Another bone-chilling blast of ice crashed into the ground further ahead. It emerged from a silhouette that almost resembled a dragon, but with the thick blizzard obscuring my view, there were no other details I could make out. I was hoping that was also the case from the Drake’s point of view, which would do us some good right about now while we sorted these two drunken idiots out.
Artos leaped off his horse and trudged through the snow, causing it to fling everywhere as he stumbled to his brother, who was still planted deep in the snow. I made my way to the drunk caster and hoped he didn’t crack his head on a rock or something.
“Oi! Get the fuck up!” Artos kicked his brother, who snored away as if he was lying on a giant feather mattress. Artos turned him around and tried shaking him awake, but I bet the Bosa had done a number on him.
“P-power… shot,” Atreyu mumbled before getting back to his snoring. This resulted in another kick from his brother to no obvious effect, apart from the rhythm of snoring.
After a closer inspection of the Caster, he too was rocking away in the same boat, napping like a new-born babe. I tried shaking him awake, but all I got was a jumble of goblin speech. I sighed in failure, “this isn’t going to work.” I started turning to face Artos, who shrugged in disappointment.
“It seems like it’s just up to us.” He said before turning to Azer. “Get your cart behind that line of trees and tell your men to take cover… this might get nasty.” When the Drake turned his attention toward us, “Ali’Creed, brace yourself, looks like it’s coming down for another sweep. Remember to be careful with your attacks, I heard some people in the distance… don’t want any friendlies getting caught in the crossfire.” He raised his shield above his head so that it covered both him and his brother.
“Alright… “I agreed, “I doubt that shield is going to be any good.” I shook my head before the beast arrived in a sweeping motion, but before the attack escaped its mouth, I managed to get a closer look at the creature, which caused the system to automatically scan it. While I charged my hand with magic.
