After travelling for a week, we finally reached a Teleportation Circle that leads us to Alfheim. I look at the militarized city with Elves watching around each and every corner of the city. In the centre of the city, there is a big teleportation circle that covers roughly 20 to 25 metres radius of area. 4 pillars at 4 corners are present with each supplying energy to the Circle. Looking at the pillars carefully, they are connected to the buildings at a distance away from the circles.
After each and everyone of us were briefly checked, we entered the Teleportation Circle. The Teleportation Circle shines and the surrounding space distorts. I activate my circuits and check how the circle functions. Looking at it in slowed time, I found that it's not just us that are teleported but the space around the Circle along with the Circle itself is exchanged from the other circle. There are a few Space Magicules present in the air, signifying the use of space magic.
After a few moments of dizziness, the space and the vision returns to normal with us being teleported into the Royal Castle of Alfheim.
"WOW! IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!!" speaks Lilith with sparkles in her eyes. Corey and Chase agree with her as they too seem mesmerised by the beauty surrounding us.
'Well, it is as I expected after observing the city of Eslaine. A city made up of nature.' I think as I observe the surroundings.
[Author's Note: I am going to give a big para filled with various surrounding elements. Skip the para if you want, though you might get some difficulty with imagining the surroundings. But mostly, it should be fine.]
The Teleportation Circle is the same as before, except the pillars are much wider and taller than the other one. It was set up at a higher elevation, at least 50metres above ground, with a bridge that connected to a massive castle up ahead. If you look down from the edges, there is a lake right at the ground level below the Teleportation Circle, around which houses made up of lavish wood and decorative flowers are present and many elves are looking up at the Circle curiously before returning to their work. On the other side of the houses there are more houses with Towers, probably Watch Towers, which are present in a circular symmetric fashion with the castle as its centre. After that there are markets and a few other buildings like, training arena, schools, nursery, etc, beyond which forest covers the area as far as you can see. Looking towards the Castle, I see a huge Tree behind the Castle, that reached the height of the clouds. It is the Heaven's Library, which boasts of the maximum knowledge preserved of the World of Visca. People say that it has as many books as you can think of. If you observe carefully, then you will find a wall behind the Heaven's Library that stretches even higher than the Library itself. A greenish brown wall that stretched 10s of Km, as I observed it. After observing it for a few moments, I came to a simple conclusion. That wall looking thing is The Tree of Life, Yggdrasil. Seems like there is more of the town on the other side of the Castle.
We walk towards the castle on the bridge as Corey and Chase, along with Lilith and Lucy, run towards the Bridge's edge observing the Town below. A few guards who were present on the Teleportation Circle came to escort us. There was another man present among them, with as much mana as Zwain has.
'Must be another Elf Branch, but how come I have never heard about him?' I looked at the blond-haired Elf, who had an angry yet disgusted expression on his face. 'Well, looks like not everyone is happy with our arrival, but why did the King send someone who doesn't like us?'
We then move towards the castle, at the other end of the bridge, where Istan and Lia are waiting for us. They slightly bowed to me, stupefying the guards and the other Elf Branch, but nobody spoke anything. We are then asked to follow Istan and Lia towards the King's Place. After following Istan for what felt like hours, we finally reached our destination as a big Golden Gate appeared right in front of us.
"Jeez, that felt like an eternity. Just why do people build such big structures? Are they an idiot? At least, put some cart or similar thin-Oww owwow owo owww" Kaneto hits Lilith as she starts spouting nonsense. The other Elf Branch had an even more angrier expression than before. Lucy, Corey and Chase give an apologetic smile to him at which he hmphs irritatingly before concentrating at the gate in front of us.
The gate opens and a marvelous hall comes right in front of us. Inside the hall, doing a quick calculation, I see 15 chairs on either side, all occupied by different old looking Elves. Right in front of us are the King and Queen with two empty chairs beside them. Lia and Istan went and sat there with a composed look on their faces. Guards are standing between each chair on either side and two Royal looking guards are also present on either side of the Elf King's family.
Everyone observes us as we move closer to the King. Then, after reaching the King, I see Zwain moving forward and bowing to him.
