“Here we go,” Eva said as she snapped her fingers and a cloudy vortex appeared before them and swallowed them up.

They passed through a cloudy vortex that swelled them out and spat them at the other end.

On the other end Aurianna looked at the strange land her the sky was covered with dark clouds but the land was still visible. There were barely any signs of trees, water or animals.

“Where are we Eva?” Aurianna asked as she looked at her confused. She was hoping to gain a direct answer unlike things she received previously.

“This is where your training shall start,” She said, giving Aurianna a serious look. “This is a place where I kept unique beings to study them, but since I’m already done with my research after thousands of years, they can be exp if you kill them.”

Aurianna scratched her head in slight confusion at her words.

Eva sighed, “First of you have to check your stats.” Suddenly a strange white panel appeared before Aurianna, which she looked at. There was a wide array of texts and numbers on it. Aurianna squinted, trying her best to decipher everything.

“What’s all this Eva?!” Aurianna asked, slightly bothered. She felt she was using too much brain power to try and understand everything on the screen before her.

“Well we can start somewhere simple then.” Eva wasn’t completely out of patience but she was clearly bothered that she was so clueless. “Class is the type of job you can have, like a mage, sword master, berserker, blade dancer, gunner and others.”

“Huh?!” Aurianna looked at Eva with a scrunched up face. Not understanding who a berserker and the other classes were.

“... Are you sure you were a Saintess in your past life?” Eva gave her a skeptical look.

“Yes I was,” Aurianna tilted her head, not offended but close. She didn’t understand the reasons for the obvious question.

“That was your class then,” Eva said.

“Oh, so my job,” Aurianna’s eyes widened with understanding.

“That’s right,” Eva nodded.

“I understand the class now, what about the rest?” Aurianna pointed to the other things on the screen that she didn’t understand.

“This is so annoying,” Eva muttered under her breath as she took a deep breath and began her narration.

“Race is to show what type of being you are, like how in your world, you have demons, humans, elves, dwarfs and others.

Hp is to show how much health points you have. So you can survive as long as your Hp isn’t below zero.

Level is to show how strong you are in terms of all skills, the higher your Overall Level, the better your basic stats and abilities will be.

STR a short term for strength to know how strong you are in physical capabilities

VIT a short term for vitality is to show how much life energy you have

INT a short term for intelligence to show how smart you are. And with 6 intelligence, that means you’re very dumb.”

Aurianna’s eye twitched slightly at the insult but let her continue anyway.

“Magic power is to show how much magical energy you have to cast spells.

Agility is to show how fast you are.

Defense is to show how like umm, how do I explain. Like how many physical and magical hits you can take.

Charm is to show how cute or beautiful you are. And how much it affects the people around you. I guess everyone was obsessed with you because of your charm level. People with low charm levels won’t have a good impression on others, but those with high charm can often control others.

Luck is how lucky you are.” Eva chuckled, “Clearly that stat wasn’t high.”

Aurianna clenched her fists, ‘Just let her finish.’ she thought to herself, doing her best to hold back her irritation.

“Skill points are used to buy new skills for yourself. Like a higher healing spell, or magical ability boost.

Remember if something asks you to get skill don’t waste your skill points they are very important.

Quest points are the points you gain when you complete a quest and these points can be used to buy skills, weapons, knowledge, food, treasure, beast and others from the Diamond market,.” Suddenly Aurianna’s interjected, stopping Eva from continuing.

“What’s the Diamond market?” Aurianna questioned.

“Its a market you’ll be able to access once you reach level 50 and you'll be able to buy the stuff I mentioned before. It’s like a normal market. Now lemme continue.” Eva put her hand over her lips, in a shushing motion.

“Skills are abilities you have or a process to release your special power. Which in your case would be your ice magic,” Eva said and now she stopped. Seemingly being done with her huge info dump.

Despite Eva constantly taking jabs at Aurianna throughout the explanation she couldn’t help being impressed. “Wow. You’re kinda wise.” Aurianna praised.

