The walk to the library didn't even take three minutes. Why did it feel longer than me learning from Sect Master?

I got bombared with questions like, what is the Sect called, how many people are in it. Why is it on the Forlorn Continent. What realm are you and so on.

Even after I only snorted, surerly because I don't know the answers to the question, to respond. It didn't subdue. I was happy when we were before the gates of the pavillion. Only the middle-aged women, Par I think, didn't ask questions.

She was the only one who understood that from the buildings themself to their interior, nothing was as simple as it seemed.

"Here we are...now listen carefully....the fifth floor has scrolls of many Sage Arts. I will lead you to it, don't even think about looking or at anything at the 3th and 4th floor. You don't want to get damaged up here." I pointed at my head to make them understand.

While we walked I did go over the words Sect Master said to me and thought about why the knowledge of the higher tier cultivation arts were locked. My conclusion, it was for safety measure. Imagine living only in a 2D world and suddenly being in a 3D one.

The outcome would be brain overload. Simple put, you would become a vegetable. As for how long or forever? Who knows.

The girl, Nadia, was asking her next questiin. Luckily I could answer this one.

"What are Sage Arts? How would we know if we passed the test?" Even Par looked at me with a questionmark face this time.

"Ehem, Sage Arts are...the truth? I think, I don't know either. They aren't part of a cultivation system though. That I can tell you. As for how you would pass the test... Get the one you feel most comfortable with. Don't even try and force something or begin to learn it. A little advice." I looked at the women called Par for a moment.

"To learn a Sage Art, you don't need any cultivation level or some stupid vein. It will help you but it isn't necessary. What you need most is time. That's why..just pick one you feel comfortable with and call me. If you aren't out in the next 10 years I will come looking for you."

I saw the faces of the trio change and could hear their thoughts. 10 years?!? If they knew how long it took me to just understand the basics of the chooping wood art. They would understand why I told them not to learn it.

Luor and Nadia fidgetted a little. Was there still something? Well, they will be soon under my protection..

"Just tell me, if it isn't like those questions before I will answer."

Both young ones looked at each other before having a shade of red on them.

"Guardian Johann..we are still not in the Transformation realm. We also have family outside, 10 years is a bit.."

Hmm? What did they want? After several seconds did it click. Ohh, they still had the need of mortals. I don't think Sect Master did put something akin to a place to do that up there.

They are also still young, family eh. Ahh what should I do, Sect Master...please come back.

"The 10 years are just limit, you could be finished with the first phase of your test after a day.."  He needed to rethink his thought process with handling humans or weak cultivators. Who told him and his sister to never interreact with others. Now that he thought about it. He does remember their parents talk about some uncel of theirs?

The two young ones were happy and nodded. Who would want to be caged in a room for 10 years? That was over half their lifetime!!

Johann brought them up to the 5th floor and his mouth became agap. Where were the scrolls?! Why was this room empty except for a circle?! Sect Master?!!! Maybe it was goddess fate or luck who had mercy with Johann but Nadia said something which made him nod repeatedly.

"Ohh I read this from a novel once! Could it be one of those legendary inhertance circles? We will be teleported into another world in which we have to pass some assements to be worthy of those Sage Arts!?"

Luor was looking at Nadia with worship, this girl new some things! Par on the other hand was looking at the abrubt changes of Johann. It didn't get away from her that he almost burst down in tears.

"Yes! Just step into it and...you will see." What else could he do? When Sect Master returns he will tell him that he needed to go in seclusion to understand the Sage Art better for at least a hundred, no make it a thousand years!!

Again were the two young ones overwhelmed with joy and couldn't wait to jump into the circle. Par was slowly beginning to understand how rough it will be for them in the future with a Sect Master like that.

First was Nadia, she was only in the 7th Body Forging realm but her will was many times stronger. Luor wanted to go first but after a second of thinking did he remember something. That eccentric Sect Master..who knew what really lay behind this circle!

Nadia stepped into it and waited for several seconds...nothing happend. When 10 seconds passed began she to think that maybe it was broken, when 20 seconds passed did she think that she may be the problem.

If Elor was here he would have been dumbfounded. This circle was made by him hastily before he left. It truly was to test people but it was much more delicate. It would read memories, search for what the person has done and was happy to do. It also rushed some tiny energy elements through the body to observe which energy typ was "more" suited.

The problem with Nadia was her physic. Elor knew that she had a Divine Physic but he completely forgot to look up what kind. If he did he would have known that this would happen. Divine Core Energy Physic, as the name implied, was a physic which could be called a cheat.

