Johann didn't know what do expect anymore.

He was full of lifeforce after he was happy to get a name from a strong being, When he showed how good he was at chopping trees this happiness was instantly turned to pain.

He didn't know how long he was out cold but it made it somewhat better to see his sister also unconscious beside him after he woke up.

The voice of the devil was entering his ears when he woke up.

"You call that chopping trees? Why don't you just say you are a Crowned Divine! Come and look! See? You cut all lifelines except one cleanly! This wood will die and can't cultivate on its own anymore after being proceeded!"

Johann was dumbfounded after hearing the explanation. Lifeline? A tree could cultivate? Even if cut down?! Did they meet some Emperoro lunatic shortly before going insane?! The next thing he heard did strenghen his doubts, luckily what he saw next did make his eyes bulge from disbelief.

"Watch and learn! I learned to cut trees within a millenium, maybe you will only need several of them!"

The human before him walked up to a tree before gently touching the trunk. A golden light shone on his hand before everything above began to glow too and fall with a thud.

Johann was speechless. How was this cutting trees! He could even feel the lifeforce of the cut part getting stronger by the second!

"My Lord..how is this even possible? That isn't cutting! That is something in the realm of legends!"  Every being would probably have the same reaction as him. No way in hell that that was chopping trees!

"I told you that it took me one millena to understand this! No worries we have time! Also call me Sect Master. For now you have to learn how to feel the lifelines of wood! Look at the tree I cut and tell me how many it has and where they are!"

Johann's inner voice screamed at him. Make him hit you again! Be unconscious so you don't have to life this torture! A millenia? He was only three millenias old!

After several hits on his head, did his sister finally wake up. He was sure that now, he didn't have to get the punishment alone.

Johann was right with it. He was left alone for a moment while his sister got the same treatment as him too.

It was only after a month that Elor finally left them be. Something about going to cook.

"Brother..what do you think?" Jovanna was looking at Johann with some concern. Not even did he hate that human, he even began to worship him!

"Quiet sister! I think I got the hang of knowing where to look for those lifelines now!" Johann didn't see the eyes of his sister change when he talked. He was purerly absorbed in the quest he got!

"Look at you! Was I so bad to you? You are happy from chopping trees?! Let me teach you something!" Without further ado did Jovanna change back into her dragon form and lash out with her tail. What made her dumbfounded was what happend next.

Her brother looked up and made a simple gesture with his hand which instantly cut of a part of her tail! It had to be known that she was a Golden Immortal in the 8 stage! Her brother was only in the 5th of the same stage!

"H-How?!" She couldn't understand how her brother was able to cut her! Even she couldn't cut her brothers true form with all her might. He only made a simple gesture and didn't use any energy!

When Johann saw what happend did his eyes bulge to saucers. So that was how it is!

"Hahahaha thank you sister! I have to tell Sect Master that you helped me big times with understanding what lifelines are! For your information, this isn't simply cutting trees what we are learning! Feel your tail and tell me that it was cut!"

Jovanna was perplexed and forgot for a second the pain. No did she even have pain? When she observed her cut part carefully she was dumbstruck to see that she could still move it! How was this even possible?

"Brother..this is?" She couldn't help but ask him. He was the one who did it in the first place. Johann had a smug look on his face. Who told her not to listen and watch carefully!

"Hmpf! Now you know. Listen, this may look like chopping trees but it isn't! Didn't you watch what happened to the trees who were cut by Sect Master? Look at them!"

Jovanna couldn't deny that she truly didn't. When her gaze wandered to the two cut trees beside her did her mouth made an O shape.

"Their lifeforece?!" The same reaction which Johann had first after knowing what  the so called chopping woods meant for their Sect Master did go through her head.

"Yes, it isn't cutting of the wood. It is cutting something very different! I don't know how the dividing has to be done that the energy flow is made stronger but I understand what to 'cut'. So tell me sis, how can't I be happy? Cutting something, no dividing something with pure mental energy?"

Jovanna didn't know what to say, there really was a bigger meaning behind the art of chopping wood. The bad thing was that her little brother was the one to find out! She couldn't allow him to overtake her. She reattached her tail and began to inspect the chopped tree.

With that ensued a hard fought fight between the siblings who could better cut things without cutting.

After a year they had the hang of knowing the lifelines. After several more years they could not cut one of it. When Elor saw the progress he was content, maybe it will take just two millenias for them to be as provident as him.

When a hundred years passed the siblings could finally take the hardest step, not cutting the lifelines. A year later they were thought how to do it though were they called into the building, which Elor build, of the Sect Master.

They were dumbfounded by the interior. Lifelike paintings in which they even saw some of their ancestors flying around. Tables and chairs which even made them feeling opressed. But the worst part for them was the meal.

"Sect Master..why does your food shine?" Johann couldn't help but ask. He knew that the food before him was just a soup made out of some little flowers and vegtebal. So why did it shine?

Elor looked at them and made a hand gesture for them to sit. He had to ask some things. He slowly had the inkling that something wasn't right about this place.

"It shines because I made it. Be contend with that explanation. Now you will answer something. When was the last time any sapient beings came to this place?"

Jovanna and Johann did hear that it wasn't just a question for fun. His voice was like those times he beat them for not understanding the art of chopping wood!

"Sect Master, this landmass was last visited by sapient beings more than.. 200 years I believe? Why are you asking?"

When Elor heard them say this he could just slowly gnash his teeth. "And may you tell me..why? This place has enough ressources for some bigger sects, right?"

Jovanna may not understand where this was going but Johann did. He could only gulp down some saliva when he thought about something really bad. Before Jovanna could proudly answer why, did he intervene.

"Sect Master, it may have something to do with us two but mostly because the next nearest continent is about 20 days of travel away with a ship. Flying isn't something a normal cultivator can do. At least someone interested in this landmass wouldn't come himself.."

The siblings felt the place tremble for a short moment before it was quiet again. The next thing they heard made them shudder and instantly flee away to train.

"100 years... In100 years you both can somehow chop trees.. if not you will learn many things more from me!!"

"Yes Sect Master!!"
