After a few moments, when the crowd started to settle, the guards led Lucas to a nearby mansion. It turns out to be a mansion owned by the landlord of the city.
"What's the name of your city?" Lucas asked the guard who led him into the mansion.
"Duster City, Senior." The guard answered.
"Don't call me Senior. I have a name, and it's Lucas." He cut.
"Oh no. I can't call you by your name. Please let me call you Young Master." The guard said, afraid that he might not want to say the name of an expert.
But Lucas didn't mind it as he just nodded before following the guard.
Sometime later, they reached a room where a guest was received. He just lowered his legs before sitting down on the pillow on the ground. There is also a table only levels his abdomen after sitting in lotus form.
It was new to him, as he hadn't seen this kind of culture in his previous world. Well, not being ignorant of the cultural difference, he just didn't pay heed to it and waited for the lord to come.
A few moments later, the sliding door opened and there appeared a middle-aged man in a proper outfit.
Because of it, Lucas just looked at the difference in their outfits.
'Would they think of me as weird after seeing my outfit?' He wonders why no one has mentioned why his clothes are so different from everyone else's.
The middle-aged man bowed before greeting him. "Welcome to our humble home, Senior."
"Call me, Lucas." Lucas intervened, as he was really bothered by the term senior. It makes him feel old, too old than others, despite his youthful appearance.
At first, the man thought of his garments as strange, but when he felt the otherworldly aura around Lucas, he thought that maybe these garments were something important that he didn't mind wearing despite their weirdness.
"If you don't mind my clothes," Lucas said.
Further, into it, the man was shocked when he saw the youthful and handsome appearance Lucas had. 'So young! How did he manage to become an expert at such a young age!' He cried inwardly, feeling inferior in front of Lucas.
'And I can't feel his cultivation base! Just how talented is this young man? If he was 30 years old, my cultivation base would be a laughingstock.'
"No, I don't mind Young Master Lucas." The man said.
Then he continued, "I am called Arthur Lim, young master. And also the lord of Duster City."
Lucas just nodded before the door opened, where a servant offered them tea.
When presented, Lucas raised his eyebrow when he smelled the sweet yet soothing aroma of the tea.
"This is…" He pondered before getting the cup.
"That is Sleeping Jade Root, young master. It is a tea made from a herbal plant that soothes any fatigue when drunk." The man explained.
Lucas took a sip. "Indeed," he paused before continuing. "This is really soothing. You're lucky to have this kind of tea; it soothed my fatigue."
"Thank you for the compliment." The man said in a smile.
"So, what's the business?" Lucas asked, as he finally remembered the reason he was here.
Well, it was obvious that he could ask the lord anything from tempting. Even though he had the power to take it forcefully, he didn't bother thinking about it as he was a foreigner in this world. He still doesn't know the rules and common sense of people.
"Well… it's a selfish request, young master. I have a daughter who is ill, so I have a request if you could help us find an ingredient." The man said before he bowed down once again.
"No, don't bow. I want you to continue. What's this ingredient and what disease does your daughter have?" Lucas asked as he was curious that maybe he could help the daughter more than the man asked.
"It is paralysis, young master. Because the materials are scarce, a pill for that disease is only created once a year. And because the reason is that cultivators can't really have that kind of disease, doctors aren't interested in studying that field."
"Hmm… let me see your daughter," Lucas said, surprising the man in his tears.
"Y-Young master? But… I understand."
Despite being hesitant, the man gathered his courage to let his daughter be seen by a young man in her sleep. As it is not only rude for a young man to see a lady in her slumber, it is also embarrassing for young ladies to learn that they'll be seen by their peers in this condition.
'Forgive me, my daughter. But your recovery is more important to me.' The man cried as he led Lucas to her room.
The door opened and there, Lucas saw a lady in a stiff position, sleeping peacefully in her bed.
Lucas inspected the lady with an ability of his eyes. He gathered a specific amount of mana in his eyes to activate them, and then, after a few seconds, he finally knew the condition of the lady.
'I see. So she had a stroke.' Lucas mumbled in his mind as he recalled the condition of this lady.
He gazed back at the man before speaking. "I think I can help your daughter without even finding the ingredient."
As soon as the man heard it, his eyes were covered with the flickering colors of hope. "Do you mean it, young master?" He asked.
Lucas nods. "But I need you outside." He said.
'There's no way I will let this person know that I have a different line of power other than cultivation. If they get to know this, I just can't imagine how many people will bombard me just to discover my abilities. I still don't know the limits of their powers.' He thought.
Lucas noticed that the man made a worried face, making him sigh. He took off his robe, only leaving his undergarments on.
"Hold this for me. I don't know if that can weigh on the safety of your daughter, but that robe is as important to me as the importance of your daughter to you. That's a gift from my teacher, and it is an artifact, so be careful not to damage it." Lucas said, making the eyes of the man widen in fear.
'What a fierce aura! I can't offend him or he'll kill my daughter.' The man cried inwardly.
"I-I understand. Please forgive me for offending you." He bowed before accepting the robe.
"Don't mind it. Now I will do my job. Step out for a moment; this will only take 10 minutes." Lucas said, assuring the man.
"Yes!" The man exclaimed before leaving the room while embracing Lucas' robe carefully as if it was a fragile treasure.
Finally, after the room was filled with silence, Lucas lowered his position near the lady's bed. He put his hand on the abdomen of the lady before starting to chant a spell.
'This is a common disorder for those who have a low aptitude for magic. I don't know what the effect of this is in this world since they have different laws, but when I saw her mana circuits, it was messy. At least I only have to fix her circuit.' He mumbled in thoughts before focusing on the spell.
A small light covered the whole body of the lady. While it carries a warm sensation, it also carries a healing particle from Lucas' magic.
Some scars from her body disappeared in seconds of Lucas' spell. After a few minutes, her body started to become less stiff.
"This is enough," Lucas said before standing.
Lucas thought that it was ridiculous for this to be a difficult disease to heal. As there was a more difficult disease that he had healed in the past, he could only imagine that the medical field in this world is scarce — at least when it tackles magic.
As Lucas doesn't know that cultivators are resistant to natural disease, he can only mock the field of medicine in this world.
A few moments later, he opened the door and saw the man standing outside.
"Your daughter is okay. Maybe later, when she wakes up, she'll be able to move her body." Lucas said after he got out of the room.
The man was filled with joy when he heard Lucas' words. He handed back the robe to him and bowed once again.
"Thank you for your effort. If you have something to ask, please let me offer it to you. Anything in my power!" The man exclaimed in joy.
"It's too soon before you celebrate. I will wait until she wakes up, but before that, send me some books in the living room. Anything about the history of cultivation and common knowledge." Lucas ordered.
Even though it was confusing as to why an expert asked for books in basic cultivation, he didn't pay heed to it as it helped his daughter's suffering.
When the man heard that Lucas had finally finished healing his daughter, he couldn't feel any doubt as to when he saw Lucas' confident face.
Then, Lucas was led back to the living room and waited for the books.
When the books were presented to him, he read them quickly, even with the difference in letters. He just tried to use the blessing of an "all-knowing dragon" to read the strange text.
Surprisingly, he read it easily.
"Thank goodness that my passive abilities are working. Even the passive blessing of the "all-knowing dragon" is working," he mumbled as he read the books.
Even though, since the beginning, his passive ability to be flexible in any language was working.
