It's been three days since Serina woke up as a wolf. She has not transformed back to her human form yet and they couldn't find any mental link of hers to communicate. They could only talk and could only see the wolf.

Her eyes were red and, on her forehead, there was a red-colored rune which they didn't know of. They have never seen it from any other werewolves. What was more surprising was the very small dragon tattoo or imprint in her iris.

"When do you think will Rina come out?" Nicholas asked the wolf once again. He had been asking this very same question every morning. He wanted to see her. He wanted to apologize to her. He just wanted to see her again but he couldn't.

Ayla licked Nicholas' face and neck before settling her head on his lap. She was closer to Nicholas compared to other people in the house. She recognized her family but she spent most of her times with Nicholas. And because she was clingy to him, Nicholas had to stay inside the house all the time with her. It would be disastrous if people find out that they have a wolf inside their home.

'Serina is quite in pain from what happened. I'm not sure if she remembers the whole event but she refuses to come out because of that. Just keep talking to her like you normally do.' Ayla told Nicholas with her eyes closed.

Three days ago,

Irene and Michael barged inside their daughter's room and found a wolf on her bed instead of their daughter. Nicholas was sitting on the wolf's side, observing her it for several times, wanting to make sure that this wolf was still Serina. He tried communicating with the wolf and that stirred the huge animal from her sleep.

When she opened her eyes, it felt like he was staring into a vampire's eyes. The color of her eyes was deep red, very uncommon compared to wolves with blue, brown and black eyes. On top of that, there was this crest-like tattoo on her forehead.

'Kiro.' This was the first word that the wolf whispered in his mind. Kiro resurfaced and nuzzled the wolf slowly. The sight of his wolf form brought light into her eyes and she leapt off the bed, jumped towards Kiro's side and snuggled close to him. 'Kiro.'

'So, you are the wolf. You are my mate.'

'Hn. Brittislava stopped me from coming out because she needed to prepare me and Rina.'

'Who's that?'

'Who's who? Ah! Brittislava? She's the dragon princess residing within Rina along with me. Her power was really strong and she was suppressing me. At the same time, she was transferring some of her energy to me because I am an incomplete form.'

'Incomplete? What do you mean incomplete?' Kiro turned to Irene and Michael but the two of them were just standing there, waiting for the wolf to give her attention to them. Not disappointing them, the wolf turned her head and stared straight into Irene's eyes. Worried that she'd do something to her own mother, Michael blocked her line of sight.

'You hid the truth from Serina.' The wolf stated calmly through their shared mind link. Nicholas and Kiro was able to hear these words as well. 'She felt betrayed. If she had known, things wouldn't have turned this way. She thought that she could have prevented the tragedy from happening.'

"She knew?" Irene asked loudly even though there's no need for her to do so.

'Before she lost consciousness, she saw me in her. She heard my voice. I spoke to her. And she regretted denying Nicholas' opinion when it counted the most. Anyway, she won't be coming out for a while.'

'Wait!' Michael spoke and even took a step forward to reach out to the white wolf in front of him. "Until when is she planning to hide?"

'I'm not sure. She's no longer communicating with me.'

"So, does she remember what happened at the Vallardi mansion?" Nicholas asked the thing he was most afraid of.

'I don't really know. She has blocked her mind from any intruder and that includes me. I thought I can just come in and out of her mind since we are one entity but she's not allowing that to happen. You will have to wait for her and endure the time you'd have to spend with me."

"No. Not at all. I'm glad you've come out." Nicholas answered even though he really wanted to see Serina to be in front of him.

Because she was still recovering, Irene prepared a lot of food for Ayla to eat. Even when she was eating, she chose to snuggle with Kiro's form. Nicholas had no choice but to retreat and give Kiro the chance to mingle with Serina's wolf.

After three hours, Ayla decided to rest again.

The moment she went back to sleep, Nicholas decided to confront Irene and Michael about the secret of Serina's birth. He got some things in mind but he wasn't sure if they were accurate which was why he needed to talk to them and find closure to his own doubts.

"I am a product of an experiment." Irene stated. The three of them were talking in the living room with a sound barrier surrounding them to prevent anyone from eavesdropping. "As far as I remember, I was really a human back then. It happened hundreds of years ago but I clearly remember the huge hospital situated in the forest of Mingla. The scientists have captured a lot of humans as well as animals. They were doing this type of DNA engineering that allows human to have the abilities of the animals. They believed that they'd be able to create a strong specie."

"Natalya is also from that hospital, right?"

"How did you know?"

Nicholas recalled the incident when Irene and Michael went to Paris in order to process the adoption papers for Corrine, Sylvie and Peter. "You recognized Natalya when the two of you met. Serina didn't notice anything wrong but I sensed the energy between you two."

"When the hospital got raided, the doctors tried to kill their subjects of experiments before fleeing off to some unknown place. I escaped from my cell room and found a child. She was very small. She was an infant. She was a result of the forced mating between a leopard and a human. The leopard died as well as the woman after she gave birth. I didn't know if she was affected by the genetics but I know I needed to save her. I randomly dropped her off to an orphanage. I never expected I'd be meeting her again after so many years through my daughter."

"So, Ayla is incomplete because she's a product of someone with unnatural genetics?"

"Probably. I am not really sure." Irene answered. All this while, Michael was silent as he listened to his wife and Nicholas talk. He didn't want to interrupt their conversation knowing how crucial these things were to figure out their daughter's condition.

Since then, Nicholas has spent his time talking to Serina through Ayla. The wolf was also trying her best to get into Serina but it was futile. They will have to wait until she's ready to face the reality on her own.

Serina has stopped going to school and her parents decided to drop her off indefinitely. She can't go back to school with her current situation and there's no guarantee as to when she'd go back to normal. And if she successfully returns back to them in human form, there's also a chance that she might not remember anything. There were just too many risks. And they were left with no other choice but to drop her study for now.

Her teachers were sad with the sudden decision coming from her parents but they could understand them. Although it was a waste to lose a student like her, they couldn't force it as well.

"Is she really not coming back anymore?" Lambert asked Nicholas over the phone.

"We don't know when she'd wake up so, her parents took precautionary measures. Anyway, the university won't walk away. She can go back whenever she wants."

"So, I'd be all alone now."

"Kind of." Nicholas answered truthfully. "She won't be around you anymore so, take care of yourself. She really admires how hardworking and determined you are to become a great person. I'm sure, she's looking forward to see your achievements. I hope you won't disappoint her."

"Hn. One day, she'd see me on a billboard as one of the highest paid models. I will make sure to work hard and pay her back for everything she has done for me."

The news of Serina dropping out of school spread really fast and many female students took this opportunity to get close to Lambert. Now that there's no Serina who will be stopping them and taking Lambert's time, they felt that they'd be able to win him over.

Unfortunately, things don't go their way. Since Serina is no longer with him, Lambert dedicated his time to his studies and work. And not many people knew that he's working as a model yet because the magazine which will publish his pictures hasn't released them. They were still working on how they can gain the attention of their readers.

Right after calling Lambert, Nicholas called the person responsible for featuring Lambert in T magazine. Since Serina started it, as her mate, he wanted to make sure that things will go according to her wishes.

'Rina.. I hope you'd come back to me soon.'
