Matthew was running at top speed toward the only stable inside the village, still, he didn't think much about that, he even completely ignored the screams, and constant crying heard around, everywhere at the moment.

He was running between houses, making himself not noticeable by others, which is why, he hasn't been attacked yet, still, he didn't care if he died at the moment, after all, his father and mother, his family, was gone now.

It's natural that Matthew couldn't understand complicated stuff, but he wasn't stupid, to not know, when his mother lied to him, bring back help? Yeah? Right! Like they would still be alive by then.

It would take about two hours, or more, to travel from Ronia village, to Coupitia city, and back. His father, Ron, was fighting a pretty strong Magician, and his mother, Jena, well, she was in a worse off position, she was fighting two Magicians at the same time.

If they were physical fighters, or weapons users, they might have a chance, but against Magicians, Matthew, whose goal was to become a great one in the future, knew, that, even his parents, wouldn't stand a chance. The best they could do, was, to give him a chance to escape, which was what has ended up happening.

His heart felt heavy, and even though he wasn't injured in the slightest, he felt immense pain strike him. Yet, he had to survive, his mother's and father's sacrifice won't be for nothing.

Matthew hated the Black Tower. In fact, one of his goals was to destroy them - Whenever he became a strong Magician - and that was before tonight, but now, his first goal, was to become strong, so that he could fulfill his second, and most important goal in life, massacre the entirety of the Black Tower.

'Who cares if they have the Dark Crow? One of supposedly the strongest beings in the entire world, I will become stronger, and kill him, he's the leader, he's the one who did this! They have killed many before, and they are killing my family and village right now! And, I don't doubt that, they will be killing more in the future!', thought Matthew as he continued running forward.

'There isn't anyone doing much against them, since people, and even the heroes like the Green Mage, are scared of the Dark Crow, but I don't care, I will massacre them, all, all of them!', Matthew didn't want to think about his family's death, since that might make him stop running, the thing that mustn't happen.

So, instead, he thought about something else, about how he would kill them all, and eradicate the Black Tower, one of the strongest powers in the continent, with a leader at the pinnacle of power in the world.

Even though he knew this was close to an impossible dream, he still made it his goal to see this dream through. He continued running forward for a while, until, he met some people on his way to the stable.

These people were, young children like him. They were his friends, as well as some others he knew. Since this was a small village, pretty much everyone knew each other here, especially since close to all their parents worked in the same ground, as Farmers.

As soon as the group of five children spotted Matthew, they all started crying more, only this time, it was out of relief, since everyone inside the village knew that this young boy was good at magic, he even learned one spell from a passing Wizard last month.

He was also considered the leader of this small gang of children, and everyone listened, and relied on him. Because, it was with Matthew's help, that, they had gotten out of countless trouble with their parents.

The oldest of the group, who was only nine years old, looked at the running Matthew, who had just stopped in front of them, as he said, "Matt! Please help us, mom, and dad, they, they...".

Matthew looked at the boy, who was two years older than him start crying, and felt tears forming around his eyes, but he quickly brushed them away forcefully, 'I can't be weak at the moment, I have to save them, that's the least I can do!', thought Matthew, as he looked at the group of five children.

He smiled, it was an obvious fake smile, but it still reassured the five before him, he then said, "Okay! Don't worry, remember, I know how to do magic, so just follow after me, and I will protect you, okay?".

The group of five nodded their heads at him heavily, as they started running after him. And so, the six young children ran as fast as they could, their destination, the only stable inside the city.

Aside from Matthew, the oldest boy, who was nine years old, could also ride on a horse. And so, the plan was to share the four between the two, and ride as fast as possible toward Coupitia city.

The one that would lead them there, was, of course, Matthew. Since the other boy didn't know the way. And in actuality, even Matthew didn't really know the way, after all, he had only been there twice, and with the memory of a seven-year-old, he barely remembered anything.

The most dangerous thing about this, wasn't that they would get lost, but that, if they didn't follow the correct way, they might end up encountering a monster, meaning, instant death.

The six of them continued running forward, until they were just around where the stable was. It was in front of them, an old, brown building, with an open front, they were looking on the right side from where they were at the moment.

Matthew stopped, and shushed them. As he observed the building carefully, he wasn't much of a physical fighter, the reason he chose to become a Magician (After the Wizard visited, he became convinced that this was the right path for him), but his father had still trained him a bit.

And so, even though he was overwhelmed with emotion currently, he still had to play it carefully, since the lives of five others depended on him. The five did as ordered, and stopped speaking, while staying behind Matthew.

He looked at the building in front of him, and saw nothing, the lights were off, and there didn't seem to be anyone close by at the moment. And so, Matthew decided that the place was safe. With that, he turned toward the group of five, and said in a low voice.

"Try to not make any noise, follow after me, and obey everything I say, I am not joking, if you don't do so, you will die!", he said so to scare them, so they wouldn't disobey him, resulting in their death. The five nodded their heads at him again, and felt like Matthew was their only choice left.

