Chapter 1: The Odd Creation – (Chapter 1)

“Do you believe in the possibility of an odd creation? If you do, then would you believe in me? Who am I? I’m an engineer. One hundred and twenty years ago, a man and woman fell in love; That man being my father, a city inventor and the woman, my mother a doctor, who came from a family of doctors. My name is Sachi Donis and I’m their odd creation.”

“Today’s date, March 9th 1887. Recently I came down with the flu but my temperature’s fine now, body remains intact and, well, I’m still alive to prove it. The last time I wrote in this book was the day my mother and father died. Since then, I’ve been living alone. Theres no one else I can go to. If I’m being honest, maybe I’ve lived too long to remember them all. After all; I’m a hybrid. When I was born, I wasn’t even alive, so my father took me from my mother and implanted an object he created within me. He called it the everlasting source. It is what keeps me alive and prevents me from aging normally. Thats why I look twenty, even doh I’m one hundred years old. One of his greatest creations, or some might call me an odd one.”

“It’s been one hundred years and I’ve made quite a name for myself, ‘the girl above the trees’, ‘the brilliant engineer’. People in the capital call me that.” “Fifty years ago, a massive plague wiped out hundreds of thousands of people within the great Cones capital, and one of their cities, Lycan Durs, the city I’m from. No one survived but me. I cannot die by a mare, plague. My body has resistance to all sickness. I believe the source is responsible.“

“This source is my life. My father gave it to me because he wanted me to live. He believed everyone deserves a chance at life and I have seen so many suffering. All I want is to give someone a chance at theirs. As long as I’m alive. No matter what it is. I vow I will find a solution, I will solve it and I will get it done, because I’m not just the daughter of a doctor or the daughter of a brilliant inventor, I’m an engineer a medical engineer and I will save lives as long as I have mines. That is a promise.“

“Woof, woof.“

“Aye Spike, what’s up with you, boy?” “Last time I heard you bark like that, we had an intruder…“

“Hi, my name is James Gill. It’s a pleasure to meet you and, yeah, I kinda sort of built a self launch machine. I’m just not good at aiming myself too well, or stopping myself, but it’s a work in progress. At least I’m alive. Hahaha, it would have sucked if I died before doing what I came here to do.“

“And what could you have come here to do THAT YOU COULD’NT USE THE LIFT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE AND JUST KNOCK ON THE FRONT DOOR?”

“I, James Gill, wish to be your apprentice. You need to teach me medical engineering. I’m already an engineer, so I just need the medical part now and none of the doctors in town want to teach me. They all say it’s too hard for a kid like me to learn and I’m too young and stuff like that. I’m 13 years old and I can already create better inventions than most of the inventors in town. No one believes in me when all I’m trying to do is help.“
