Asterios woke up with a deep, relaxing breath. He lay in the warm bed for a little longer, just enjoying the moment. It was obvious that morning had already come, judging by the bright light slightly illuminating his eyelids. A quiet rustling captured his attention and he finally raised them open.
Right next to him, rested a beautiful, noble-looking woman with crimson-amber hair. They both lay on their sides, facing each other from quite up close. She held her slender hands between them, looking at them attentively as she rubbed her ring finger, decorated by a small, black band.
Her eyes moved up to match his when Asterios added his hand to the mix, brushing his thumb over her skin. Silvia showed a gentle smile as they kept staring at each other. After a moment, Ast’s palm wandered to her cheek and started caressing it lovingly. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the pleasant strokes, releasing a quiet breath.
Soon, she extended her arms forward and wrapped them around Ast’s chest. The charming princess pulled herself closer, bringing their bodies together in a tender hug. Asterios moved his fingers to her dazzling hair as she snuggled to him with another contented sigh. He didn’t stop his caresses, relishing in the gentle heat their bodies emanated from rubbing against each other.
“I can’t get enough of this…” Silvia whispered, embracing Asterios a bit tighter.
“You can have more anytime,” he answered and pecked the top of her head.
They remained in that position for a few more minutes, just basking in the warmth generated by their mixing energies. It didn’t bother Asterios nor Silvia that they were completely naked, with their chests, bellies, and legs pressed together. The soft, casual intimacy brought a smile to their lips.
But, both of them knew they couldn’t really waste the entire morning in bed, even though no one would most likely have anything to say about them doing so. Yet, Asterios and Silvia were quite similar in terms of their sense of responsibility for the people around or under them. Now that their thoughts were linked, they were aware of each other’s personalities even more and rose up, deciding to get out of bed at the same time.
Silvia let out a quiet yawn and stretched her arms up. Asterios observed her adorable motion and gently brushed his palm over her side, ending at her soft thigh. After she ran her gaze over his body in turn, a barely noticeable tinge of rosiness splashed her pretty cheeks.
“I still can’t believe Miria agreed to this,” Asterios said, adoring the princess’ figure.
A quiet chuckle escaped Silvia’s lips. “I was just as surprised to see her go along with Tina’s suggestion to do a little rotation for a week. But, I think she quickly understood how nice this is, having you all to herself for the night. It’s worth the wait those five days, in my humble opinion.”
“It’s definitely nice and calm.”
He brought his hand back to her cheek and Silvia brushed it against his palm. They looked each other in the eyes until Asterios leaned in. She followed the motion and their lips met in the middle, joined in an unhurried kiss. A few tiny sparkles crackled quietly over Silvia’s scarlet hair.
“It looks so mesmerizing no matter how many times I see it,” Asterios commented as they parted for a brief moment.
“It does.” Silvia nodded with a beautiful smile. “It also feels good.”
She was the one to bring their mouths together again this time, and they began exchanging tender pecks. Asterios pulled Silvia into him and kept grazing her smooth back as their lips lazily brushed together. He could feel the hot energy gathering around them as more sparks created tiny bursts over Silvia’s mesmerizing hair.
Ending their unplanned good morning kissing session, they withdrew their faces while smiling at each other. Asterios lent a hand to Silvia and helped her step off the bed alongside him. He escorted the princess to the wardrobe and helped her dress up. As she focused on fixing her gorgeous, long hair, he finished properly fastening her tough breastplate.
They had tested Silvia’s progress a few times since their first night after the huge battle a week ago. While finally connecting their bloodlines had some positive effect on her magic and general capabilities, she still wasn’t proficient enough with her aura to materialize her outfit as Asterios did.
Not like it bothered her. She hadn’t been aiming for an increase in strength when she had decided to get together with Asterios. The additional benefits were great, like the ability to converse with him and the others mentally, but that was just a bonus. All of that was overshadowed by how good she felt around Asterios, and not just because of their spiritual compatibility, which seemed to be off the charts.
After they were finished dressing up, Silvia stepped away from the mirror in the wardrobe and turned to the side. “You can come in already. There’s no need to wait until we are both clothed.”
A few dark crimson gates rose from the stone floor and a group of women walked into the chamber. Miria trotted out of her portal first, followed by Selene. Tina and Grea used their own misty entrances. Even Bryn joined everyone, coming in from her world.
