I went back to my car and sat down in the backseat. The driver Jonny glanced my way, then looked around looking for someone. His mouth tightened as though trying to form a word but decided against it.

"Do you have something to say?" Without looking at him I said so. He looked like someone who had constipation.

He wiped his forehead with a handkerchief, and started hesitantly, "Uh, young master. Where's miss Narvi? Didn't she... follow after you into the forest?"

"I sent her on an errand," I replied casually while tapping my finger on my phone. I keep sliding the list until a familiar name popped up on the screen. Modern problems require a modern solution.

You-Know-Who: Hey, it's me. I need that contact you have been talking about. Someone stole from me and I want to know when they will be leaving the nest.

DonJon: Easy peasy my bro. But I'm a bit busy right now. Maybe when I'm done? A guy needs to sweat a ton to feed his baby, yeah?

You-Know-Who: I already transferred the money.

DonJon: My bro, I'm hurt. You think of me that way bro? I'm not that low. What kind of person am I to leave a bro in need hoho. I'll send it right away.

°°°

After I transferred some of my pocket money to DonJon's account. He immediately sings like a parrot. In the end, money is everything. I logged out from the forum as I thought back to our meeting. He's some kind of information broker Himiko introduced to me. We are not that close, and definitely not friends. Although his personality is questionable, his kind is handy to have. As long as you have money, you can get various intel from him.

Suddenly, my phone vibrated. I glanced at the screen and was immediately hit by some kind of Dejavu. I dialed the newly obtained contact.

beep~ beep~

"Alloha~ Hatsume here, the only tech extraordinaire! Who am I speaking with?"

"I'm Joey Wallenstein. I've been hearing your name lately and It's an honor to finally hear from you miss Hatsume."

I don't know what happen but suddenly dangerous noises started to play out from the other side of the phone. There is banging and clanging like someone throwing a lot of heavy things around the place. I also hear Hatsume screaming as the background noise. I wonder if she's doing some kind of dangerous experiment right there. But whatever she downright there, I don't think it's going well.

Hatsume coughed for some time before coming back to the phone, "Who are you again? I think I'm hearing things right there. It sounds like you're saying something about being the son of the sword princess." Hatsume burst into laughter, "That sure takes me by surprise."

Isn't she kinda exaggerating? Maybe this is a new kind of advertisement to make me frequent her service, whatever that is.

"Well, you're not wrong. I'm indeed Joey Wallenstein and I'm here to ask for your service."

She should be able to track those villains. Well, I hope so, or I might have to hire plenty of people to scour the city which may take a long time and a lot of resources.

"What! You're the real deal?! Oh my god! I can't believe this. Is this finally my time to shine?" She started to float into the wonderland. I can't even keep up with her excitement. This is without a doubt Hatsume Mei from mha alright. But this is not why I'm here.

"Sorry, miss Hatsume. But this is an emergency. Can you check the forest I was on right now?"

"Umm, wait a moment..." I hear the sound of running. She's opening a door, but it keeps clicking. Ah, the door is locked. She is saying some gibberish while wandering all over the place. Sigh, I bet she's looking for the key. Am I gonna rely on someone like her? I'm starting to lose hope. A moment later, I heard different kinds of clicking sounds. It's the nice one, I'm pretty sure. And I was right, she went inside and the noise of keyboards clinking began.

I don't have to wait long before she's back to me. "Young master Joey! I'm done with the preparation. What do you want me to do? Are you by chance looking for some custom-designed magic tools? I can send it to your location right away! I'll even show you my best babies if you want!"

"Ah... yeah, that sounds great, but maybe next time. I'm in need of your other talent."

"Oh? It's... disappointing. But I'll listen regardless. You'll know who to call when in need of amazing babies."

"Of course. I'll come back later for that. You have my promise! Today I want you to monitor anyone who comes out from the forest. You know the place."

"Roger! It will be done, sir! Ah, by the way, where did you get my number?"

"DonJon would be the guy."

"DonJon... DonJon... ahh, that guy with the stupid hat! I remember him. Seeing that he gave you my number, I bet he will have a good future ahead of him.

I ignored the last bit of her nonsense, "Well then, I'll be waiting for good news." I ended the call, but before I could stretch my limbs, it vibrated in my hand. I opened the private messages.

Narvi: You're right, Dusty is fighting against three people here. By the looks of it, they're heroes from the Lidaten Guild.

Huh? Lidaten Guild... isn't that the guild of the Ida family. Then it makes sense for them to be there. They must be trying to save the younger brother of their Guild Master. If I'm not wrong, their guild master is that guy.

Joey: Do you know who they're sending?

Narvi: I don't know the two but the guild master of Lidaten, Tensei Ida is here.

