Chapter 69: Reincarnations And Reincarnates

MORPHEUS' POV:-

"Sir Aether...I am Alex," Zwain speaks as he looks at me with a bitter expression. Everyone turns silent and waits for Zwain to continue. People keep staring at me and Zwain at times and at times they just concentrate on Zwain.

"Stop," King Allen then asks Zwain to stop before telling the reason," I need everyone other than those sitting and standing around the table to get out of this room. It's not that we want to keep it a secret but people who aren't strong enough will die in the next few days by the Laws present in this world. In other words, anything beyond this is forbidden knowledge."

After King Allen spoke the first one to get out was Lucy followed by Kaneto and then slowly everyone else. Adolphus stayed and people took Arlington with them. Lia too stayed saying that she is of the Royal blood so she will be fine as she is protected by the Laws. The ones who had left had many questions on their faces, especially my brothers and Kaneto. Before we could start Corey ran back in again towards me and spoke,

"Brother...you really are our brother, right?" He asked with sincere eyes. His face looked confused and slightly complicated with emotions all over them.

"Yes, I am and will always be your brother," I spoke with a smile on my face. Just because I wasn't born in this world does not pertain to that I am not allowed to have a family in this world. I didn't have any brothers in my old life so having 2 in this life felt like bliss honestly.

A smile forms on his face as he looks at me before making the face as if he is recalling something. Then he says 'ah' to signify as if he recalled something before speaking again,

"Brother! Brother! When I had enlightenment, I found myself in a white space where an older me appeared. He asked me to pass this message to Aether 'They are safe'. I don't know what it means but since brother is also Aether, I thought I should tell you that," Corey speaks as he recalls back everything that had happened during the enlightenment.

My mind blanks for a second before a smile blossoms on my face as I hug my brother as tightly as I can. He looks stunned at my action but I can care less about it. It is the first wonderful news I have heard since I entered in this world. The fact they are safe means I can go all out without having to hold back at times but I will still keep some cards hidden for the future. Truly, a large boulder has been lifted from my shoulders with that news. I separated Corey from me and looked at his face again. He looked like an angel...a real angel.

He seems embarrassed at my actions with traces of pride and joy present on his face.

"Phan, I'll talk after this meeting is over okay? Tell me more about what happened during the enlightenment," I speak as I ask my brother to go out which he does so. I look at him till he goes out of the room. Then as soon as the door closes, my expression turns serious as I look at Zwain again.

I take my seat and signal him to continue. There are still 14 people left in this room. These are the first ones who will know about my reincarnation. They must also provide something in exchange to know my secret if they want to continue living in this world. Hopefully, there won't be any bloodshed later.

Zwain gulps as he looks at me before continuing,

"I am a reincarnated person. So is Morpheus, I won't talk about him anymore as I don't want to be killed for telling any unnecessary information. In my old world, I was a useless kid who was then saved by a certain someone. After being saved by that person I was going to change for the better but before I could do so, I ended up being reincarnated in this world against my will. I clearly didn't die but it was a bright light that covered my whole room and that just reincarnated me into a young Elf's body. I also inherited his memories and powers along with my own powers..."

Zwain then told us about his journey in this world but with the way he was speaking, he was mostly telling us nonsensical stuff. Even before the reincarnation thing, he did not tell us anything useful about our previous world, just the fact that we reincarnated.

Looking at other's faces except for the Pixie Queen and the Wood Fairy Queen, no one else is shocked. This thing intrigued not only me but Adolphus and Zwain too. We were honestly expecting some form of grand reactions or sorts but there seems to be a piece of key information missing here. I turn to look at King Allen as he smiles and answers,

"I am Reincarnated too. Probably not from your world but another. It's not that big of a secret among reincarnates and other high nobles. Since you are one too it will make things easier to explain it to you," King Allen dropped a bombshell again but this time only Zwain and Adolphus were shocked. As for me, I had my eyes opened up a bit before realising that it would make sense and give a reason for all of his previous nonchalant behaviours if he was trying to know whether I am a reincarnator or not.

"This world Morpheus or should I call you Aether, is a playground for some higher beings where they put their champions to win and reach a higher level of playground. This world not only has Reincarnators but also Transmigrators, regressors and various other types of strong people. Not only this planet but there are other planets too but that is something I have only heard and not seen with my eyes so I cannot confirm," King Allen starts talking about classified information as if he is reading the morning newspaper. I can't help but wonder if he is seriously telling the truth or just lying through his teeth. At least my instincts are telling me it's the truth so I am taking it as so.

King Allen pauses for a long while as he tries to recall something before he looks at me and continues again,

"Aether-"

"Call me Morpheus, I don't want my name to be used this frequently by someone I just met," I interrupt him. There are other reasons for not letting him call me by my real name too but let's ponder over them later.

"Morpheus, what I am about to tell you now is something that will be related to your do's and don'ts in this world. Plus also about the reason why I ran from my kingdom to come here as fast as I can.. Let me tell you everything I can as a fellow reincarnated human shall I?" A smile forms on his face as he starts talking about the truth behind this world's existence and its Laws and Rules.
