged his shoulders and everyone started to get together.
"The weaker ones into the middle!" Tsukiko shouted. "Gene, can you make an igloo?"
Gene didn't even answer, she merely nodded and moved her fingers, forming the Ice into a Igloo above the blanket they huddled underneath.
"What now?", the somewhat pale diplomat asked, and Tsukiko shrugged her shoulders. "We wait." she answered him. "And hope the Igloo will keep."

"We wait?", he asked, doubting. "You are Shinobi, can't you do something against the storm?"
"Shinobi are not gods Sir, we are humans too and there is no human in the world that can control or contain nature." Gene answered him and sat down. "We cannot do anything but wait until it is over."
Silence filled their small shelter while the wind outside was howling and hitting the Igloo. "Now it is getting bad." Tsukiko said and smiled. "That reminds me of the one time I was stuck with Anuk in a stone cave in the middle of a damn desert planet."
Everyone looked at her.
"Imagine, two weeks on tight proximity of Anuk, I was happy those damn enemies arrived ar the end and I could actually do something but simply....." something banged against their Igloo.
Their heads moved, and a strong wind was blowing inside against their blanket. "Was that a stone?", Itachi asked, while Gene noticed how Shisui maneuvered himself behind her, as if to protect her.
"Hey there." they heard a voice and then Itachi growled loudly. "You forgot something."
"Anuk?" Gene said, and suddenly had the feeling she was missing something.
"You forgot something." A head peeked into their cover and Anuk handed her something. "For you, from me."
Gene opened it and saw a wooden badge.
"And this is supposed to be what?" she asked, she was genuinely confused why her cousin would come over all the way from Suna Village till here, in a sandstorm to give her a piece of wood.
"Secret, but let us say it might come in helpful one day if there is ever a conflict with Suna, I got it from Karura, is for family purposes only so Commander no chance you get one of those?"
"Are you sure, I could just snag it." Tsukiko said with a gleam in her eye. "If it is what I think, it is a true treasure."
"Not a chance, and not your way to snag something like that." Anuk answered her and her gaze went blank, the same kind of blank Tsukiko wore when she was being angry enough to kill, as if some switch in their brains had been flipped."