The panthergirl beamed a sunny smile at the princess. “You look as beautiful as ever, Silvia. How was your night?”
Silvia nodded at her appreciatively. “Very warm and pleasant. It’s a sensation one has trouble letting go of.”
“I can fully understand you! I would love nothing more than to cuddle with Master and have him pet my ears!” Miria giggled, shooting a blushing glance at Asterios. “So, tonight we all sleep together, right?”
“According to the schedule we assumed, yes,” Tina replied, walking close to Asterios and sharing a gentle peck with him. “It’s more fun than you thought, isn’t it?”
Everyone chuckled at the sight of Miria’s head flying up and down from her enthusiastic nodding. “I was a little hesitant at first but I love it! And while one of us shares a night with Master alone, we can also sleep together in one of our homes and have a fun chat!”
“Eh, nothing beats piling up on this handsome cookie, though,” Grea joined in, crossing her arms under her chest. “Don’t tell me you don’t enjoy all those bodies rubbing into you from all sides. I bet his inner Dragon craves it.”
Asterios walked closer to her and cupped her crimson-skinned chin up with one hand.
“I have a feeling that you crave a punishment right now,” he growled into her face, causing Grea to flush a little as she bit on her lower lip.
He then chuckled and shared a kiss with the lewd researcher too. Selene patiently waited for her turn and received her morning greetings alongside Miria, both of them getting their tails fluffed and caressed.
“What’s the plan for today?” Bryn asked, observing them attentively from the sidelines.
Silvia sighed softly. “Camille should be arriving around the afternoon or shortly after. I would like to welcome her properly. She’s been taking care of me for as long as I can remember.”
“That woman who looks at Ast like she wants to put a knife in his back?” Grea mused.
“She is not a bad person. Our… relationship... might have looked quite abrupt in her eyes and it might take a moment for her to grow a bit warmer to it. She won’t do anything improper, I can assure you of that. She just cares about me a lot. I’m sorry for bringing her here but I would feel really bad leaving her in the capital after everything she’s done for me.”
Tina stepped closer to Silvia and placed a hand on her shoulder. “I don’t think anyone here minds. Grea is just trying to be funny, as usual. We know that she’s been like a sister to you, or maybe even a mother, always by your side since you both were kids.”
“Yeah. Listen to the shortie. I’m sure we’ll quickly earn her trust and become like a family in no time.” The demon lady in question smirked at the princess.
Silvia glanced over their faces with a warm smile. She met Ast’s gaze and he nodded at her with a caring expression too.
“Thank you. I appreciate it a lot.” She made a small bow but Tina hastily brought her up.
“Is there anything else on our plate?” Selene asked.
“I think Fievedem and her companions are leaving today. We should probably see them off,” Asterios answered.
“Definitely! Maybe they will say some good things about us to the queen!” Miria hugged his arm and purred adorably.
“Besides that, I don’t think so,” he continued. “The battle’s remains are fully cleared up now. Suanori even managed to save the cut-down trees with her magic so the landscape is back to normal. I’m pretty sure the project of the walls is on a good track too but we could check on it with my mom and the others. We had plenty of good rest over the past week and I think we can slowly start preparing to move into Bryn’s world.”
“I can’t wait!” Grea rubbed her hands. “No offense, Miria, Selene, your realm is beautiful too, but there’s just something incredibly exciting about living in a flying fortress!”
“I’ll prepare the best accommodations we can offer.” Bryn smiled at her. “Would you prefer a view over the city or past the edge of the ARK?”
Everyone shouted their answers at once, and since they varied quite a lot, it all became a jumbled noise. They chuckled at each other and the Valkyrie stepped in to mediate the situation.
“We can do both, of course. There should be enough space.”
“Hopefully, that doesn’t put any pressure on your housing situation,” Asterios said. “It’s not like we have to stay overnight. But, it might be fun to experience it.”
“Do not worry, Master. I won’t be kicking or relocating anyone out. A few apartments meant for the higher-ups are vacant. We have enough living space not to use them for other valkyrjas yet,” she explained.
“Well, let’s get some breakfast and take care of our current plans. We don’t know when exactly Fievedem is going to leave,” Tina suggested and everyone agreed.