Eva rubbed her nose smugly, “Hmph, don’t worry after 50,000 years you’ll have the same level of knowledge as me.”

“Why 50,000 years?” Aurianna shouted in shock, unable to understand why it would take so long just to gain some little knowledge.

“With your Intelligence level, you think it would be easy to comprehend my knowledge in a few years. Keep dreaming!” Eva laughed.

“Ughh,” Aurianna stuck her tongue out at Eva pouty-like.

“So what’s your level Eva?” Aurianna asked as she looked at Eva wondering what level she would say.

“Get your All seeing Eye skill before you’ll know my level,” Eva said in a cocky tone as Aurianna looked at her and grunted.

“But I wanna know, I wanna know. You said I’m your master so I wanna know,” Aurianna whined as she rolled on the ground.

“Stop acting childish and look before you,” Eva said as she pointed in front of Aurianna.

Aurianna stopped her whining, thinking to herself, ‘That was weird. I whined and rolled on the ground like a child just now! I didn’t even think about it, it was just instinct. Maybe my mind’s somewhat reverted to that of a child’s as well.’

Pushing her theories aside, she looked to where Eva pointed at.

In a strange land, Aurianna watched from afar as she could see thousands of monstrous creatures roaming, each killing each other with no hesitation, She shivered at the sight of all of them.

“You’ll be training with the rare specimens of monsters I’ve collected so far,” Eva stretched.

“What! Why should I fight though?” Aurianna shrugged as she sat down and looked at Eva with a I can’t be bothered attitude.

“Don’t you want to get stronger?” Eva asked as she looked at her with an unimpressed face.

“Eva you’ve got to be kidding me right? I never imagined training to be like this. Isn’t this too much for my body’s age?”

“If you can’t handle such weak monsters you have no right to be called a Diamond!” Eva yelled as she pinched Aurianna’s soft cheeks.

“And stop giving me those puppy dog eyes they ain’t gonna work on me since I have a higher charm than you!”

“Shit, I got busted. I definitely thought that would work,” Aurianna mumbled. Her scheme failed as soon as she implemented it.

“You’re at the bottom of the Diamond Rankings!! So this is for your own good,” Eva yelled.

“Now there are rankings?! Ah my head,” Aurianna complained as she squirmed on the ground clenching her head.

“What if I die? I just got reborn,” Aurianna sighed.

“Don’t worry, I’m here you can revive no matter how many times you die in this land,” Eva said with an assuring tone.

“This is your quest,” Eva said as she waved her hand and a screen appeared before Aurianna.

[ Quest

Defeat 50 Goiglers before you can leave the training grounds. ]

“What the heck are Goiglers?” Aurianna asked as she looked at Eva. How was she supposed to fight something she had no info on?

“You’ll know once you see it,” Eva turned away from her.

“Do your best Aurianna,” Eva said before she disappeared and Aurianna’s former nightgown turned into a light pink battle suit.

“Eva, wait!!” Aurianna yelled but before she could say another word Eva was already gone. Now, she was in this strange land, all alone.

“I’m scared,” said as she started walking ahead exploring the strange land.

“Damn it's so freaking depressing, there’s nothing cute around here,” Aurianna frowned as she rubbed her hands to warm her body. The place was surprisingly cold despite there being no visible snow or hail.

“Oh no. What is that?” Aurianna looked up, to see a strange creature with three mouths. One on its face, and the other two at its sides. It had 6 eyes around its body as it stared at her baring its viscous rows of spiky teeth. To make it more terrifying than it already was, the creature had eight legs which had long clams that seemed to have a silver glow.

Aurianna's body trembled uncontrollably as she didn’t know what to do. She was here to train but she didn’t know how to fight. During her time as a Saintess, besides the final battle with Vatium she had only provided support. She hardly ever entered combat herself, not to mention by herself.

She immediately started to dash towards the opposite direction of the beast but the beast too dashed. Following right after her.

