I woke up with a splitting headache. "Owie, what is going on?" Ah I shouldn't say that anymore, whatever, it bloody hurts. Ah, I shouldn't say that either anymore.

On the chair next to my bed, someone comes to life. It was Nanami who was reading a book while keeping an eye on me. "Ah princess, you are awake....".

"Shhh, quiet, Nana, I have a headache.  Sorry Nanami, it really hurts."

"I will ask the healer to do another session now!"

"No wait, it is almost gone now. Ah yes, much better now. Nana, what happened? I am all soaked in sweat. Ugh, it stinks too. Ah, and call me Greya for goddess sake."

"What? Ah yes, I will try. Eh, Greya. When I finished my introductions with Mika and the other Palace staff two days ago, I came to your bedroom to see if you needed anything. You however didn't respond to my knocking on the door. I feared something had happened, so I just came in, I hope you can forgive me for that."

"Never mind that, Nana, just continue."

"Of course princess, well please....",  seeing my death glare might have triggered her two brain cells to remember what I asked her, "..eh Greya, you should drink some water first, you must be dehydrated."

I sighed, and tried to look better, even though my headache was still there. But it was getting better.

She handed me a fresh glass of cold water, which I happily drank.

"Thanks Nana, now please continue."

"Well, when I approached you, you were crying and visibly in pain. I touched your forehead, which was extremely warm. So, I had no other choice than to alarm the staff, who in turn informed the royal family.

Your parents, sister and I waited a while in the room, but we couldn't do anything. We were afraid that you might have been poisoned.

Then the court healer came, and he was able to stabilise you. You no longer seemed in pain, but you ran a high fever. The healer said that you would recover in a few days, there was no sign of any poison, so nobody should worry. It was then that all but me left for their rooms. I promised to look after you, which of course is my duty.

Well, I did have a small argument with your sister who insisted on staying here, saying it was her duty too. I think the poor dear was still in shock, but we managed to talk her out of it.

It was difficult to be so powerless, princess, I thought you would never wake up again, and that it had to happen on my first day here in the palace....it was very difficult", then Nana starts to cry.

"Ah Nana, thank you for your hard work." I embraced her, "just let the tears fall, I am so happy you were here to help me. And so sorry for doing this to you on your very first day."

"Sniff. thank you Greya, you really are too kind for someone like me."

I released the embrace and continued "now, now, we are friends right? Friends help each other, and that is exactly what you did. Now stop acting so formal and sit next to me on the bed. Good, now tell me, are the others aware that I am up and about again?"

"No, no, you are right I should have done so immediately,"  she said while her eyes expressed panic. She then stands up and runs for the door.

"Stop Nana."

"Yes princess?"

Sigh, "I give up. Call me what you must. Just tell a guard or servant to relay the message for you, I will need you here."

"Of course princess, I will be back in a minute." Shen then closes the door, while I let my poor head fall on the bed again.

"Ouch. Why me?" Wait, can't I do healing magic myself now? Then, some images flash into my brain, as if they were memories long forgotten. I remember training sessions in healing magic, endless conversations with teachers, but none look familiar. Strange, they now are my own memories, but I know I didn't experience any of those days in reality.

I focus on both of my hands, then on the energy in my heart, and feel the energy slowly moving towards my hands. I guess I still need to practice in real life. I see my hands starting to glow softly, a good sign I remember.

Then I put my hands on my head, and the headache is gone instantly. Only a calm, relaxing, warm feeling remains. I no longer feel overheated or in pain. I looked at my hands and said "it really worked, exactly as shown in my memories, amazing. Thanks mom!"

Then I heard her reply in my mind "you are welcome sweetie, see you later."

I was startled, and looked around, but I was still alone in the room. Guess I should have expected this from a goddess. But it still is creepy though, but in a good way. I think.

My thoughts are interrupted when Mika enters the room again, but with my whole family behind her.

"May we enter dear? Mother said."

"Of course mother, all of you, come in, I feel much better now. Just don't hug..." too late, I was locked in a group hug.

"Ah, guys,  I have not bathed yet. So sorry if ...."

"Nonsense Greya," father said, "we are very pleased to see you up and about again. We were very worried, you know. You can have a bath all day long, later. Just let us be together for a minute."

"Greya dear," mother said, "we thought you were poisoned, you didn't respond..."

"Miyako, honey, she is fine now. We can talk about details later..."  But he was interrupted by Mizuki.

It was her turn to give me a big hug, and she did, "little sis, are you alright, I was so worried, what happened to you?"

"Ouch, air, air, Mizu, can't breathe.."  I whispered.