Huh? The Guild Master personally making a move, is he that worried about his brother? But why only bring two people? And it's two no-name members no less. There should be plenty of strong combatants in his Guild. Something about this smells fishy.

Joey: Have they saved Tenya Ida from the villains yet?

Narvi: I don't think so. They're trying to capture Dusty Ash for this exact reason.

Joey: Keep your eyes on Tensei and his subordinates. Be careful.

Without waiting for a reply from her, I put my phone away.

Inside the forest, a voluptuous woman was engaged in a battle with three men. But due to the wound on her left shoulder, she could only stay in a defensive position. Dusty raised the hammer to her side and with a bam, a kick landed on it. She turned to the owner of the leg that attached her hammer. A young man in his thirty with black short hair is glaring at her. He had an uncanny resemblance to Tenya Ida.

Dusty sneered at Tensei, "It's no use, even with one hand, you won't be able to take me down. Not with these grunts." She gave the two men beside him a disdainful look. "It's better if you just give up, Tensei. Give us the key and you will be able to meet with your little brother again."

Tensei replied, "Out of question. I can't trust the words of a villain. Get her!"

As he spoke, two of his subordinates also moved as well, eyes burning with anger at her humiliation. With Tensei as the head, they come from three different directions, totally surrounding Dusty from all sides and cutting off her escape. Dusty used her hammer to take care of Tensei's onslaught while she used her legs to fend off two subordinates.

"Get close and grab her!" One of the grunts on her left moved right away when he heard Tensei's voice.

"In your dreams!" Dusty cries out as she tries to kick the annoying flies but she suddenly loses her balance as Tensei grabbed her hammer and yanks it to the side, allowing one of his men to cling to her body.

"Bastard! Let me go!" She cursed the man hanging on her limbs. It was at this time she saw the other grunt. He dashed toward her and thrust his sword at her back. Trying to stab her to death. Her eyes flashed with cruelty as she abandoned her hammer. She turned around and whacked the swordsman's face with her free hand. The man groaned as he fell. Before the sword dropped to the floor, she caught it in her hand.

She grinned. But before she could celebrate, the sound of the engine reverberate in the forest and she turned the sword around to block the incoming blow from Tensei.

Bam~ Fwooshh~!!

The impact was too strong, and without her hammer, it send her flying. Dusty hand slap the man hanging on her side with her palm before flipping in the air and landed on the ground.

She spits out the blood residue in her mouth and sneers at Tensei. "There are no more small fries to distract me. Give it up, Tensei."

"Who is it..."

"What?"

"Who is the traitor?" Tensei glared at Dusty, he looked calm but it was clear that he was pissed. His rage is simmering beneath his eyes, waiting to be released.

Dusty blinked, a bit surprised. But then she shrugged her shoulders. "Well, look at that, you finally figure it out, huh. Is that why you only brought these two pieces of trash with you?" She snickered, "That's so funny it's hilarious."

Tensei growled, "As I thought. There's a traitor among us. That explains why some random villains would know about the Key existence."

"Please, you're not that different from us." She let out a mocking laugh, "You're using the Key to smuggle magic stones and monster drops from the dungeon. You're also a villain~"

Tensei widened his eyes in shock. "H-How did you know that?!"

Dusty covered her mouth with the back of her hand and giggled, "Isn't that obvious by now?"

Tensei's body quivered as his eyes swelled with rage. "Those traitorous bastards..."

"Please don't misunderstand, guild master Tensei. We're not blackmailing your guild members to get what we want. It's a transaction, purely a business."

"Is that bullshit coming from someone who kidnapped my brother?!"

Dusty showed him a sympathetic look, "You might not believe this but our Guild doesn't have any intention to kidnap your brother. It's not our style." She then sighed, "Unfortunately, our hands are tied. We don't have a choice in the matter."

"Bullshit! Listen well, you villain! You'll never get the Key's location from my mouth! It's useless even if you threaten me with torture! You hear me?!"

Dusty stared at raging Tensei and tried to calm him down, "Look, that thing is beyond your means. You won't be able to hang on to it if the news leaked to the Ten Families."

"Are you blackmailing me?" Tensei's frown deepened, and malice flickered in his gaze, "As long as I get rid of you villains and those traitorous bastards, no one will find out about my secret."

She shrugged, "Unfortunately, your plan is no longer feasible. There are already plenty of people who knew of this matter. Even if it's not me, someone else might leak the matter to the public."

"No, I think it's just a matter of time for that to happen." She corrected. "Let's face it, you're done for."

The veins on Tensei's forehead bulged, fury gleaming from his gaze. But weirdly enough, he showed no sign of charging toward Dusty for her provocation. Seeing this, she let out a knowing smile. "This is why I like dealing with intelligent people."

"Tensei, the guild master of Lidaten, I have a proposal for you..."
