After the Cavias family left, the man that had taken him to his room on the first day Matthew arrived in the orphanage, the man named Robert, came to the seven-year-old boy at night that day.
Robert entered the room at around nine in the evening, after Matthew had just returned from eating dinner at the canteen. He said with a normal expression on his face, "Get ready, tomorrow is the day you will meet your magic tutor!".
Matthew had been waiting for this day since he entered the orphanage, and was told by Robert that he would be trained. At first, he thought it would be on his third or fourth day here, but an entire week had already gone by now.
"It took me some time to get the money, the approval of the boss here, as well as finding you a good, and cheap magic tutor. Just so you know, this one costs 10 gold coins per session, you don't know how lucky I was to find one willing to teach for this meager amount!", said Robert, a little happy that he found someone cheap for the job.
After all, he barely made 5 silver coins a week from this job of his, the only way he got this amount of money, was because of all the dirty deeds he performed for the nobles in letting them do some, "Stuff", with the kids inside the orphanage.
That was the job that really paid him a lot. For each session, he got an average of about 30, to 50 gold coins. And this little job of his, had been happening more and more as of late.
Some nobles had even taken interest in Matthew, after they took a glance at him, especially those that could see the One Power. But, after they were told that this little boy was protected by the Fierce Lion, their expressions immediately darkened, and they tried their best to not fall on the ground.
The Fierce Lion was known as a renowned combatant of the Decartium kingdom, and was even ranked 6th in the list of the 17 strongest Pillars of the kingdom. But, what truly made him fearful, was the way he killed, and tortured his enemies.
It had gotten so bad, that during the Monster War that happened 8 years ago, one of the troops of the enemy refused to fight against him, and they ended up surrendering to him out of fear.
Such an incident made him incredibly famous between the four human kingdoms on the Rosendar continent, and even around the world. That was the reason that, as soon as Robert mentioned that Matthew was related to the Fierce Lion's son, all the nobles that had an eye on him before, immediately turned white pale.
"Thank you, mister Robert, I will try to do my best, and will hopefully become a great Magician, and, if I do become one in the future, I won't forget that you were the one that helped me reach such a statue!", said the smiling seven-year-old.
Robert felt a little odd after he heard Matthew, but he still smiled, and said, "Good! I will wake you up tomorrow, so be ready!".Wwith that, the man in normal clothes left Matthew's room, and went to who knows where.
'Hah! It's good that big brother Vin told me not to trust that guy, he even said that this guy only wants to profit from me, even though I didn't understand all of what he said correctly, I still understood, that this guy isn't doing this out of kindness, and I mean, that doesn't really matter to me!'.
'What does matter, is that I will be able to train my magic abilities from tomorrow and on, finally! And, Max has told me before, of some of the stuff that bastard Robert has made her go through, stuff that I don't want to think about! Damn him! After I become a Magician, I will imprison all these adults that work here! And, if possible, kill them!'.
'After all, if they have done something bad to Max, they did it to Jan, or Tom, and so on! All of them are rotten, and those nobles, I am starting to understand why... Dad... told me, that most of them are bastards, and that I will have a hard time in the capital city!'.
'Still, I did find the Cavias family, and well, most of them seem nice, but, I have to say, I am sure they know what's happening here, so, why aren't they doing anything to stop it? Is there another noble family that's more powerful than them, that's controlling this orphanage? Well, that's the best theory I can think of for now!'.
'Anyway, I think it's time for me to sleep already!'. With that, Matthew, the little seven-year-old, closed his eyes, and slept soundly for the rest of the night. Tomorrow morning came quickly, and the boy woke up with a hand shaking him.
He discovered that the hand belonged to the man in normal clothes, Robert. "C'mon, wake up, you have to take a bath, and wear this, the magic tutor will be here in about an hour, so c'mon!".

It seemed like Robert wanted to use more force on Matthew, but was scared of what might happen to him if he did, after all, he had been warned again yesterday by Asvin, of the consequences of hurting, or displeasing this young boy.
And he, too, knew about the Fierce Lion, and his achievements. Still, Matthew didn't give him any trouble, as he woke up immediately after that. He took a bath, in the adult's bath, and ate his breakfast quickly.
At the moment, he was wearing some new clothes, that looked like a noble's outfit. Both he, and Robert, were waiting at the entrance of the orphanage. They didn't wait for long, since the magic tutor came after they had waited for only ten minutes, he had come earlier than expected, since he was supposed to take at the very least another 20 minutes before he showed up.
This magic tutor, was a young man in his late twenties, he had green hair, which was a little unusual here, it was more known in one of the other four human kingdoms in the Rosendar continent, the kingdom of Al-Bark.
He wore adventurers clothing, and it seemed like he was in need of work at the moment, since his clothing was a little disheveled, and ragged. His face looked average, and he wore a smiling expression on it at the moment.
He approached the two of them, but suddenly stopped when he was about twenty steps from them. It seemed like he was very shocked at the moment, since his expression had changed from one of smiling, to one of complete, and utter shock.
Only after a few seconds passed, did the young man finally regain his composure, he then continued until he reached the two of them. The entire time, his eyes kept focusing on Matthew, and what was around him.
After he reached them, he didn't let Robert speak, as he said, "You didn't tell me he was this good, you only said that he was as blessed as a noble is. But this, this is a blessing that rivals the top nobles in all four kingdoms! And, to top it all off, he's only a commoner!".
"I had heard several rumors about such commoners existing, but this is the first time, I am starting to believe that, that isn't just a rumor anymore! I guess, if you really think about it, it makes quite a lot of sense, since most commoners won't ever be appraised by a real Magicians!".
Robert was very happy with all the praise, but he was also a little displeased that he hadn't had a chance to speak yet, until finally, the young Magician stopped. "Yes! You're certainly right! This boy here is the proof that we, commoners, are also born talented, just like those bastard nobles! If someone doubted the Green Mage before, now, we have this young boy!".
"Anyway! Please follow me around, I will take you to the place where you can teach him about magic, and help him improve his control over it!". The man in normal clothes, turned around, and was about to enter the orphanage, before he stopped, when he realized that the young man had completely ignored him.
Instead, the young man looked at Matthew, and said, "Hey there, little boy! My name is Micheal, what's yours?". Matthew smiled, and gave a slight bow, as he responded, "My name is Matthew, I am looking forward to learning from you, about magic!".
The young Magician, returned the little boy's smile, as he said, "Well, I am looking forward to teaching you as well, you will be my second student, and well, probably the best one I will ever have in my entire life!".
Matthew smiled again, and said, "I hope I won't disappoint you, teacher!". With that, the young Magician finally paid attention to Robert again, and walked after him, as they entered the orphanage.
Matthew followed behind the two. They reached the backyard of the orphanage, and Robert stopped, as he said, "You can take your time here, if you get hungry, or thirsty, just ask us, and we shall provide you with whatever satisfies you!".
The usual noisy backyard, was empty at the moment. It seemed like it had been cleared for the use of Matthew, and his magic tutor, Micheal. 'Hah! I guess this really means a lot to the orphanage, han?'.
With that, Robert left the two of them in the backyard, alone.