"ALL OF YOU ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF HIS MAJESTY, THE ELF KING. BOW NOW OR YOU WILL BE BEHEADED AS AN-'' One of the Royal Guards announces in a loud voice at which an interesting smile forms on mine and Leraye's face. Except Lilith, who freaked out, but still didn't bow. Everyone else from my party is pretty calm about it. Istan and Lia however had a horrified face as they looked at the Royal guard with their eyes wide open. The Royal Guard is cut off before he could complete his sentence as the Elf King speaks up.
"IT IS OKAY. Zwain, stand up and explain to everyone what happened in Eslaine."
"This is Kaneto and his Party, Grim Verdict. A month ago, I received a tip from their party members to check at a certain place in Eslaine. I would've paid little attention to it if there wasn't a mention of the Devils' presence in that tip. On checking the place, we found a few Devils present in the city. Once a tail was caught, more and more Devils were found in the city. The major cause of their new disguising ability that helped them to disguise their demon energy is still unknown to us. After a week of searching, we found out that they had replaced the Pixie and the Wood Fairy Queen too. The Devil Reflector was responsible for it. Right after a few moments, the Devils launched an all out attack on Eslaine, which resulted in a small-scale war between Devils and other Races within the city. On research, a mage named Arlington, from Skapia, was found to be responsible for the whole planning. The Devils were supposed to take Princess Lia out of there carefully, but I suppose because of some internal struggle or probably sudden emergency, they sent a high Devil to do the job along with a Sapphire ranked Adventure, Parker, all by themselves. Our helpers here not only saved Princess Lia but they also defeated Parker and the High Devil. After that Prince Istan arrived with Yavanna followed by Human King Allen and Your Majesty. After that, everything was handled by your majesty and Human King Allen."
Zwain briefs everything as he spouts nonsense, like there is no tomorrow. Looking at the acting of the King and Queen, along with Lia and Istan, I can't help but be surprised. Seriously, they looked as if they were really contemplating and deciding what they should do next.
"All right. So they must be rewarded, Zwain, since you are the one who handled everything. What do you think should be the right reward for them?" The King asks with a benevolent smile. He looks at Kaneto and then at me with a slight smile.
"The Heaven's Library. They wanted to gain knowledge. They are in search of something that they are in desperate need of. Since giving them an allowance at least for the first few floors would be no problem for us, I believe it will make everyone happy if we give them entry to only those floors," Zwain speaks with a slight smile but then a voice comes from one of the person sitting,
"Give them money and let them go," a purple eyed Elf spoke as his short blackish purple hair came into my vision. He spoke that, then bowed to the King, before leaving from here. A few people nodded at him, then stood up and left too. 7 out of 30 people left, the others observed the King.
"What about the others? I want to know what you all think?" The King asks as he looks at them.
"I will respect your decision, your Majesty. I know it is not a good thing to allow other races to enter our Sacred Library but with the amount of help they had provided in saving Princess Lia, I believe it won't be wrong to give at least this much access to them. After all, there really isn't any problem with them having at least this much freedom. However, your majesty, I would like to have some limitations on them too," He speaks as he bows.
The King looks at him." What sort of limitations?"
The man smiles with a sly smile then speaks up,"Only one of them has to enter the Heaven's Library. No one who has mana above a High Elf is allowed to enter in the Library, because of security issues. Lastly, they have to at least have an Elf Branch with them every time when they enter the Library."
The King nods 'understanding him' then smiles and says," it really is a delightful idea. This will solve everything, as nobody will be against it, I believe."
Looking at the King's face, he really looks happy with the direction this is going.'Well, it does make the Elves superior and winning against us, without disturbing us in any way possible. As for the guy who comes with us, I believe it will be Zwain. Truly a marvelous solution, I guess.'
The other people also look like they are happy with this solution. The King then looks at us before asking Kaneto, "these are the conditions. You can choose whom to send. Decide right now."
'Such Dominance, eh?' I look at my party to see all of them smiling as they look at Kaneto.'
"I accept your decision, your Majesty. I will choose this kid. His name is Morpheus." Kaneto, my man of few words, speaks with a serious expression showing a slightly annoyed face. Taking his annoyed face as a sign of loss, the Elves smiled before everyone started leaving.
"All of you leave except Morpheus," Elf King Geralt commands and everyone leaves from that place, except Lia, Istan, me and the King.