Greeting Yumi who had been waiting outside to clean up the room and make the bed after the night, they walked together to the dining area. Their personal maid didn’t have a lot of work since they hadn’t made too much of a mess out of their chamber this time. Additionally, neither Asterios nor Silvia wanted to unnecessarily add to her duties and had tidied up after themselves a bit.

After enjoying the delicious meals prepared by the castle’s staff, they headed out into the town. Umbra moved ahead to check on the Adventurer’s Guild while they took their time strolling casually through the streets. Enjoying the friendly atmosphere, they paid a visit to Venuzathor, who was sunbathing in his usual spot, now a fancy, raised platform with draconic motifs. A few Lightning Elementals crawled over his sharp back and seemed to be scratching the humongous Dracodon.
Soon, the Lord of Shadows informed them that the elf party was already heading toward the edge of the town and they hastily moved there with his help to catch the escaping trio. The sight of Asterios and his friends surprised Fievedem and her escorts. Suanori, who accompanied them, didn’t seem too shocked, smiling at them softly.
“Returning home already?” Asterios asked. “I hope all of you caught some good rest after the battle.”
“We are all well-rested and full of vigor,” the white-haired elf lady replied. “Thank you for your hospitality, Lord Asterios. We’ve been treated warmly by everyone in your town. I’ll make sure to mention that in my report for the queen.”
He chuckled wryly. After Asterios had shown them his draconic form near the swirling chasm that night, they had become much more polite for some reason. Perhaps he had made a better-than-good impression on the three elves, or they were just afraid of the power he might potentially be hiding as a True Dragon.
“I hope you can keep your word,” Grea said. “We don’t want any unnecessary attention. I’m sure you can understand this much.”
Fievedem made a serious nod. “We swore an oath and we will be forced to upkeep it until given clear permission to share. Considering the entity that you are, Lord Asterios, it is not unheard of to want to lay low. With such a magnificent creature as the face of your town, though, I don’t think you risk getting exposed easily. Everyone’s eyes will be directed at the imposing Dracodon.”
“Great. Do you have everything you need for your travels?” Asterios glanced over their cloaked figures.
“That is correct. Guildmaster Suanori and the Keeper—ekhm, the smith Imadil aided our preparations. We are grateful for their help. We should be able to reach our home much quicker than before.”
“I bet Miria could bring each of you to the capital one by one while making trips both ways even faster than your group could reach it together at your highest, even boosted now pace.” Suanori laughed quietly next to them, making Fievedem curious about the panthergirl’s speed.
“We aren’t in a hurry so we’ll take our time,” the white-haired lady replied. “We appreciate the goodwill, though. Now, if there’s nothing more to discuss, we’d like to depart. We are taking the original texts found in the cavern with us, but we left exact copies in the hands of Guildmaster Suanori. No one knows when those might come useful to you.”
“Too bad we can’t chat a bit more about elven summoning arts but this much is highly welcome. Thank you.” Asterios lowered his head respectfully.
Fievedem showed him a gentle smile. “If your journeys ever take you to the Garden of Sinners, feel free to find me. I would love to exchange knowledge with someone capable of contracting so many and such unusual familiars.”
“What a grim name for a settlement,” Miria mused.
“There’s just no better translation in Common.” The elf lady shrugged. “Floral sanctuary for those seeking forgiveness in their lost ways takes way too long to spell and write.”
“That one sounds lovely but you are right, it’s too long for a name of a city,” Silvia commented.
“Thank you for the offer, Fievedem. I’ll keep it in mind. We wish you all safe travels,” Asterios added.
After exchanging farewells, the elf trio headed out, soon disappearing in the forest as the path curved to the side. Umbra’s raven shape materialized over Ast’s shoulder.
“Follow them. We could use a quick transfer point to their capital. Just don’t venture into the castle, palace, temple, or whatever is their main destination. We don’t want to seem like we are snooping around or anything,” he instructed his familiar.
~As you wish, Master,~ Umbra replied and his body began dissipating.
“Intervene if anything happens. In case they question you, just say that I wanted to make sure they get back safely,” Asterios continued for a moment longer and the fluctuations in his shadow ceased.
“Why do I feel like the second thing you mentioned was actually your first thought.” Grea grinned and pushed herself into him from the front.
