Chapter 14: My First Quest!?

I stared at the window as the soft cooling winds blew into the room. There was a slight creaking sound as the door began to open."So you're finally here. Thomas." "GAH! How did you know it would be me!?" "I don't know. Guess my luck is that good?" He winced slightly before moving to sit in my bed. "You can sit there." I added as he fell softly into my bed and sat.

 

"Where are the others?" I glanced at him and stepped back to my bed. "They had a bit to do." He said as he glanced to the ground before returning his eyes towards me. "Looks like I'm going to have to wait for them. After all, I will be announcing your guys first mission." Thomas stared at me. 

 

His eyebrows began to slant. "First mission?" "Yes. I will be giving you your first mission." The door began to reek slightly and before I knew it the other two boys had entered the room. "Thomas I thought you would have just waited for us outside the house of the boss!" The fat kid Eric said as he walked in with James following shortly behind him.

 

I rose and began to speak. "It's good that all three of you are here right now, because I will be giving you your first mission." "Our first mission!?" Eric and Thomas said aloud as their eyebrows began to slant. In the case of Thomas his eyebrows slanted some more. 

 

"Yes. You heard me correctly. Your first mission." James gulped as sweat rushed down his forehead. "But don't worry. This test won't exactly be difficult and it isn't meant to be, but I'd like to see if you can do it during this mission." "So what's our mission?" Thomas asked as he glanced at me. A smile crossed my face.

 

"Your first mission will be showing me your skills!"
