"I won't be seeing you off because of my exam. But you guys be careful always and I love you so much." Serina stated on the phone, making a last minute phone call before she goes to her classroom for the examination.

"Take care of yourself, too." Irene replied. "And, Rina, can you please lessen the time you spend with Nicholas?" Serina stopped on her track, not knowing how to respond to her mother's request. "I'm just worried that you'd be distracted from your studies. Of course, you are big enough to know what's right and wrong. So, I'll leave it for you to decide. Just know that no matter what happens, me and your dad will always have your back. We may not have lots of relatives but the three of us can definitely win against the whole world."

"Mom, what are you talking about? It seems to me that you are hiding something. Also, I know that you are concern with the status of my heart but don't worry, I can perfectly handle my emotions now."

Michael didn't join the conversation because his wife already said what he wanted. Besides, he already talked to his daughter before she went back to school last night.

Today, Sylvie and Peter will go back home to the Wentworth's family residence. Corrine wanted to go back with them as well but she decided to look for work near Serina's school instead. In that way, she can look after her while earning funds for Sylvie and Peter. She didn't want to rely on the Wentworth family for finance as well. They have done so much for them already.

Even though Nicholas didn't get any relevant information when he charmed Natalya, he knew that Irene was keeping something. He guessed she was a werewolf and if he guessed it right, Serina would be really powerful.

'Will I ever be enough for her?' Nicholas couldn't help but ask himself. He didn't know how much power Serina holds but if the grand elder said she was far stronger than him then, it should be the truth.

Since Serina was having an exam, she focused herself on it. She told Nicholas the day before because she wouldn't have the time to meet him until the exam is over. At first, it was fine. She was able to finish her exam fifteen minutes before the end time. She knew she got most of the answers right and she was confident she got above ninety percent of it.

On the second day, she was able to focus on some subjects but from time to time, he mind would wander back to Nicholas. She even talked to Kiro through their mind link because she kept thinking about the man. In the end, she didn't finish the last subject on time. She missed five items.

"What's going on? I felt empty. I kept thinking about him even though we met few days ago." Serina muttered with her hands covering her face. She was complaining to Lambert once again. Even though Lambert was a man, she didn't shy away with her emotions in front of him. He didn't judge her or say anything that could hurt her. He would just sit there, listen to her talk and give her advice after.

Why did she know? Because she had been reading his mind. Unlike him, the other students often say nice things in front of her but when she turns her back, they'd say awful things. They just didn't know that she could hear everything.

Lambert put down the book he was reading and gently pat Serina's head. "There. There. It's not wrong to think of him sometimes. I think he's been thinking about you, too. Why don't you give him a call? You won't really lose anything with a call. It might even calm your mind."

"No way. I won't ever call him first. I'd lose my pride."

Lambert raised his eyebrow and removed his spectacles to pinch the bridge of his nose. It was the first he did that and that caused lots of students to drop their jaw.

Even Serina who raised her head to look at him was stunned, too.

"What?" Lambert questioned as he put back his glasses. "Just so you know, your pride won't help you with your exam. Either you call him or just let your emotions mess with you." He spoke a lot but he noticed that Serina wasn't listening to him anymore. She was staring at him as if she was scrutinizing his face. "Stop looking at me. You are making me uncomfortable."

"Wait." She leaned closer and pulled his glasses from his face, messed his hair a little and stretched the side of his mouth to smile. "Oh my, oh my, my...I didn't know you are so handsome behind this eyeglass."

"I can't see anything for goodness sake." Lambert mumbled.

"Sorry." Serina returned his glasses and smiled at him. "Why don't you wear contact lenses?"

"I don't like to. Simple as that." Lambert answered as he took out his phone and sent Nicholas a message. They will have another exam tomorrow, the last one, but if Serina couldn't focus, he was worried she'd fail.

As they continued to talk, the school forum was bombarded with messages and posts. In all of these recent posts, Lambert's face could be seen.

'Brittislava, I never asked this question before but, since I can lift curses and heal some wounds, does that mean I can make someone see the world as well?'

'Are you planning to cure his eyes? I haven't tried that yet but I think we can.'

Lambert didn't know that while he was helping Serina, she was also thinking of a way to help him.

Nicholas received the message from Lambert and he was weighing the pros and cons. Serina told him not to call her because she wanted to focus on her studies. Now, Lambert was telling him to call Serina because she was distracted with the thought of him. He didn't know if he should laugh or cry at this point. He wasn't even doing anything yet, he was blamed for her distractions.

Nicholas paced back and forth in his room. He was already typing her number but he stopped in the middle. "If she get's mad, she might not allow me to see her again."

'She won't be mad. Think of something that could make her happy. Something that wouldn't make her blame you even if you broke your promise of not calling her.' Kiro encouraged because he knew what Serina was thinking. She just needed a little push and a little coaxing from Nicholas.

Serina was moping on the desk while drawing her dragon on her notebook. She didn't like to study for the exam anymore.

"You will fail if this continue. I didn't you could be this foolish." Lambert commented while writing some formulas on his notes. "Keep going and I'll snatch the first place from you."

"I knew it. Men can make someone stupid."

"Women can make someone stupid, too."

Serina rolled her eyes and knocked her head with her pen. Lambert had a point whether she agreed or not.

She was just about sigh when her phone buzzed on the table. The vibration made Lambert look towards the mobile phone and upon seeing Nicholas' name on it, he just smiled.

Lambert wa smiling but Serina was grinning from ear to ear when she saw the name. It was obvious that she was very happy with what happened.

"Thanks." She told Lambert and stood up from her seat. On the message, Liam was asking her when was the good time to call her because he has some good news. And with her current state of mind, she didn't remember the ultimatum she gave him few days ago.

Lambert was shaking his head while watching Serina leave the library. She was so easy to please and she's reliable, too. Though sometimes, her emotions would really flip her mood. It's natural and Lambert understood that because he has an autistic sister. He learned how to read people based on their facial expressions and body gestures. And Serina, she's probably the easiest person he met in his life. At the same time, the mysterious classmate as well. He didn't know why but he just felt she has lots of secrets than any normal people have.

Serina went outside and leaned on the railings. It was a little rusty but because it was painted, you wouldn't really notice the rust which was eating away the metal. She waited for Nicholas to call, holding her phone tightly, afraid that she'd loosen her hold.

"Hey." She said the moment she answered it. She tried to keep her calm even though her heart was beating the crap out of her chest. "What's the good news that you wanted to tell me?"

Nicholas was sitting on the couch with his laptop in front of him. On the screen was a video showing a new wolf pup that Yiran captured with her phone. His sister really saved him during the most crucial time. "Yiran sent me a video few minutes ago."

"Your sister? What was the video all about? And what does that have to do with me?"

"Well, Kylo, Hunter and Sierra will have a new playmate. One of the wolves gave birth to little pups this morning. There were three of them but the other two were very weak so Yiran didn't take photos and videos of them." Nicholas talked and talked, describing to her the wolf that Yiran sent. He thought she wasn't listening because she was silent the whole time but, when the moment he stopped talking, she said something that stunned him.

"Once the exam is over, I don't care about the result but you have to take me home so I can see the wolves. You can't just describe it to me.. My heart won't take it."