Miria giggled, gluing herself to his back. “Master’s kindness never changes.”
He shook his head with a smile. “You are making me look much more selfless than I actually am.”
“Do they?” Suanori chimed in with a gentle chuckle.
After laughing together a bit, everyone walked into the town. Asterios and the girls accompanied the guildmaster back to her workplace, stopping at the guild for a moment to greet Ellie and Truvi, curious about how the two women were doing.
Their brief chat turned into a lengthy conversation and it was past afternoon already. They got a tad hungry and went to find a nice place to grab something to eat. On their way to the main square, they noticed Rudy and her team heading in the same direction. Miria quickly called out to them and the trio waited for Ast’s group to catch up.
“You are still here?” the panthergirl asked. “I thought you didn’t like remaining in one place for too long.”
Selene chuckled after it took a while for the warrior woman to respond, noticing how her gaze lingered over their angelic friend.
“What? Ah, yeah, but it’s not like that’s a rule or anything.” Rudy waved her hand, glancing to the side; her eyes still trying to find a sneaky angle on Bryn. “We decided to help out the local guild for a bit, see what quests are available, and so on. Getting yourself known in a fresh branch can have a lot of benefits in the future.”
Asterios and the others exchanged knowing glances. Douhlim’s and Tesser’s expressions were quite implicative too. Their wry smiles told a lot about their leader’s true thoughts.
“Meanwhile, I still can’t believe that… You know… You and the princess…” She gave the duo a quick glance.
“Is it really that surprising?” Silvia raised a brow at the muscular woman just a little.
“Well, when you consider that we met not that long ago right after this nobody had been kicked out of his academy, him now being an S-rank and dating the daughter of the king does sound a little… insane, doesn’t it?”
“Life is full of surprises,” Asterios commented with a smile after exchanging glances with Silvia.
“Like hell it is.” Rudy snorted. “Say, maybe you could share a few of them with me? Would I get as lucky if I rubbed myself all over you? I wouldn’t mind getting a little naked, even. Win-win, right?”
Selene’s head popped over Ast’s shoulder as she hugged him from behind and ran her hands over his chest.
“If my Lord wanted to have a woman rub herself all over him, I’m sure any of us would jump out of their clothes in a blink even right here, right now. Are you ready to go to such lengths?” She smirked at Rudy impishly.
While Tina and Miria turned red enough to rival a ripe tomato, Grea’s lips curled up in a wicked grin and she started unpinning her blue vestments. Rudy’s eyes widened to the brim as the demon woman reached under her robes and pulled down her panties in a flash.
“I’m good. Maybe another time.”
The strong lady turned on her heels and began walking away to the accompaniment of multiple chuckles. Asterios managed to grab Grea’s wrists before she flung her dress off herself, evoking a disappointed whine out of her.
Knowing that she was just acting playful, he stole the black underwear from her hands and shoved it into his spatial ring, telling Grea that it was her punishment for getting too frisky in public. For the entirety of their walk and dinner, her crimson cheeks were a shade or two darker, especially when Selene created strong gusts of spiritual wind to flip her dress up.
After they were done eating and chatting about good old times, the two groups split up and wandered in their own ways. Rudy headed to the guild while Asterios chose one of the watchtowers as their next destination. He climbed to the top with everyone and they watched the roads for any signs of Silvia’s maid reaching the town.
Since the winds were quite ferocious up there, he returned Grea her underwear, putting it on her for the owner’s immense delight. The other girls laughed openly at their demon friend’s mischievous attempts to prolong the process for as long as she could by wiggling her hips around, flashing her bare privates to Asterios and everyone else. Thankfully, they were alone on outside platforms so nothing stopped them from having some silly fun.
After about an hour, Tina spotted a carriage bearing the royal crest approaching Glimmervale. Four men in the kingdom’s armor escorted it. It was the new, improved version, made by Bryn’s people. They looked even more glamorous and respectable than before while still retaining full battle capabilities. The Valkyrie was happy to see that their creations were being appreciated.
They watched the procession for a while, then quickly headed down to greet and welcome Camille. Everyone descended to the ground through their own means. Silvia and Grea enjoyed the brief descent in Ast’s arms as he held them close and used his wings to slow the fall. In just a moment, they were all in front of the carriage.