Not only could one use all energy types with relatively ease but they could also form a core with them. What would be the outcome of two people in the Golden immortal realm fighting. One had only a soul core which was used to controll energies while the other had another one which boosted, cleansed and stored it too? You didn't need math to find the solution to this.

That was the problem of the array at the moment.

You are reading story Sage Sect at novel35.com

Energy, all of them. She was even already in touch with three Sage Arts! Elor made it so that only the best suited would be given out. Now that she was suited for three of them, what should the array do? The array wasn't a living sapient being but was installed with Sage Arts, what were Sage Arts? The truth, the foundation of existence. They had a live on their own.

Like the image that the two dragons saw which opend the Dragon Gate. It wasn't Elor who did it, it was the Sage Art in them which was annoyed at a little gate.

After a minute when already tears streamed down her face did three golden lights begin to shine before her.

A feeling of warmth overcame her which dried her sweeling eyes down. Luor and Johann were happy that it worked and Par was studying the golden light.  They orbited around her before slowly fusing into her. A second later did she fall unconcious.

Johann stretched out his hand and didn't let Nadia hit the floor. He made a grabing motion and she gently floated towards him. When he saw that nothing was wrong with her he sighed to himself.

"Next." He just hooed that nothing like this will happen with the next two. What did Sect Master draw on the floor? Luor gulped and wanted to step forward but was halted by Par.

"Grandma?" Why did she stop him? He was young but wverything he saw and lived through today let him more than surerly believe that this sect wasn't normal. As for them doing this to joke around with them or wanting to kill them.

That was too much even for someone with a twisted mind. The buildings looked like something divine too. He didn't know why but when he saw everything here he wanted to sit down and cultivate.

Par shaked her head "Let me go first, to see if everything is alright." If Luor knew that she just wanted to get this so called Sage art faster he would cry. Where did his doting Protector go?

Par stepped into the circle and this time it didn't even need 6 seconds before a golden light manifested itself before her. It circled once then twice. As if someone stepped on a bee it began to hum in an angry tone.

The two people still concsious were fear stricken. Meaningless if one was only in the Energy Storing realm and the other was a False Immortal. The fear came from their hearts. Par had a fearful look at first too but when she felt the vibration slowly wandering through her veins, she understood.

Second latter did Par's face became pale and she spat out a dark mess with some blood mixed in. The golden light flew towards that mass, and if one didn't know better, had a sneer on it.

The dark mass evaporated and the golden light happy flew into the her. Unlike Nadia she didn't fall unconcsious. There were two reasons for that.

First, she was once an Ascencion realm expert. Two, she only got one Sage Art. Even a King Immortal would get at least a headache from getting Sage Arts knowledge stuffed in them. If it was the complete principal and the core methods of utilization there wouldn't be many beings who could survive that.

The knowledge on got in this array was only the basic structure. It wasn't like Elor could make it so that it was the whole thing. The problem would be the before named problem and what would be a fish who knew how to fly like a bord suddenly? Nothing more than a manmade thing. Elor didn't want to have those clichée young masters in his sect.

Oar's face changed several time from happiness to sadness. She turned around and looked towards Luor before stepping outside the circle.

As if he was a starved beast did he jump into the circle full of hope. If grandma Par said it was ok he will trust her.

5 seconds later did a light appear, this time it wasn't golden though. The weirdest thing was that the light was floating before him and not entering his body.

Luor questioned himself if there was also a problem with him. Several seconds later did the light still not move. He couldn't hold back anymore and grab towards it. When his hand touched the light it began to transform into an old women with a shocked face.

"Surerly, the heavens aren't blind like me..." She scanned the room and the shock on her face didn't subdue, neither did it intensify though.

Her gaze landed on Luor before saying to him. "Boy listen, I don't know how you got into this situation. I can no longer walk the worlds. Just remember, fate isn't something which should be changed too much...I hope you do better than me with this cursed blessing."

The women vanished and the light entered Luor's body.In the next moment did his hair become grey and his eyes pure white. Par and Johann couldn't understand what was going on. Who was that? Why did his appearance change?

Luor closed his eyes and opend them again. His youthful countance was no more, he seemed more like a person soon before his death. Free from mortal pain and happiness.

"Little Luor, what is wrong with you?" Par was scared, what happend to the teenage boy before her? Luor looked at Par without emotions.

"I need some time, I can't explain. You probably wouldn't understand it anyway. Know that i am fine though. Guardian Johann, you don't need to escort me out. I will go to the ocean if somebody needs me."

Without even waiting for their answers did he leave.

Johann watched his back before gazing at Nadia beside him. At least Par was fine..right?Right?!?

Mumbling to himself once again he swore he would make go in seclusion until the end of his time.
