The three prisoners behind Matthew were shaking their heads in fear. They couldn't even scream or reveal the information Ethan was looking for since their mouths were stuffed and taped.

While examining the prisoner's fearful expressions and constant struggles to survive, something awakened within Ethan. He was smiling as a calm feeling washed over his body. He felt free for the first time in his life.

Ethan was thinking about how he could do anything with this power and authority he has. He can even kill someone, and no one will say anything or stop him. The feeling of trampling anyone under his feet like a bug, Ethan shivered in excitement.

The endless struggles Ethan faced during his time on earth created an enormous amount of rage in his heart, which was buried deep into his heart. The chaos in his heart has begun to sip out. The power of Boss has begun to react to Ethan's rage. And Ethan was going on with the flow without any hesitation because he wanted this feeling and power to last forever.

Ethan's eyes went toward the wall where different torture equipment was hanging. He took the chopping ax and slammed it on the hand of one of Matthew's men, chopping it off from his wrist in a single hit without blinking an eye.

"Mummfff!!!" The prisoner was writhing in pain as blood spewed everywhere, but he wasn't able to move as he was chained to a chair. Tears and snorts were dripping from his face.

"Open their mouths. If anyone screams, chop off their limbs," Ethan looked toward Allison, who was standing stunned. But she quickly regained her composure and opened their mouths.

None of the prisoners screamed, including the one whose hand got chopped off. They closed their eyes and were trembling after witnessing such a brutal incident.

"You must be wondering why I chopped his hand off without giving him any chance to speak, right? Well, let me answer that question," Ethan said with a stone-cold expression while watching blood dripping from the ax, "That's an example of what's going to happen to you guys in the next few minutes... I am going to ask a question. If you lie, then... You get it, skinny?"

"Boss, he is bleeding to death," said Allison after noticing the puddles of blood on the floor. The prisoner has blacked out. She has never seen Boss interrogating someone this brutally. She thought that since they tried to poison him, steal resources, and frame the innocents, Boss was getting revenge for them.

"Let him bleed a bit more," replied Ethan.

'That's right. How dare they try to kill my Boss? Serves them right. He must be really pissed off. I have never seen him this angry... This manly... Aaahhh!!! Those cold eyes. What the heck am I thinking? Haaa. You stupid girl... That's right, it's better for them to die,' Allison's eyes were on Ethan's face.

"Oh. No, no, no, please, no... Oh, God!!!" Matthew shook his head and pissed his pants again, "I will... I... I..."

"Shhhh!!! Don't open your mouth. Not yet," Ethan walked beside Matthew. He grabbed his arm and raised his ax, "Now, Matthew, my man... I know a fag like you don't have the courage to carry out a crime of this level. So, who is behind all these messes?"

Ethan asked Matthew about the mastermind's details with a calm smile. There were frizzles of blood on Ethan's face, and when he smiled calmly, it nearly gave Matthew a heart attack.

'The f*ck!!! Oh, God, he is smiling,' Matthew blacked out for a moment, but he came back to his senses after feeling a cold sensation on his wrist. Ethan was gauging the height from which he could chop off his hand without scattering much blood.

"Ramon Hart. His name is Ramon Hart, ruler of the Winston fortress," Matthew began to spill everything he knew.

Ramon Hart is the ruler of the Winston fortress. It is the strongest fortress in the southern region, known for its best winery. But for the past couple of years, it hadn't rained. Their primary water source dried up, and their crops died. The drought hit them hard.

Ramon tried to find a way to dig up another well, but no matter how hard he tried, his efforts didn't yield any result. Without any way out, he decided to trade off their stored wine and liquor to the outer regions in exchange for water.

Things worked for a few months, but it got worse when they ran out of stored liquor. All the water they got went to the people of the fortress, and they didn't have enough to invest in the winery. That's when they heard about the Drogos fortress, a place with water distillation plants where water contaminated with nuclear wastes can be distilled into drinkable water.

Ramon had sent a team of merchants to make a negotiation with the Drogos fortress. It took them six months to arrive, and when they tried to offer a deal, the previous fortress master looted everything from them and threw them in a slave fight, where they were slaughtered for fun.

Luckily, Matthew and his team were hiding outside. Their job was to infiltrate and smuggle out as many resources as possible if the negotiation failed. And it did fail. That's when they started their mission of infiltration into the fortress in the guise of bandits. They disguised their own people into slaves and came to the previous Drogos fortress master to sell them. That's how they got in.

"Then, why didn't you say anything when I took over?" Ethan asked Matthew and threw his ax on the floor, "And what about that old man and kid? Why frame them? And who else is hiding?"

"We were past the point of asking for help," Matthew closed his eyes, "Muller... Kekeke!!! With you and her here... Hahaha!!! The things we do for our family..."

'What the heck is this...? Heartbeat?! Matthew's heartbeat. But how??? He isn't lying... What is this feeling?' Ethan thought. He could see the soundwaves of Matthew's heartbeat and feel the vibration of his fingertips. It was like ripples and waves, except its in the air. His eyes went toward the prisoner with a severed hand. His heartbeat was getting weaker, every second.

"I understand how you feel... But, you should have asked me. And, yet, you did something this foolish," Ethan said as he dragged a nearby chair and slumped on it with a sigh, "Carry that bleeding bastard to medic..." He ordered Allison.
