Chapter 24: Chapter Twenty Four- overseeing the sunset

Chapter Twenty Four

While we were walking the endless paths through the school, we walked by a couple of friendly seniors who gave us pointers about what to expect. We also learned that it was only after seven that the restrictions on visiting the boy’s and girl’s dormitories were on.

When we learned this, I went to help Claire and Clara who had rented a two-person room to unpack their luggage.

“Alright it’s almost seven, I need to head back and get unpacked as well, I’ll see you guys tomorrow, goodnight.

After I got a hug from both of them I said goodbye and went across the school to the boy’s dormitories, however, while the sun was going down I decided to take a seat on a bench to watch it go down.

The scenery was amazing, truly one of the best scenes I had seen since I got to this extraordinary world.

However, while I was in a daze, I heard someone talk.

“Hello.”

It was the voice of a girl, I turned to my left to see an alluring girl who was about the same age as me, she had rosy-pink hair that went down to her shoulders, dark blue eyes, and attractive breasts. She was just slightly shorter than me, however, her presence made my heart feel warmth and respect, it felt as if she was royalty.

“Hello?” she asked again. Probably realizing that I was in a daze.

“Oh hello, I am James Wrathead, I presume I’m in the same year as you,” I replied.

“Well James, my name is Rose, and you are right, I am in my first year like you, I saw you earlier with those beautiful girls beside you." she giggled while covering her mouth.

I embarrassedly scratched my chin.

“So Rose, what brings you to this bench at such a late time? Are you perhaps watching the sunset?” I asked.

That was probably the only reason someone would stop at such a random place at night to sit.

“Yes, this is my first time seeing such a beautiful sunset, I might get addicted to coming here every night.” She replied while giggling.

She was the embodiment of cute.

“Well it isn’t much, but allow me to escort you back to the girl’s dormitories. Although nothing would probably happen, it doesn’t sit right with me knowing such an innocent girl is walking back to her room all by herself.

She giggled again and then smiled. “Well James, if it isn’t too much of a hassle for you, then I gladly accept your offer.”

“Alright, but first let’s watch the sunset first, we don't want to waste this chance,” I said while she nodded.

I had an extremely pleasant time talking to her, it felt as if she knew exactly what I was going to say and perfectly responded to all my questions.

Once the sun set, as planned I escorted her to the girl’s dormitories. Although not far, I still felt it better to bring her here, rather than her walking back alone.

“I had a great time talking to you James, if you would like, would you mind watching the sunset with me every once in a while?.” She asked, somewhat nervously, it was the first time I had seen her like this tonight.

So she also has a bashful side?

“Of course, anytime you want, just come up to me after class and ask,” I replied.

I had gotten to know that we were both in S-class, although it didn’t surprise me that such a girl would be in S-class.

After nodding, we said goodbye to each other before she walked into the dorms and I walked back to the boy’s dorms.

Once I got inside, I could see my stuff on the floor. Since it was a one-person room, there was not as much space as Clara’s and Claire’s room, however, it was still pretty spacey. Big enough for me anyways.

After I unpacked (I didn't bring a lot of stuff) I had a bath. Then got ready for bed and read a book Elizabeth gave me on the history of the old magic continent for a while before falling asleep.

The next morning I was almost late to meet Claire and Clara as I had to wake up myself.

However, I got up and went down to the girl’s dormitories where they were waiting for me angrily, I got yelled at for being late. Then we started the day by going to the cafeteria for breakfast.

The cafeteria was also split into different tiers. S-C class, naturally we were at the very top floor, usually, I would be ecstatic by being at the top, however, I had just woken up and my legs felt like they would break by the time we got up to the top floor.

When I looked around however, I saw a familiar face. It was Rose.

After I waved to her and she waved back, I could see Claire and Clara pouting. Incidentally, Rose noticed this too and began to giggle.

Since there was enough space, I decided to bring Claire and Clara to sit down next to Rose.

“Good morning Rose, is it ok if we sit down here?” I asked.

“I’m fine with it, but I wonder about the two behind you, fufu.” As she pointed to the even more jealous acting girls, I pinged their foreheads to shut them up and we sat down.

Although hostile at first, after talking for a bit, Claire and Clara Rose started talking like three sisters. And they even asked to be friends, to which each other agreed.

After talking for a bit longer, the bell rang.

After breakfast, it was homeroom.

Since the four of us were all in S-class we all walked up to the top floor of the school together and sat down next to each other once we got into the class. Since we left before most people in our class at the cafeteria, I expected us to be some of the first there, however, there were already plenty of new faces who I had not seen yet.

I guess they skipped breakfast.

After getting sat down, we chatted about a couple of things and chatted to a few of the people behind and in front of us, they were nice people. Not like those vexing nobles we had met at the parties before.

As we were talking, the door suddenly opened up, guessing it was the teacher everybody became quiet. However, it wasn’t long before some shouted.

“Gregory!”
