Chapter 16: Episode 15 – Party

After all the formality the party really begins.

While the adults are chatting among themselves. The children all go to a special area, where they can act freely.

While some are eating and chatting, especially the girls are having a tea party, others are running around, dueling in an arena where the guards are watching, others are setting up their groups and factions.

(At least here it is less boring than that place full of nobles judging and evaluating you all the time) - Marcio

(We still have some doing that here) - Max

"Hey, do you know where the other capture targets are?" - Milena

"I've only managed to find a few so far" - Max

"The crown prince is over there surrounded by girls" - Milena

Alexander, because of his beauty and position many are interested in him. At the moment the girls are trying to make him at least resemble their faces.

"I think I saw Allan in the arena" - Max

Allan Sapphire, son of the captain of the royal guards, has a strong personality, for him who grew up listening to the stories his dream is to get the same position as his father, although he loves to fight and train, he is not a complete muscle brain.

He has deep blue hair, has a good physique, in the future, besides being tall he will be quite muscular.

"I don't think we'll be able to find the teacher and the pope's son" - Alice

While we were talking about them and the future, the crown prince approaches.

"We are honored to have your presence your highness, is there anything you need?" - Max

"I believe that although you are dressed in each other's colors you are not engaged yet correct?" - Alexander

"You are correct your highness" - Max

"Good, if I am not mistaken you are Milena Eastwood, correct?" Alexandre

"Correct" - Milena

"Milena Eastwood, I was delighted by your presence, would you do me the honor of being my princess?" - Alexandre

To show that everything is okay, I move closer to her and lightly rub her head.

A little embarrassed she answers me in a voice where only I can hear.

Alexander, seeing the interaction, is not very happy.

"Borrow some clothes from the guards, I don't want the excuse that the clothes got in your way.

I'll prove that I'm better than this little prince.

After changing clothes and choosing our training weapons we entered the arena.

This event was so unexpected that the adults are watching.

A duel is a practice considered sacred in the kingdom, it is a way for those in a lower position to give their opinion and not be oppressed.

The duel also serves as a form of entertainment.

I am carrying two training swords, one in each hand. And Alexander is carrying a training sword and a wooden shield.

After we get into position, Your Majesty speaks a little.

"Today we will have a duel between my son and the son of the margrave for the hand of a woman" - King

Someone seems to have already explained what happened to the king, however he has no desire at all to stop it.

He is alias stimulating the audience and will act as a jury.

Later I learned that the king did this to stimulate the crown prince, apparently the prince was growing accustomed and bored with studies. Because of this, the king thought, what better than a rival to motivate the prince again.

With the signal from the king, the prince starts running towards me.

In order to gauge the prince's capabilities I stood still waiting to defend the attack.

My fighting style is focused on speed. Because of this I have already realized that I am a little faster than him.

"Are you afraid and can't move?" - Alexander

The prince attacks me while teasing to see if I lose my temper.

But that has no effect on me, for me, in front of me there is an enemy and I must defeat that enemy.

As I yoke the movement and force of the prince's attacks, I realize that the prince really has talent.

As the swords make a clashing sound, I turn away, and start to move toward the prince.

The prince so far has managed to attack well and is able to fend off my attacks.

But little by little, I start to go faster and faster. Some of the attacks are no longer defended by the prince.

Taking advantage of this I decide to attack hard and with both swords in the same place.

Maybe he didn't expect this, but the prince's sword comes out of his hand, and taking advantage that the prince is unarmed, I point a sword at his neck.

"Damn it" - Alexander

"We have a winner, Maxuel Gold, clap your hands" - King

The prince is by no means weak, as a warrior I respect him, maybe if he had a little more experience I might not have won.

"Thank you, that was a good duel" - Max

I offer my hand to him.

"You won this time, but don't think it will go on like this" - Alexander

He accepts my hand.

"I won't give up" - Alexandre

After bowing to those in the audience, we go back to one of the palace rooms to change clothes.

"You were amazing, I hope to fight with you too" - Allan

"When we get a chance" - Max

Being able to train with the son of the royal captain is a good experience, but at the moment I only want one thing.

See Milena.

(It was a good fight, I can already imagine the stories that will be told about a duel for the hand of a beautiful maiden) - Márcio

On the way I spotted her.

"Clearing" - Marcio

I ran to meet her and gave her a hug. During the duel one thing that didn't leave my mind was the chance of losing her.

"Hey, we are still in the palace, what are you doing?" - Milena

"Sorry, let me stay like this a little longer" - Max

"I have no choice then" - Milena

Speaking this, shyly she hugs me too, after a while I calm down.

When I realized what I was doing I was quite embarrassed, but I don't regret anything.

For the rest of the party several people came to talk to us, while some asked why I was so strong, others asked if we could fight a little too.

Milena, on the other hand, was surrounded by girls, apparently love and romance is their favorite subject, some asking how we met, how we fell in love, and various other things.

Other than that, nothing much happened, by the end of the party I was dead tired, but determined not to stop striving.

Because of what happened, the theme of the tea parties for a long time was about stories of a knight dueling for the maiden's heart and about the love stories they had lived or witnessed.

"Father, I want the best martial arts teacher" - Alexander

"I can get it for you, but I'll tell you up front, Maxuel doesn't just excel in martial arts, they say he won that lady over through knowledge" - King

"Then I want the best teachers in all areas, I will prove that I can be better than him" - Alexandre

"That's good, but I recommend that you also make friends and don't think of him as an enemy, but as a rival" - Rei

"In the future you will be a king and he your vassal, if you want to beat him, show him that you are someone worthy to serve" - King

I'm going to be someone worthy to be king, I thought there was no one better than me, it seems I had a closed vision.

I guess I'll have to try harder again.

Thus, a flame is born inside the prince, in the future the two will be great friends, but only in the future.

Without anyone noticing, the history of the characters and of the game has begun to change, what consequences will this bring? Nobody knows, but one thing is certain, the future will not be the one that was written in the game script.
