With knitted brows, Oliver got out of the car and headed towards the resort's entrance. He had bruises on the parts where Daniel had shot him.
There were nickel-sized discolorations on both backs of his hands, near the nape, the ankle and although he could not see it, he was sure that his ass was bruised as he was walking quite awkwardly.
"Are you okay, man?" Louie asked as he observed his friend's current state. He wanted to laugh but at the same time, he did not want to aggravate him more.
Without looking at Louie, Oliver answered with an irritated voice, "Don't talk to me."
Louie and Chase exchanged looks and shrugged.
Oliver was feeling so sour but for the life of him, he could not blame Daniel for what he did earlier. However, this did not stop him to think of other ways to give another challenge. Oliver wanted to win at something. He wanted to win at something wherein he and Daniel can compete fairly. For most of his life, he had always been on top. He was always praised, liked and worshipped by his peers around him.
But seven years ago, Samantha turned down his invitation. And he was also grumpy after that. Now after meeting again and learning about Daniel Cho, he felt the urge to prove that he was better than him at something. His self-esteem did not want him to admit that he is second to Daniel. Thus, he started to think of other challenges that he can propose.
"What time shall we go home?" Daniel asked Samantha as they walked towards the resort.
"It's up to you… we can also stay for the night and leave early tomorrow. That way, we can rest here a little longer and you don't have to drive," she answered.
"Yeah, I guess we'll do that."
Hearing their conversation, Oliver stopped in his tracks and turned around to face them. "Don't go home yet. I have another challenge!" he declared.
The group stopped walking and looked at Oliver and Daniel facing each other. 'Is this kid serious?' they all thought. He just wouldn't give up.
Daniel chuckled as he looked down at the floor, shaking his head.
Looking back up at him, he said, "You won the basketball game and I won the paintball match. What else do you want, kid?"
"Those don't count. Let's have another match!" Oliver responded, his eyes full of determination.
Pinching the bridge of his nose, a headache was starting to creep in. Daniel was already tired and wanted to turn in but this guy wanted another competition?
Sighing, Daniel wished for it to end already, "Let's just say that we already had the third contest just now. I lost, you won. Okay?"
"But we did not have a third contest yet! Come on! Play with me!" he whined like a child asking other children to play with him.
Daniel fought the urge to roll his eyes when he remembered his own brother Liam who was just as annoying when he was a kid, "Fine! Pick a number!"
"What?" a puzzled expression showed on Oliver's face.
"I said... pick a number," Daniel replied, his voice sounded lazy.
"Okay, nine!"
Daniel nodded, "Aww… I pick eight. Too bad, I lost. Your number is higher. You win. Now we're done, okay?!" he said before he turned around and dragged Samantha away.
Oliver scratched the back of his head when he tried to understand what just happened. Something was not right with that game, how did he win so easily?
The others in the group sniggered upon hearing Daniel's retort. They knew that Daniel was also quite competitive. However, they knew that he might have had enough of this silly game already that he quickly conceded just to put an end to it. Plus, his most recent victory on the paintball match was already quite good for him.
"Hey bro! Wait up!" Oliver ran after Daniel who was walking away hastily. "What about a console game? Do you know how to play Xbox? How about Ps4? Or... or… what about Nintendo switch?" he badgered, walking after the married couple towards the elevators.

Royal Suite
After getting away from Oliver, the couple was now alone in their room.
Daniel had just finished his shower and had come out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around his waist. His hair was still wet, water dripping on his bare shoulders.
He walked towards his luggage to grab some loungewear when Samantha suddenly hugged him from behind.
"Honey, I'm still wet. Let me dry off first…" he said as he tried to unclasp Samantha's hand but she held it tightly.
"It's okay, I don't mind it… I just want to hug you like this for a while."
Daniel smiled and turned around to face her, "How did you miss me when I was with you the whole day?"
Samantha pursed her lips and shrugged, "I don't know… You were just… um… you were…" she could not bring herself to say it. For some reason, she was being shy at that moment. 'You were so hot today, okay?!' she screamed in her head and a blush appeared on her cheeks making Daniel smile widely when he imagined what was probably on her mind.
"Are you thinking about dirty thoughts, Samantha?" he teased.
She wanted to shake her head to deny it but her body was not cooperating and all she could do was swallow.
Daniel grabbed her hand and brought her to bed, "I worked very hard today and my whole body aches. What do you want to do?"
"Honey… what can I do for you?" she asked, she was truly worried that he was so tired.
A sexy smirk formed on his face as he tugged her closer. Leaning in, Daniel whispered into her ear, "Are you sure you can do what I want you to do?"