Aurianna ran the fastest she could, panicked tears streaming down her face. ‘I hate it here. I hate it here. I hate it here!’ She started cursing in her head, ‘How could Eva leave me alone here!’

Unfortunately for Aurianna, she had stubby little kid legs so she wasn’t able to outrun the eight legged beast. Before she realized it the beast had caught up to her. It leapt on top of her, pinning her body to the ground. She tried squirming out of its grasp but it proved useless as it started biting at her. Eating some skin, peeling it off of her. She screamed as the best munched, and munched. It continued eating her till there was nothing left.

Aurianna then woke up again to see that she was still in the dark lands and the quest was the same as before.

[ You were killed by a Goigler ]

[ Defeat 50 Goiglers before you can leave the training grounds ]

“What the hell. That was a Goigler!?” Aurianna shuddered but before she could think much about it she felt a sharp pain to her left. A Goigler was right next to her and it unfortunately happened to tear off her hand. She slowly backed up in shock as the Goigler before her was at least twice her height. But as the shock was wearing off and before she could escape, another Goigler came from behind and tore her head off.

This process, happened over and over and over again and Aurianna was unable to stand the constant torture of being eaten alive. It was more gruesome than being tortured. If she had a choice between getting killed by these Goiglers and getting tortured by Paige, suprisngly she would have a harder time choosing than she’d have thought.

“Get away from me you piece of shit, I’m tired of being eaten by you!'' Aurianna yelled as she was being attacked by another Goigler. She cast Icles to hit the monster, but she could barely scratch it. She had a realization, this place, this quest, was despair.

“You disgusting shit,” Aurianna yelled as she shot out five icicles. They connected into the Goigler’s two eyes and pierced into its back. But before Aurianna could rest another Goigler shot out from behind and almost bit her head, however she was able to dodge it since she had become accustomed to their fighting tactics. They often would hide in the shadows and wait for a vulnerability or lack of defense.

As the other Goigler slide on the ground preparing to attack again, Aurianna dashed towards it as she shot an icicle, going inside it’s mouth all the way to it’s brain, killing it.

She then walked towards the Goigler which she injured earlier which was whining in pain, but she didn’t care, sending an icicle through it’s back, killing it also.

“Hah, hah, hah, serves you bastards right,” Aurianna breathed heavily. She swayed, being light headed as she felt like her body had lost all its energy and she could collapse anytime. She slumped on the ground as she laid on her back and stared at the sky.

Ding

[ You’ve received 10000 exp for killing two infant Goiglers ]

[ You have gained 3 levels ]

[ Congrats for killing a monster on your own. ]

“What’s that?” Aurianna wondered as she tried to use her hands to touch it. Once her hand reached it, the screen felt like smooth glass.

“What the hell is this?” Aurianna wondered as she got up in a straight position as she sat in a butterfly pose. The screen also changed and was right before her and read what was being displayed.

[ Nice to meet you Aurianna, I'm the system that manages all the second generation Diamonds.] A feminine voice could be heard as Aurianna listened.

[ Congratulations on learning how to fight on your own. ]

[ Seems you’re having trouble using your magic, are you willing to use your skill points to get a new skill? ]

“I really need to ask Eva about this Diamond thing,” Aurianna muttered as she was more interested in knowing what Diamonds are and who her parents were than “leveling up” or whatever.

“Hmm, but a skill...  Don’t I have to learn skills?” Aurianna asked as she looked at the screen.

[ Yes you do, but this is a little cheat. ]

“Ohh, let’s have a look at the skills then,” Aurianna said to the screen before it changed.

[    { Combat Skill categories }

| Staff, Gun, knuckles, swords, Feet, Eyes, Crystal balls, Arrows, Beads| ]

[ You can choose any of these categories which would give you a weapon and the kind of combat skill you can use. ]

Aurianna tapped her chin deep in thought, “Hmm. Choices choices.”