With that, the six made their way to the front of the stable, and entered in complete silence (As good as they could). Inside, they found multiple horses behind counters, some of them were awake, but others were asleep, since, it was night, and even horses slept.

Matthew went up to a white stallion, and gently brushed its hair, as he helped two little girls, one at the age of 5, and the other - the youngest of the group - only 4 years old. These two were sisters, Matthew made it a priority to leave them together.

He then mounted the white stallion with them, and started making his way toward the front of the stable, after he made sure the other three had also mounted on a horse, this was a black one instead, but that didn't matter in the least at the moment, what did, was getting out of here alive.

The two groups led the horses out of the stable gently, so to not arouse any suspicion from nearby magicians. But, unfortunately, that wasn't going to happen, not when faced with Magicians from the Black Tower.

As soon as the two horses, carrying the six children on their backs, got out of the stable, they immediately flinched, and backed up a bit, in terror. At the same moment, Matthew saw him, a person wearing, a long black coat, a member of the Black Tower.

'No! Why? Why did he have to be here? Why?', Matthew didn't understand why this was happening, he didn't know what to do, the only thing he thought of, was the spell he had learned from the Wizard that passed by their village last month.

It was a simple spell, learned by most magicians, even the ones not proficient in this type of magic, it was called, Fire Bolt. Matthew concentrated, and started to feel the invisible power floating around him, it was this power that allowed magic to exist.

He started gathering it toward him, but it was taking too much time, and his concentration didn't last much, as it was broken by the sound of laughter coming from the member of the Black Tower.

"Hahaha! Who knew you had a child prodigy like this one? I had been waiting here for a while, to kill whoever thought he could escape with a horse, and it turns out, it's a group of six children, still, I never expected to find a Magician, a young, and talented one at that!", said the man wearing a black coat.

He looked insane, like no matter what was said to him, he would just ignore it, and continue speaking his mind. And, in fact, one of the boys riding with the oldest boy, screamed, saying, "Please mister, just let us go, please!". But, the man didn't even bother giving him a look, instead, he continued focusing on Matthew.

As he said, "You're loved by the Almighty Power, a lot of it is gathering around you, hah! What were you trying to create there? A Fire Bolt is my guess, since it's one of the easiest spells to learn, but, for a young one like you, to be able to do it! Haha! You're even better than most nobles at the same age!".

The man smiled to himself, as he continued, "Good, it wasn't all for nothing, we found a new member, that even has the potential to reach the Sixth, no, probably, the Seventh Star!".

Matthew only looked at him for a brief moment, before he started gathering power around his hands again, he knew that a Fire Bolt wouldn't do much against a Magician, but still, it might be able to buy them time, so that they could escape.

But, before he could continue doing so, he stopped, as his mind was about to explode from what had just happened. He looked to the right side, as he saw, the horse, and the three children, burning to death!

Their cries were heard throughout the place, as they burned. They had been shot by another Magician, that had just arrived on the scene. He looked at the crazy person, and said, "Stop talking to them, "Kill on sight!", was our order! Let's... Oh! So this was the reason, han? A young Magician!".

He looked at Matthew, and seemed to smile, then laughed and said to the crazy speaking Magician beside him, "You truly have a good eye, if we teach him right, he even has the chance to reach the Seventh Star! Maybe, no, the Eight is too much, still, a Seventh Star member! It would be a fantastic addition to the Black Tower!".

The newly arrived member moved forward toward the dazed Matthew, that had barely returned to thinking when he felt small hands lashed on to him from behind, he then heard the crying of the two little sisters behind him, he didn't know what to do.

His close friends had died like they were nothing, and he began to understand the true strength of a Magician. Members of the Black Tower. He understood that even if he managed to create a Fire Bolt, it would still not buy them even a second.

Matthew knew in his heart, that he had just resigned to his fate, either killed, or taken to the Black Tower. 'Hah! I am sorry, mom, dad, Fred, the two Manos sisters, I am just weak, I can't do anything to these two, I am out of ideas, I have nothing else left! I guess this is it, han?', thought Matthew, as he observed the newly arrived man, walking toward him, and then having his head fly off, with blood gushing out everywhere?

'Hah? wh?...han?', Matthew couldn't think straight anymore, after all, he just saw the Magicians head fly over, like it was nothing. Not just that, a new person had just made it here, from the glimpse Matthew caught of him, he had a red sword in his hands, and wore a red vest.

He had blonde hair, and for now, that was all Matthew could make out. He just stared at this new man, as he flew toward the other Magician, who had just noticed him arriving.

But before the Mage could do anything, or even understand what had just happened. His head flew in the air as well, as his body dropped to the ground, it had ended in less than 10 seconds. This person had slain two Mages in less than 10 seconds, without them even realizing what had even happened.

Matthew could only look at him, before he passed out, he couldn't do it anymore, before his mind went to rest, he heard a gentle voice say to him, "Don't worry, I will take care of you, and your friends!". With that, Matthew lost consc
