Chapter 75: Passing Time#4

"Haha," I couldn't help but chuckle at the sudden change in the situation. Truly things get interesting when it comes to Morpheus, huh?

Looking at their expressions they seem to slightly vary from us. Albe guy looks like he is slightly panicked at the situation but before he could speak anything to diffuse the situation Lucy spreads her fire at every platinum rank adventure that covered us. Looking at the wildfire burning the men couldn't help but take a second look at Lucy. 

"So you have a way to differentiate between them?" I ask her as I look at her.

"I do, it is something I developed with the help of Leader. He said that I will be needing it in the future. Now that I think about it, it really is a strong ability if used properly isn't it?" Lucy speaks with her eyes burning reddish-purple as she looks at them. They weren't humans or Elves. They were Devils, Devils who haven't left the city and still lurking around within the city. According to Morpheus, any Devil who won't leave the City is killable. Morpheus made sure only the Devils who were meant to be saved got out of the city. The rest can be wiped and treated as worthless insects. When questioned by Zwain what is the difference, Morpheus simply said to look into them and you will find the answers to that.

Lucy then later found out that every Devil she checked into yesterday has either committed some atrocities or is charged for doing so.

The fire then burns out the Devils. Albe guy seems to be shocked at Lucy's sudden actions, Kaneto doesn't seem to mind it and that only baffles Albe more. He seems to be finding more difficulty in understanding the situation.

I then sense a few wild monsters coming in Albe's direction. From his looks, he doesn't seem to realise the danger he is in.

Albe guy turns around only to find a giant monster looking him directly in the eyes. Getting numb Albe falls on his butt. His mind seems to have stopped working as he looks at the monster. 

The monster raises his hand to hit Albe but before he could do so, Icelos moves and blocks his attack with a sword in one hand. Icelos then looks into the eyes of Albe who seems to be shocked at this development. Clearly even I am shocked at this situation, 

"When did Icelos get this strong?" Lucy seems to be astonished as well. 

Kaneto observes Icelos as he thinks before speaking, "he seems to be hiding his power, looks like he is stronger than we had anticipated."

The reason we are surprised is because the monster that Icelos blocked is a Calamity Grade Monster.

[Author's Note: There are different grades of monster with different power levels but for the easy briefing here are the comparisons:

Lower-grade monsters= Can be taken out by an Apprentice Level Human or Bronze level Adventurer

Mid Grade Monster= Can be taken out by Mid-level mage or Silver Rank Adventurer

High-Grade Monster= Can be taken out by High-level mage or Gold rank Adventurer

Superior Grade Monster= Can be taken out by 5 High-level mages or Platinum Rank Adventurer.

Calamity Grade monster= Can be taken out by a Supreme Mage or 5 Platinum rank adventurer

High Calamity Grade and above will be included in the auxiliary chapter(soon)]

Even still, a monster of this calibre shouldn't arrive this early. This is going to get interesting again, isn't it? I then look at Icelos who is looking straight in our direction as he declares, 

"I am not going to lose to Phantasos. Even if I don't get enlightenment, I can and will get strong, I won't give up because my brother was just more lucky than me. I will be stronger than him. I will be stronger than both of them, I'll do it. After all, it was he who said I can. It was Leader who said that he will believe in me and wait for me to surpass him." 

Icelos speaks as the surrounding gets quiet.

We were watching him struggling against the force of that giant monster. One has to know that calamity grade monsters are one of the strongest level monsters. It takes at least 5 platinum rank Adventurers to defeat a monster of that level.

"[Aura Arts: Superhuman]" Icelos unleashes his Aura Arts.

"That monster," Lucy seems shocked at him unleashing Aura Arts.

One has to know that unleashing Aura Arts required at least years of training before one could unleash it properly and the backlash isn't something a child of that age could handle…but he seems to be smiling in all that.

A smile forms on Kaneto's face as he looks at Icelos.

" [1st and 2nd Circle open]" Shouts Icelos as he runs towards the monster.

The Monster was fast for his size as he immediately arrives behind Icelos but before he could do anything Icelos vanishes from his original position, observing him carefully he is releasing a ridiculous amount of mana. It reminds me of those Circles that Leader drew behind their backs.

Icelos jumps at the trees then at the monster's face cutting his left eye

. Jumping back and then again aiming at his face, this time he takes out the right eye but that was only the start, he kept moving around cutting the monster at all the joints then at the tendons then all the other weak points.

After giving him 1000s of cuts in a moment, he takes out his other sword. This had an Ice Aura covering it. Looks like he had another weapon he was saving for later.

He then once again moves in the same direction where he started from, first left eye then right eye, then joints and finally all the other weak points.

He then puts the weapon back into his dimensional storage and then takes another sword.

After taking another sword and pushing it down the same path he finally creates some distance and breaks the pattern. This time he takes out his usual wooden sword with which he practices against Kaneto and Lucy.

"[Sword Arts: One Slash]" That monster once again does something ridiculous.

This time even Kaneto looks shocked at that kids' actions. 

"Sword Arts are something that you develop after years of training and by years I mean at least 10years for a normal person. Even if his talent is taken into account it should still take at least 5years to develop and perform a sword art this good," I hear Kaneto explaining about sword art or rather explaining about how absurd the feat that Icelos just performed is.

Time starts flowing normally as the slash takes place creating a gust of wind cutting down everything in its path.

The monster seems to be in a state of pain, frozen, poisoned, burnt, weakened, etc all at once.

Before the monster could move again, Icelos slashes him into two pieces.. Two halves of the giant monster fall in two opposite directions as we watch Icelos standing there smiling like a maniac as he looks back at us.
