Chapter 7: Sasuke’s Current Situation

(Sasuke POV)

"It's morning already."

I was awakened by the sound of the alarm, but apparently, the sun had not yet risen.

I was shocked to the core hearing his name.

"We believe that agent White has the appropriate capacity for this job. We were thinking of sending you to the Asia branch. However, since Kamish's raid, the Hunter management bureau changed plans." The deputy director explained what had happened.

'Sigh... I feel the Asian branch is better than this.' I smiled helplessly.

"So, what should I do, sir?"

"Just help him, listen, and do what Mr. Uchiha asks, like a typical secretary. agent White." Deputy Connor smiled, but I could see the sweat on his forehead.

Sasuke decided to live in a penthouse instead of a mansion, which wasn't his type.

It was a fine three-story penthouse, a gift from the government, at W 57th St, New York. The lowest floor starts from the 129th floor; in total, the penthouse has 23 rooms, 7 bedrooms, and 9 bathrooms, with an area of around 18,000 SQFT.

A guest notification sound comes from the supervisor system.

Sasuke saw from the surveillance screen that Adam White, who was carrying a large suitcase, was waiting.

"This is agent Adam." Agent Adam's voice came over the speakers.

"Wait." Sasuke pressed the button to unlock the elevator, since this was a penthouse with a private elevator.

Moments later*

"Agent Adam." Sasuke greeted his subordinates.

"Good morning, sir." Adam returned the greeting with a smile. But he was surprised.

"I was wondering, where are the maids, sir?" Adam was confused as to why Sasuke personally greeted him.

"Don't worry, I told them to leave since the aura from Kamish's fangs can be intimidating to them." Sasuke gave his reasons.

"Ahh, so that's what you mean, sir." Adam just realized Sasuke's dangerous item.

"Then follow me." Sasuke started walking, and Adam followed behind him.

In the library, Sasuke took a scroll from the bookcase.

The scroll opens with the kanji for "fang" written in the middle of the Fuinjutsu formula.

"Kai!" (Release)

Sasuke made a hand seal with one hand, his index finger and middle finger extended, and the other finger bent into the palm.

Then the residual magical energy from Kamish's fangs dispersed as Sasuke removed it from the scroll.

"Woah..." Adam was amazed by what he witnessed.

"Hurry up, put it in your suitcase." Sasuke, with a straight face, urged Adam to hurry up.

"A-Ahh yes, sir."

Adam finished stuffing Kamish's fangs into the special case to suppress the magic of magical beasts.

"Kamish's fangs will be sent to swordsmiths in Japan since you want to make a katana out of it. They say the sword will be ready in 4 months." Adam told Sasuke about sword makers in Japan.

"Fine, good job, and you can get to work."

'Finally!!' Adam is relieved.

"Thank you, sir. For the remainder, in three days you are invited to the International Guild Conference in Washington, then the next day you have a raid scheduled at the A-rank gate in Queens. So you have three days free, sir please rest well."

Adam started his job as Sasuke's secretary.

'Three days is quite a long time, perhaps I can pay more attention to magical energy.' Sasuke had a plan in his head.

"Alright, now you can go." Sasuke walked toward the stairs.

"Yes, Sir." Adam spoke with a respectful Japanese posture.
