Samantha looked at her brother and then her gaze shifted to the woman beside him before she gave a smile, "Oh… hi,", she walked forward to shake hands with her.

"Samantha, this is Becca Wise. She's Mr. Benjamin Wise's daughter.", he introduced.

She was surprised, Mr. Wise is one of her clients. "Oh, hello it's nice to meet you."

Becca shook her hands and smiled charmingly, "It's nice to meet you, too."

"How did you two meet?", Samantha inquired

"I met your brother during your company's anniversary almost 2 weeks ago."

She was surprised that Seo Joon had actually met someone from that night and is now dating her?

Samantha nodded, she remembered Hannah, "This my best friend Hannah.", she turned her head towards her best friend looking a bit worried. 'I'm so sorry, Han.'

Hannah put on a brave face and smiled as if she was looking at someone who didn't just pierce a needle through her heart. "Hello."

"What are you guys doing here?", Seo Joon asked. He was very casual and didn't seem like he was embarrassed that his sister and Hannah caught him kissing Becca.

"Ah, we were in the area and thought that we should have an early dinner together.", Samantha replied.

Seo Joon and Becca looked at each other before he turned to his sister again, "Sorry, Dopey, we already made plans tonight. Rain check?"

"Why don't you go with your sister and we can have dinner tomorrow instead?", Becca suggested, she didn't really feel that it was a big deal to change their schedule; especially that it was for his sister.

Samantha quickly shook her hands, "Oh no, please don't do that. Go ahead with your plans. I was the one who suddenly showed up. It's okay.", she assured and gave a polite smile. How could she ruin other's plans, right? She turned to her brother, "We'll go ahead then. Bye Joon."

"I'll call you later, Dopey.", he waved. Seo Joon took one last brief look at Hannah and then faced Becca again, "So, what did you want to eat?"

Outside Seo Joon's office, Samantha was very cautious about her best friend's feelings. She didn't know what to do, 'Stupid Joon.', she cursed at her brother inwardly. But can she really blame him entirely? Becca did look really nice.

They reached the elevator without talking to each other. 'Damn it. This is the first time that I feel awkward with Hannah.', she thought.

Once they got in, Samantha couldn't take it anymore, she wanted to speak. "Han, I'm sorry about that. Are you okay?"

Hannah smiled before she turned to look at Samantha, her face looked happy but Samantha knew that she wasn't at all okay. "Don't be sorry. Yes, I'm okay. I told you that he was already seeing someone, now do you believe me?"

Samantha bit her lip, now she feels guilty. She was the one who pushed her best friend to confess to her brother. 'What the fudge, Sam!', "I should've known better. I really suck as a friend, huh?"

Hannah chuckled, they had reached the ground floor and were already walking towards the exit. "S, I remembered that I still have some papers to work on the café. You go ahead, I'll just catch a cab."

"Why would you take a cab? I'll drive you back!", she insisted.

"Aren't you going to Daniel? The café is not on the way to his office. I'm fine don't worry about me, I'm a big girl.", Hannah flashed a smile.

Samantha knew that she wanted to be alone so there was nothing else that she could do but just let her, she gave Samantha a tight squeeze before she pulled away. "You have to call me later, okay?"

Hannah nodded and then hailed a taxi.

When she was no longer in sight, Samantha sighed and looked up to the tall building like she was trying to talk to his brother.

CEO's room, Cho Corporation

As usual, Samantha was escorted until she reached the top floor of Cho Corp's HQ. She was greeted by the secretary and then she entered Daniel's office.

As soon as she got inside, she sadly said her greeting, "Hi-", with her head down, she just sat on the couch without even looking at Daniel. She was looking very dejected.

Daniel raised his head when he heard his door open and was greeted by Samantha's lonely face, 'What is wrong with her now?', he was surprised by her chapfallen expression.

"Who bullied you?", he probed as he stood up from his desk and walked towards the heavyhearted woman on the couch.

She didn't respond, instead, she just sighed.

Daniel sat beside her and chuckled, "This is the first time that I'm seeing you like this.", he had already seen her in her most sorrowful state but this isn't something like that. Her sadness wasn't about something extremely serious yet she looked like she just lost a lollipop.

Samantha glared at him, she bit her lip and made a frown face, it made Daniel laugh even more. He stroked her head, "Tell me what happened to you and I'll buy you ice cream."

She furrowed her brows and made a sour expression, "What am I? Five?"

He grinned. Lifting her chin up, he kissed her lips, "Now tell me, who bullied my wife?"

Samantha pulled back, "I didn't say yes to your proposal. Why do you keep calling me your wife?"

"Well, you didn't say no either, so…", he answered as-a-matter-of-factly with his hands raised.

She indeed didn't give him an answer. It's not like she didn't want to be with him, it's just that she didn't think she was ready to get married just yet. There were still tons of things that she needed and wanted to do and she still has to fix her life at the moment. She wanted to marry him when she's a whole person.

Samantha pursed her lips and then pounced on Daniel's chest, "Hun, I think I caused Hannah's broken heart…", she sighed once again.

Daniel was surprised with her sudden action but this is the first time that Samantha shared her problems regarding things like these, this is what he wanted, it doesn't matter if it's a minor thing; this is what he wanted from her. Samantha continued to tell Daniel about what happened earlier today, now he understood what made her feel down.

"You must feel awful. But that's okay, I would feel bad if it was me too. Though, it's not really your fault. You had good intentions. But maybe just think of this as a lesson for you, don't get involved in other people's problems so much. It's fine to give advice but it will be their decision anyway.", Daniel Cho hugged her tightly as if he was trying to absorb her bad energy; if only that was possible.

"Maybe your brother really likes this woman, you can't be biased just because Hannah's your best friend. Joon's your brother too, doesn't his happiness also matter?", he added.

"I hate that you're always right.", she buried her face to his chest, "Does your ice cream offer still stand?"
