Samantha and her father had a really long and private conversation in the study where they stayed for such a long time while Hannah and Seo Joon remained in the living room to play with Ashton.

Seo Joon was also quite mad at Hannah for keeping it a secret from him although he could not fully blame her for what happened because he knew how stubborn his sister can be. And after learning about how things went, he was actually both happy for her and Daniel.

The two of them waited for what seemed like forever until the door of the study opened and out came Samantha with red eyes who was obviously crying then.

"Dopey," was all Seo Joon could utter to comfort her sister. He thought about how it was not easy for his sister to be a filial daughter, a mother and a wife all at once.

Coming down the stairs, Samantha revealed a slight smile before she took Ashton from her brother and held him in her arms. "I need to bathe, feed and put him to sleep."

Nodding, Hannah got up from the sofa and readily assisted Samantha. The whole afternoon in the huge apartment was very quiet. The atmosphere was definitely cold after getting a word from her father. Before Mr. Kim left the apartment that same afternoon, he told Seo Joon to keep an eye on his sister. He was very disappointed about what Samantha did behind his back mainly because she could have been in danger.

What Samantha did not know after her father left was that Philip got fired and that a replacement was going to come the next day. She only knew about it after dinner when she got the chance to talk to her brother for a while.

"You understand why dad is doing this, right?" Seo Joon asked as he helped his sister wash the dishes.

Not saying anything, Samantha only nodded to reply.

"Don't be sad, Dopey. This will pass… you believe that Dan will set things straight right?"

Noticing that his sister did not respond, he turned to his left and saw that Samantha's shoulders shook and she had started to cry. For a long time, he had not seen her like this and so he had thought she was actually doing okay despite the circumstances. Who would have thought that after meeting Daniel, she became very vulnerable?

Quickly wiping the suds off his hands, he pulled her towards him and wrapped his arms around her, patting her back to comfort. "Stop crying, you look ugly."

She was feeling quite emotional about everything but because of her brother, she found it very comforting and annoying at the same time. So right after she heard her brother's attempt to make her stop, she wailed loudly and dramatically making the entire scene actually comical.

"Shut up or you'll wake up your son!" He warned and rolled his eyes at her.

She was not entirely very sad yet she was frustrated at how things were at that moment. She had already met Daniel but was again separated. If Hannah and her brother Seo Joon weren't there with her, she did not know how she would be able to handle everything. Having a baby and taking care of it, though it was very nice and pleasant, it was at the same time, tiring. And she just wished that Daniel was there with her.

Wiping her tears on her brother's shirt, she heard him complain. "Eww! You are so disgusting, wiping your snot on me. Go away!"

Samantha glared at him and slapped his arm for exaggerating but she saw the grin on his face which made her smile in return. "You'll be fine, Dopey. I gotcha." He patted her hair like she was a kid.

Later that night, Samantha tossed and turned on her bed. She had a hard time sleeping and even developed restless leg syndrome. She got out of the bed and headed to the bathroom to soak her feet in cold water for a few minutes while she stared into the wall. Afterward, she went back to bed and tried her luck in sleeping again but it was as if someone has been thinking about her that she had troubles getting the zzz's.

She had a lot of things in her mind and her thoughts had wandered off to places she had not thought of before.

Looking at the clock, she saw that it was already three in the morning. She had been daydreaming for hours and sleep still did not come by! She bit her lip and looked at the woman who was sleeping beside her. After breathing out deeply, she decided to wake her friend up.

"Hannah!"

Her best friend sat up on the bed swiftly while her heart almost flew out of her chest in fright. "What?! What?!"

Samantha felt guilty instantly when she saw her friend's confused state. Nevertheless, she still pushed through with her resolution. "I need your help with something."

Hannah glanced at the bedside clock and yawned, annoyed that Samantha woke her up while she was having a really nice dream. "At three in the morning? Good grief... I'm telling you, S. I can't help with your sexual urges. Remind me to buy you a dildo first thing tomorrow morning. You can't just wake me up because of-"

*smack!*

"Aww!" Hannah clutched her arm immediately, rubbing the part where Samantha had slapped her.

"What are you talking about? I'm not… I'm not!!! Okay!? Why would I bother you with something like that?!" Samantha was slightly embarrassed that she went beet red. She could not believe her best friend would blurt out something like that while she was being serious.

"Why not? I'm your best friend. I can help you think of ways to relieve yourself but that's it. Besides, you don't have to be embarrassed about it."

Samantha actually snickered at her friend's response. She grabbed a pillow and smacked Hannah with it. "Stop it! Seriously."

"Okay! Okay! If you're not thirsty like that, why did you wake me up, S? This better be damn good."

Samantha swallowed and the next thing that came out of her mouth made Hannah excited. "Han, I need you to help me escape."

Raising a brow, Hannah paused before she responded to her, "What do you mean escape, S? You're not exactly a prisoner… although there are similarities but-"

"Come on, Han… be serious. I want to get out of this place. I can't stand it here anymore!"

Crossing her arms, Hannah tried to humor her best friend. "Okay, if you want to 'escape' from this place. Where would you like to escape to?"

Samantha pursed her lips and there was a glint in her eyes. She still was not sure about her plan but it was all that she could think of at that moment.

...

A few days later, Samantha, Hannah, and Ashton landed on the tarmac after almost a sixteen-hour flight.

After getting off the chartered private plane, a huge smile appeared on her face making her look so radiant that even little Ashton smiled brightly upon seeing his mommy.

Seeing the handsome look on her son's face, she could not help but gush as she hugged him tightly. "Look, baby… we're back home."

Hannah shook her head before putting on her glasses.. "The things I do for you."
