Chapter 31: Mini Boss battle 1.31

*RUMBLE!*

The ground shook as I watched in awe at the 16 feet high ice golem...

"It's not that big?" As I lift my spear towards the white mask in the middle of the golem... The red vertical eye in the middle of the mask seemed to look straight at me... before red pulsating lines started to grow around the ice golem.

*RUMBLE!!* RRUUMMBBLLE!!*

The golem started shaking even more along with the hill making snow fly to the air.

I bit my lower lip while looking at the ice golem growing in size to almost double the height it was before.

Lets pretend I didn't say anything... and you go back being smaller... deal?

*Rumble!*

"Waaa!" I screamed as the ice boulder hand smashed towards me. I used the celestial step to evade to my left while Weiss jumped to her right.

*Booom!* An explosion of snow and rocks... My fire!

"... you brute! Do you know how hard it's to find the perfect sticks in a forest like this!" I waved my spear towards the grimm with angry scowl on my face.

*Rumble!* My scowl turned into a dumbfounded face as the golem lifted one of his boulder legs towards the sky above me. Ready to squish me like an bug.

"Weiss! Any good ideas?!" I used the celestial step to move backwards.

As I stepped on the snow my feet only sunk little. In fact the celestial step mainly focused on light foot work. The better I was at it, the more light and faster my steps would become.

After mastering the third step I could use aura to stick on surfaces like walls or ceilings while running...

*Boooom* Another explosion of snow, but I was far enough to start to circle the golem.

"It's a Geist! I have heard of them before!" While Weiss was yelling from the other side of the golem, that was approaching me at fast pace. I heard ice spears crashing against the golem from behind it.... The grimm didn't seem to care about the spears at all!

"We need to destroy the golem to kill it!" I looked at the now over 32 feet high massive ice golem...

Next I looked at my 7 feet tall purple spear and the golem towering over me... Also swinging both of its arms at me.

"Waaa!" I yelled while running from between the golem's legs seeing Weiss using a dust crystals to summon more ice spears.

*Boom!* I hear the ground shaking behind me. Lets try how hard it is...

I slashed with the spear edge while running past the legs making a tiny scratch on the ice... Okay impossible...

I used celestial step to make some distance to the golem arriving beside Weiss.

"I want to try something... can you distract it?" I smiled at Weiss while grabbing the white gourd of sake from my pocket.

Weiss seemed to want to say something, but only nodded eventually. "Be fast, we don't know who's going to follow the sound we are making..."

I nodded and made another dash using Celestial steps arriving at the destroyed hill.

*Boom!* *Rumble!* The golem kicked a pine tree  which snapped in half dropping towards Weiss. The white haired girl however used a glyphs to increase her speed to evade it easily.

"Time to be creative... or something?" I took the black cork off and turned the white gourd upside down.

*Glu...Glu...Glu...* More and more clear liquid with fruity smell started to flow down... before going against gravity and floating up.

I watched the clear liquid ball turning bigger and bigger in air while holding the glowing purple gourd.

*Booom!* Another massive explosion of snow and trees falling. I cast a look at Weiss. Seeing the heiress moving at fast pace over the giant grimm in air. From glyph to another.

The golem was swinging its arms left and right knocking down trees one after another. Thankfully it was too slow to catch Weiss.

*Rumble!*

Soon... I watched the liquid flowing down and after about a minute I had made about thousand liters of liquid in air.

If I let the liquid flow normally it would have taken over an hour to make so much... So I speeded it up, by forcing the sake to shoot out in short intervals as the gourd refilled itself.

Next step... I made my aura flow into the sake making it over 90% alcoholic... heheh.

"Weiss I'm ready!" Weiss moved at high speed towards me making the ice grimm golem turn towards me. The white mask in the middle had its vertical red eye staring me dead into eyes.

I Waved my hand towards the approaching golem making the huge ball of alcohol fly straight towards the mask.

With grin I twirled my spear around pointing the end at the flying ball of liquid. With a *click* I turned the rotating switch on the spear. *Pam!*

A flash of red and a small flare cut through the air  flying through the mass of liquid right in front of the vertical eye mask.

"Cheers!" *BUM!* Mass of blue flames ignited and the golem stopped for second, Before starting to wave its arms around its face melting. *Rumble!*

"We have to strike it now!" Weiss yelled.

Or run away?

I used celestial step however to arrive before the rampaging golem. I could see that over half of the center of the golem had already melted as I boosted myself to dash straight towards the blackened mask.

"Ha!" I struck with a two handed trust feeling my spear sink into the softened ice boulder. *Crunch!* The boulders split in two.

I leaped backwards stepping on the pieces of the falling ice.

"Got you!!" I turned and saw weiss in air. A black ghost like silhouette tried to run away from Weiss, only to get pierced by an ice spear.

I smiled seeing the grimm's white mask split and turn into black mist.

"Nice!" I stepped towards the heiress who landed before me on a snow.

I lifted my palm to air which Weiss slapped also smiling.

"... you lied to me." Weiss stopped smiling while narrowing her eyes at me.

"Umm?" I scratched my hair feeling it was kind of wet from snow...

"You said your semblance was making flowers. You can create flammable liquid too?! Are you lying about other things to me too?" Weiss looked down hurt.

"Weiss... I just met you, so I will obviously not tell all my secrets to strangers." Weiss didn't answer looking even more sad than before.

"However..." I offered my hand to the white haired girl looking at ground. "I want to be your friend and I don't lie to my friends."

Weiss looked at my hand and at me opening and closing her mouth with conflicted expression.

I wonder Weiss has had any real friends before?

"I... would like that." Weiss said slowly, still unsure.

"Take my hand then?" I tilted my head while still smiling at the unsure girl.

As the blue eyed girl slowly took my hand I janked her toward me. "Ah?!" I wrapped my arms around the girl taking her into a embrace.

"We are friends now! So let's do our best together, okay!" I turned myself slowly left and right while holding the warm and soft girl in my arms. I hummed feeling the stiff girl slowly melt.

"...mm" I smiled warmly hearing the small sound next to my ear.

I will get you to hug me in future yourself okay!

I swear!
