Chapter 55: Vale Star Entertainment 1.55

Next morning I woke up late.

After I groggily walked to shower and went through all the other morning preparations, it was already 9:36 AM.

Mavis had texted me an address to the agency building. Now I needed only to figure out where is this 34, 12th street... such a pain.

I guess I just have to ask.

I put on a white shirt and grey open oversized hoodie, for bottom I chose white skirt.... good enough. Lastly I put the black sunglasses on. Coco is probably in the middle of lessons now. As I remembered the flirty girl and the cross necklace she chose for me I put the gacha gem under my shirt... it was now hidden in valleys... hu hu.

Where is it... In the end I had thrown the whole content of my luggage around the room until I found the cross necklace.

I walked out after putting it on.

Another day.

As I stepped out of the Vale Hotel a calm sunny day greeted me. There were not that many people which was good. I walked the street towards an black haired woman who was holding hands with a small girl.

"Excuse me?" I smiled gently to the pair of mother and daughter most likely.

"Yes, how can I help you?" The mother seemed surprised first, but smiled gently seeing me. The small girl with blue eyes and blonde hair was looking at me in wonder.

"I was given an address to this place, but I have no idea which way it is." I showed the mature woman in black cardigan and blue jeans my scroll. She looked at the scroll and narrowed her eyes a little. Before smiling again.

"I know the place it's however close to the Beacon's private landing spot, so a lot of hunter's in training spend time there." The woman didn't seem to like the place.

"Is it bad?" I couldn't help, but ask.

"Hunters are cool! I want to slay grimm too and become like Scarlet or Orla!" The blonde little girl got exited suddenly. She jumped from behind her mother to me.

Loudly yelling your ambition won't make me make you a huntress though? I smiled at the little girl while her mother had a helpless expression.

"I'm sorry. She has been getting some influence from the recent idol show." The woman sighed while patting the child with a troubled smile.

I just smiled while looking at the two.

"So it's south of here, is it near the river side or?" At my question the woman showed me the place on a map with her scroll... of course there is a map app.

"Thank you, bye bye." I smiled and waved at the mother and daughter pair.

"Bye! pretty big sis!" I smirked at the little kid before walking away.

It seems that there is some wariness towards the hunters... well can't be helped. I would be a little wary of people that could not be shot down with a single bullet and could one shot a normal person with a casual use of aura while punching...

Idol shows huh... I have not watched the entertainment while in Vale, but that single movie with Coco. Only books and a little music from radio here and there.

I had a clear goal at least now. The place I was going was near the place I landed when coming back from Atlas, right beside the river that went across the city of Vale. The river split half way of the city in a shape of Y,  making a natural barrier across the city areas.

The hotel I was currently staying at was on commercial district. between the split river was the residential district and beside it across the river was industrial district and agricultural district...There was also the upper-class district above the commercial district. I had seen the castle in upper district, but that was all.

There was a lot of places I had not gone to, for a good reason and because I had no time for such things yet.

Above the commercial district was also the forever fall forest. A red leaves were sometimes flying from air all coming from there. The amount of red trees in the city was minimal. Most of the trees being green and of varied variety. Likely planted from somewhere else.

While slowly walking and enjoying the fresh air and sunlight I bought a toast with cheese and ham. Also a juice from some fruit? It was pink in color and tasted like watermelon... weird. It was not bad.

Not too soon I saw a tall glass building, out of place on the place. The big familiar logo of star with upside down V was above the main entrance.

Vale Star Entertainment. Big golden letters with yellow glow shining from inside them.

Well it doesn't look too shabby at least?

I walked inside up the white wide stairs. The door opened automatically and I saw several people walking around. Some were carrying boxes and others equipment of some sort? There was also a guard in white suit standing beside the door. I nodded at the brown haired man as he looked at me.

I walked inside straight to the receptionist currently talking to a scroll.

"... yes Mr. Grayon, I will look into it... Yes..." The receptionist seemed a little tired even though she was still smiling. She had an wheat colored  hair in a ponytail. My gaze lowered however...

Do your best! You can do it!

I mock cheered the small white button that was desperately holding back the two white rabbits trying to run free from her white dress shirt.

"Sorry. Now how may I help you?" The woman finally stopped her scroll call and turned to me with a smile. I saw her name plate as she turned completely. 'Chloe.'

"Hey, I was told to come here by Mrs Mavis, my name is Primrose." As I said my name Chloe seemed to fall into her thoughts for a second.

"I see, just go to floor seven and then go to the first room to your right. The others are already waiting there." Chloe smiled while pointing at a elevator to my right. What others?

I nodded at the girl while sighing.

The elevator was clean and had mirrors on all walls making me able to see myself on them. A young girl with no detects at all... well I made it so of course. While waiting for the elevator to go up, I took a lollipop I had forgotten to my pocket. It was something Yatsu had given me on the bullhead. Silent giant Hu hu...

Mmm... strawberry.

*Ping*

The doors opened and I saw a floor with white walls and green plants all around. The ceiling was painted with golden stars here and there.

There seemed to be people in several rooms on the hallway if the lights coming from the door gaps were any indication.

I walked forward towards the open door on the right side of the hallway. A sound of girls speaking was already coming from the inside.

As I peeked inside several girls around my age was sitting on seats or talking to one another...

What is this?

I walked inside as several pairs of eyes turned to look at me, but chose to ignore me... uncomfortable.

Where are you Mavis? You had one job... and I hope making me uncomfortable like this was not it.