"Ah ahah," she said, "sorry, better now?"

"Yes, Mizu. Well as for what happened, I visited mother Ima yesterday evening, no that must have been two days ago or something. Well, whatever, we had this conversation about my temple duties and something happening on Mirai that I should prepare for. She then put many memories in my soul, to teach me things like magic. I must have passed out then."

Father then asks, "Did goddess Ima say more about what would happen on Mirai? Like war, or a ground shake or something?"

"Ground shake?" I asked? Then I understood, an earthquake would be called differently here.

"No, she was not specific. But I don't think we need to wait very long for whatever is happening. In the meantime, I need a day of rest. Then I will need to go to the temple, to prepare for my duties there."

Father scratches his head "duties in the temple?"

Mother then slaps his arm, and says "dear, you don't remember? Goddess Ima told us she would become her head-priestess. I can't believe you already forgot that."

"No...I didn't forget that....I just didn't think it was already time for that, you know..."

Mother rolls her eyes and sighs. "Now dear, just rest today. Take a warm bath and take care of yourself".

When you are feeling better this afternoon, maybe you and your sister could visit the palace gardens for some fresh air."

"Good idea" Mizu and I say again, then we look at each other and both start giggling.

"You two really are sisters, aren't you? Happy to see that. Now let's leave Greya, so Nanami can take care of her."

Nanami then bows, "of course your majesty."

After everyone left, I was able to relax in a warm bath. Nana then dried me off. Yes, I could do that myself, but no, I am a princess. I have to be spoiled I guess. So I try to enjoy this.

While bathing I made sure that Nana understood that I was a demi-goddess too, just in case it would come up, and I asked her to keep it a secret too. Well, by now many people already know, so it is only a matter of time before the whole world knows, but whatever. Let's just summarise that she kneeled before me, and that she went back to full-formal mode with me again. I am just happy that she calls me princess, and not goddess by now.

Until now, I didn't need to put on any underwear myself, only the dress mother prepared for me a while ago.

Let's just say I forgot to put on the new, royal, bra that was prepared for me then. Getting dressed with my eyes closed wasn't such a brilliant idea at all, still I looked presentable then.

But now, no, there is no escaping anymore. Nana is dead serious. "Greya, you really need to open your eyes, I won't harm you. It is not the first time I see a girl, so just relax."

I swallowed and thought, "but this is my first time actually seeing myself in front of a mirror after bathing..and having to put on women's underwear in front of, well another lady."

"Come here, princess."

I did as she asked and prepared for the worst. Well, I am not going to tell you how I felt in detail.

Just know that my face was as red as it could be. Especially the bra part, when she pushed my assets in their new home for the day. It was then that I leaked out a girly "eeek!"

Nana looked at me. "What is it, princess? Did you see a spider?"

"No, no, your hands were just a bit cold, it startled me."

She then tried to hide her smug smile, but I saw it in the bathroom mirror. I thought "I asked you to be less formal, not cheeky. But don't worry missy. You will suffer my sweet revenge soon enough!"

After getting fully dressed in a, I must admit, beautiful summer dress, I dismissed Nana and knocked on the connecting door to see if my big sister was there. I need to be careful when I walk in this dress, it looks so expensive that I am afraid to ruin the dress just by looking at it.

"Yes, I am coming"  I heard my sister's reply. Not sure why my face had a blush on it.

Then the door opened, and Mizu appeared in an equally beautiful dress. But while mine was white, hers was in a barely noticeable soft pink colour. I totally do not admit I was jealous at all.

She carries an umbrella, no, a parasol, and a fancy hat.

I giggled, "are you having a date or what?"

She only said "Is it too much? We are royalty after all, and you are the princess. You can't walk without some accessories, can you?"

"Well Mizu, yes I can, and yes I will. Now lose the hat."  She tossed it on the bed with a big smile. I guess she thought it was a bit much too. Maybe my mother's idea. Whatever.

The morning was spent breathing some fresh air in the gardens, even though we planned to go in the afternoon.  But I feel much better already, and still have things to do in the afternoon.

After our sisterly bonding time, we joined our parents for a mid-day meal, and discussed what happened when I was ill. Apparently I didn't miss much, only my lessons to prepare for the festival.

Then something clicked in my mind, why would I need lessons to prepare for a festival? It is only a party right?

I tried to find out more about the topic, but all my parents said was that I shouldn't worry. I was to focus on my health and temple duties now. The lessons can wait until later.

So if they can wait, why try to teach me so soon anyway? What are you up to, my dear parents?
