Chapter 8: Sasuke’s Hypothesis

(General POV)

Mana

the term for an outside world that modern humans are not yet familiar with, but which humans refer to as magical energy, supernatural energy that they use to make spells, shields, or strengthen their bodies to a level above ordinary humans.

When mana began to spread in the human world, it started to evolve. In this case, the world categorizes them as "awakened human"

The "awakening" hierarchy starts with ranks E, D, C, B, A, and S.

E-rank, which is the lowest and most common among awakeners, then S-rank, which is the strongest and rarest, but they don't have the same power, despite being fellow S-ranks.

Even though E-ranks were the "weakest" it was enough to put some distance between ordinary humans and them.

Among the "awakening" some choose to work normally, and most of them become hunters.

In general, hunters are divided into combat and non-combat categories. Specifically, there are six categories.

Mage-type hunter, ranger-type hunter, tanker-type hunter, fighter-type hunter, healer-type hunter, and assassin-type hunter.

As the hunters turned out to be the only ones who could slay the magical beasts and close the gates, a multi-billion dollar global industry ended up growing around them as a result.

After Adam's agent left, Sasuke focused on researching mana, or magical energy.
