Chapter 108: 4Months#6 A Call To The Loved Ones

In a brightly lit royal looking room, a girl was sitting at the table near the window. Her red hair falls down to her waist as her concentration reaches the peak while she looks at a certain diary on the table. She corrects her glasses and takes a sigh before continuing to write.

ANNA'S POV:-

Dear diary,

It has been 5 months since I needed to join the Royal Academy. Looking back at the time I have been allotted here, no, to be honest, it all started mainly 7 months earlier when The Demons and Devils failed miserably and lost at their attempt to kidnap Corey and the others. 

To be honest, their plan failed because of a certain mage, or it would be really odd to call him a mage at his point but, since I have no other words to define that guy, I will call him a mag-

"Hey! Anna, what are you writing?"

-Slam

I hear a voice from behind and close the diary immediately. My eyes glare at a certain girl in front of me. I observed her closely to see her bright coloured face, which complimented her pink coloured hair and pinkish eyes. The other thing that stood out were her rabbit ears, signifying her beast lineage. 

"How many times do I have to tell you not to disturb me, Britney?" Glaring at her, I speak as I hide my diary behind my back. Her eyes curiously follow me for a while before turning at me as she speaks with a curious grin.

"Are you….?" Her sentence trails off as her grin gets wider and she keeps looking at me. 

Then

-Whoosh

A space portal opens out of nowhere and a few faces come into our vision, on the other side of the portal. I and Britney both take our stance to fight, but a voice comes on the other side of the portal.

"Hello! Mike Testing! One! Two! Three."

A familiar voice comes and my eyes widen as I realise whose voice is this. Then a face comes in front of us, or rather, three faces come on the other side of the portal. 

Dumbfounded, I look at the familiar faces, who are smiling widely at us. I blink a few times, wondering if it is really real or I am just hallucinating.

"Hey Lucy! Do you know who they are?" Britney asks me as she asks me with a serious face before looking at them once again.

"I think I do," I say whatever comes to mind.

"What do you mean, you think you do? Hag, did you really hit your head at the Academy?" Chase speaks from the other side of the Portal with a smirk on his face. Light is smiling as usual, and Corey looks thrilled as he looks at us.

I look at them and a smile blossoms on my face before words come out of my mouth,"Happy birthday, Pipsqueaks."

Chase's expression distorts a bit before he laughs and then everyone else does too except Light, who is simply observing us and Britney, who is confused as hell right now.

"Ah! Britney, meet Light, Corey and Chase. PipsqueakS, meet Britney, my roommate." I introduce them to each other before looking back at Light. He seems to be doing better right now.

"How are you, Anna?" Corey asks with a curious smile as he observes something behind me. I turn to look at the open diary that slipped from my hand because of the commotion caused by the sudden portal opening.

My eyes turn wide as I shriek and run towards it before picking it back up and hiding it behind my back as I glare at Corey, who seems to be really interested in my diary.

"All right, my powers are at a limit. So, Anna, we are fine and you look the same to me. We might...no, we will arrive at the Royal Academy in 2 years' time from now. As for any other details, I can't provide any details to you. I hope you understand." Light speaks before the portal closes again. I tried to raise my hand to catch it by reflex but alas it was too late.

"Well, that came out of nowhere, but at least it makes my mood much better than before," I pondered as I put my hands on my chin.

"HMMMMM…" Britney hums as she looks at me for an explanation. A wry smile forms on my face as I think about all the explanations that I need to do in order to explain the previous situation.

"Well, since you already saw this. Let me sign a contract of confidentiality first before I explain everything to you, all right?" I look at her as I take out the aforementioned contract from the drawer and give it to her. She reads the contract before nodding and signing it, then looks at me with a curious expression as she sits on the bed with a pillow on her lap. Her eyes are urging me to start the story already.

"So it all started when I visited Eros town…."

In a certain room, a couple is sitting g against each other and working on a few documents. The man is writing and passing them to the women and the women check them before pouring mana into them.

JULIA'S POV:-

"Hey, how do you think they are doing right now? If I am correct, then they are turning 9 today," Stephan speaks as he looks at me before turning back to his documents. Before I could answer him,

"We are doing fine, father," a voice, or more accurately Light's voice, comes out of nowhere. Dumbfounded, we look at each other before looking around, only to find a portal right above the table from which Light, Corey, and Chase are looking at us with a slightly teary, slightly sad but mostly joyous face.

"I can't tell you where we are currently, but we are in excellent shape. Since it is our birthday. I thought about talking to you using a few tricks I picked up on the journey," Light speaks nonchalantly as he looks at us.

A wry smile forms on my face, as I see his 'tricks', which he is showing to us. Sighing, I look at them with a slight smile before speaking, "We are doing great, too. Is everything fine, kids?"

All three of them nod before explaining a few things which happened to them. Hearing their story, the thought of asking them to come back passed through my brain so many times, but I stopped myself from doing so. After all, they have currently set their growth in the right direction. Tying it down will only be detrimental to them.

'Looks like Light was right, huh? I doubt anybody else can make them grow this much, this fast.'

I and Stephan were really dumbfounded when we heard what Corey and Chase can do, but maybe I have already seen Light's hidden power. I wasn't really as dumbfounded as Stephan was. We talked a bit more about this and that before Light said that he was running out of mana and the portal soon closed.

After the portal closed, Stephan started smiling and humming as he once again started his work. I too followed his humming and complimented his tune, while also getting engrossed in my work as a smile forms on my face.

MORPHEUS' POV:-

"How do you like the gift?" I ask Corey and Chase, who are all smiles. Their faces tell me it thrilled them to receive such a gift.

"Thank you, brother," says Corey and Chase at the same time as they hug me. After a few moments of silence, they step back and look at each other before looking at me.

"We are going to sleep, thankyou for the gift once again," Chase speaks on behalf of both of them and then both of them leave the area.

I then turn at Lia, who is peeking in my direction with her face bright red and a wry smile forms on my face as I realise what is going on in her dirty mind right now. Sighing, I look back at everyone who is enjoying the party. I ponder over the work which I should have done by now, then shake my head before joining them once again.

After everything was over, and everyone left, I sat down on a chair and relaxed back as I closed my eyes.

My consciousness fades and I enter my subconscious mind where Dark was sitting on a chair reading some magazine of sorts.

He looks at me, then stands up and gets closer to me before looking at me, then clicking something before a golden glowing ball comes in front of us.

I look at Dark, then at the ball before getting closer to the ball and raising my hands at it as I speak.

"I guess it's about time we wake up Light Eros from his slumber."
