Chapter 19: Checking Pearl's Condition

Arthur guided Lucas and Felicity inside their mansion. As the two shining faces walked towards the corridor, the servant could just leave their mouth open. They could just mesmerize while looking at them who wore unfit clothes for their faces.

Ordinary robes are simply ineffective to humble themselves. They are gold that stands out among the pebbles.

Lucas just looked at the familiar images that hit his memory. While Felicity was uninterested in the decoration of the house and just followed Lucas.

After some moments, they reached the living room, where Lucas read his first book in his first visit. It was quite nostalgic that he felt it had been a long time since he had seen the room.

Both of them took a sit by lowering their limbs. They were presented with tea that seemed to have the same aroma as the tea Lucas drank.

He felt a soothing sensation as he took a sip. However, on Felicity's side, it wasn't the same.

She crinkled her nose in disgust after taking a sip.

"What's this?" she asked out of nowhere. She couldn't to suppress her dismay.

"You don't like it?" While enjoying the tea, Lucas asked

"Please forgive me, young lady, if it doesn't suit your taste." Arthur said.

When Lucas noticed that Arthur was still bothered about how to act, he shook his hand at him.

"Don't be stiff. We are friends, and you don't have to bow down to your friends."

Arthur was dumbfounded by the outcome of the conversation. Like he didn't expect him to call a friend, he also didn't anticipate Lucas having this friendly aura around him, which was different from the last time he saw him.

Also, there is the new aura that he can feel around him. He felt the unknown vibes from him the last time, and Lucas didn't have any cultivation based on that too. However, this time, he was certain that Lucas was currently at the 3rd level of the Warrior Spirit Realm.

He was also confused if that was the real cultivation base of Lucas. Since he knew that Lucas was more powerful than he appeared. Despite the young age, Arthur was certain that Lucas was playing his own appearance and how he appeared in front of anyone.

'This must be a façade. Who knows what base he is currently on right now?' Arthur thought.

"Also, you Felicity, don't scare him like that. Look at your aura, you're exposing some of your cultivation base." Lucas pointed the pressure that is covering Felicity's body.

Felicity snapped and adjusted her eyebrow from slanted to regular.

"Good. What's the problem?" he asked.

"Well," she sighed. "I was just bothered by those scums. I still can't forgive them for what they did."

Arthur, who was in front of them, was stiffened from what he heard. What does she mean? It even agitated him more since he doesn't know how his guards offended him.

"Y-Young Lady, how did my guards offend you? If you don't mind." Arthur asked in a hesitating way.

"Well, they just looked at me with lust. If I just got my full power, they would get cursed by my mere stare, " she paused.

Then, she continued. "Much worse, I am not in a good mood with others. And who knows what they will do after looking at me? It's complicated, but I don't like how your guards acted."

It was like a bolt of lightning. Arthur felt the urge to hit his guards with his fist covered with spiritual energy.

Although Felicity's explanation was vague and uncertain, he was still certain that his guards were going to die from his rage.

'This is the worst. What have they done to them?!'"

However, there's nothing Pearl can do. She must at least follow her father's request since she became a deadweight for years for her family.

She just walked, irritated, but when she was about in front of the door, she unwillingly changed her face into a sweet one.

It was a normal anticipation for her. However, her expectations weren't met. Despite the negative thoughts, Pearl was blessed with a beautiful outcome.

When she opened the sliding door, her eyes naturally shifted to a handsome young man who was familiar with her. From the gloom, her eyes shone brightly. She didn't expect to see the young man who saved her life.

However, her eyes also turned into the beautiful lady beside the man she fantasized about. Her face frowned for no reason.

"Pearl, the young master is here to check you." Arthur said.

"Arthur said that you're doing great. You don't mind me checking you?" Lucas asked with a smile that almost melted Pearl's heart.

She immediately forgot the stinginess when she saw the beautiful lady. She sat, level with Lucas' company.

"Yes I am. Thank you once again for saving me. And I don't mind you checking me," she said with a smile, thinking that she would feel Lucas touching her fair skin.

But alas, Lucas didn't come to her side. Instead, his eyes flickered with light for a blink of a second then looked at her again.

"You are 100 percent recovered. You are amazingly healthy, Pearl." Lucas said.

Pearl felt disappointed as she felt her heart pierced with pain inside.

That was it? She was expecting more.

Since the day that Lucas fixed her condition, she can't forget his face. His beautiful carved face imprinted within her mind that if not for Lucas, she would not be living a happy life.

"A-Ah… That was quite fast. B-But, thank you."

On the other hand, Felicity was smirking at Pearl's reaction. Inside her thoughts, she was laughing at her.

'Hah! Don't think that you could enjoy my savior, bitch.'

Also, for some unknown reason, Felicity felt a victory in an invisible battle of beauties.
