Melissa Qin got out of the taxi and walked straight to the entrance. She hid herself from the public's eyes by wearing a scarf over her head and huge black sunglasses. The glasses that she wore were to hide her red puffy eyes from crying the whole night and the guilt that was evident in them for all the things that she did. How could she even face people in her state? It was best to leave and be forgotten by her own country than to stay and be ridiculed.
She never thought that Daniel would really find someone to spend the rest of his life with. Because even after what she did, she truly believed that she will still be able to come back in his life. And that insane idea will remain like a thorn stuck in her heart that noone can ever remove. Quickly going to the check in counter and then into the lounge, Melissa Qin never wanted to come back to Country K again.

On a plush bed, Andrew was sitting up while leaning his back on the headboard. His firm chest was exposed and his lower body was covered with a blanket. He had been awake for a couple of hours, busying himself with the news articles that he found online. He had been out of the country for a few days and he had gotten back at almost midnight last night.
Nancy Jung called him often while he was away and asked to see him right away when he comes home. So when he landed, he went straight to her apartment. Andrew bought Nancy an upscale apartment and she had been living the life of a celebrity for several months now. She was still fast asleep beside him, her naked body covered by the thick blanket.
Andrew's jaw tightened when he discovered about the online commotion from the day before. His phone screen showed Samantha's page and the posts that she had put up. He had only been gone for a few days and this was what greeted him.
After that day in front of Trident where he met Nathan, Daniel, and Seo Joon, he had tried really hard to stay away from her and to stop thinking about her, but it wasn't easy for him at all. The expression on his face turned dark when he learned about Samantha's new status. What was he to do now that the woman that he loves was already married?
He didn't notice that Nancy stirred beside him as she woke up, and she saw the look on his face. Her brows scrunched up but she quickly changed her expression into a smiling one and reached out to touch his abdomen.
Andrew immediately closed his phone and placed it on the bedside table before he turned to face her. "You're awake?" He asked and lowered himself back on the bed.
Snuggling up closer to her man, she nodded her pretty head. "I'm hungry, babe." She pouted.
"Let's go and have brunch at Santi's." He said before he kissed her forehead.
"Okay."
"I'll go shower first." He got up from the bed and went into the bathroom.
As soon as he closed the door, Nancy quickly sat up, covering her breasts with the blanket and reached for Andrew's phone. She bit her lip as she remembered the expression on his face just awhile ago. She pressed a button on the side and the phone screen lit up, her brows furrowed when she saw that it was password protected. She hissed and placed the phone back on the table, her gut feeling was telling her that he was reading up the news about Samantha.
Nancy was secretly following and updating herself about the news articles online. In fact, she created an account and was one of the many people who commented a few hate messages on Samantha's posts. Hiding behind an alternative account to spite, Nancy sure stooped so low.
And when she read Samantha's latest post about announcing her real relationship with the CEO of Cho Corporation, Nancy just lost it.
'How could Samantha have everything? She was already born rich, she's smart, has her own company, she's famous and now she is actually the wife of Daniel Cho?!' She sneered in her head. Nancy was envious of Samantha's life. She couldn't understand how one could have everything while she was born from an average family, that she had to work hard just to get to where she is now and she still has to work hard to be on top of the entertainment circle.
While she was drowning herself with hate towards Samantha, the bathroom door opened and Andrew came out. She looked at him and thought that the man that she is with right now was also a CEO but he was still not in the same level as Daniel Cho, to top it off, she learned that he and Samantha used to date. That made her mood turn sour.
But despite all these things, she was more determined to rise up the ranks and prove to herself that she could also live life just like how Samantha lives hers. She promised to work harder, at the same time, push Andrew to attain his own achievements. She wanted all of those things to happen so that when she and Samantha meet, she wouldn't be looked down upon on.
"Nancy? Aren't you going to get ready?"
"Uh yeah, I'll go freshen up." She said as she got up.
The problem with Nancy's plans was that Samantha doesn't care about her at all. So this competition in her head was actually idiotic.

Trident
Samantha was sitting at her desk as she was browsing through some documents. She bit her lip and wiggled her bottom as she tried to sit comfortably on her chair but failed. She was feeling very sore down there because of last night.
Daniel's idea of "consummation of marriage" was such a vigorous exercise that lasted for hours and hours until the sun was about to rise. She could barely get up from the bed as her entire body was aching from head to toe yet when she opened her eyes, she saw that Daniel was already up and had just finished a shower.
How does he do that? The energy that man has, he would be the perfect candidate to endorse an energy drink, except he doesn't even need one!
Her phone beeped and she checked the message. Of course, the text message was from her husband.
Daniel: [ How's my wife? ]
Grimacing at the text that she just read, she was feeling giddy at the word 'wife' but also feeling annoyed that he asked her how she was.
After what he did to her last night, he has the nerve to ask her how she was? Not that she was at all innocent, because she loved what he did last night. She could vividly remember every little detail and every position that she enjoyed, but she was going to blame him anyway.
Sighing, she started to tap her screen as she composed her reply.
Samantha: [ She is exceptionally worn out and especially sore. ]
