'Knock! Knock! Knock!'

Serina opened the door to her room and found Lambert standing outside looking a little worried and excited at the same time. "I want to see the world without glasses. I'm willing to go with you to meet that woman."

"You won't meet her."

"Why?"

"Didn't I say that you'd be killed if you see her face. You won't see her but she will still be able to perform her work. Wait for a moment." Serina walked back inside the room, not even inviting Lambert to come inside because there were new installed CCTV around campus that monitors the students. And men were prohibited to come inside the women's quarter. "Drink this." She handed him a small bottle and watched him open the cap. "Drink all of it and go back to your room. Lock your door properly."

"How will we go?"

"Just do as I say. Stop asking questions. Just put your trust in me. I will not let you fall in the hands of any harmful people."

"Alright. I'll do as you say." Lambert drank the contents of the bottle and his face crunched up because of the bitter-sweet taste of it. "What is this? It tastes horrible."

"Tsk! You are nagging me with questions. Just go back to your room already."

"O-okay." Lambert ran back to his room and when he got inside he locked the door. He stood there in the middle of his room, waiting for anything or anyone that would come out of nowhere but his room was very silent that he could only hear his voice. "She didn't lie to me, right?" Lambert questioned himself and walked to his bed. He suddenly felt dizzy and sleepy at the same time. He wanted to stay awake but his eyelids refused him. In the end, he succumbed to a deep slumber because of the herbal drug that Serina made for him.

In the middle of his room, a huge circle appeared and from it, Alina and Serina came out. "That's him." Serina stated. The two of them walked towards Lambert's bed and sat beside him. "Can you lend me a little bit of your energy. I don't want to draw energy from nature in case there are vampires or werewolves nearby."

"I'll help you. Is this person really important to you?"

"Hn. He's like a brother to me and I don't want him to lose his sight and depend on his eye glass. Also, he didn't mention it to me but I know he has an autistic sister. I know it's wrong of me but I pried on his thoughts several times. He's studying hard because he wanted to find a good job in the future. He wanted to help his family and especially his sister that needs special care."

"I see. You are very compassionate to your friends. That's a good trait but I hope you won't be used for selfish gains."

"Don't worry Elder Alina, I know how to choose the people I can be friends with."

Serina lighted up several candles around her and crushed some herbs on it to change the scent of the room. They're all healing herbs that once you'd inhale them, any damaged tissues inside your body will be slowly healed. She hovered her hands over Lambert's eyes and summoned enough energy to check his head. She read a lot about human anatomy and she always pay attention to details when it comes to body parts. She didn't want to make a mistake and cause more problems instead of curing her patient. Although, Lambert was the first human she was healing with her energy.

"Just slowly inject your healing energy in his eyes. It will repair the damage inside him and will replenish the dead cells." Alina stated as a guide.

Serina was about to retract her hand to rest a little when she noticed something that stunned her. "There's a curse in him."

"Ha? How can that be?"

"I don't know. It's faint but I saw it. It was wound around several nerves that connect to his retina and pupil."

"This would probably take us a little time. Just draw energy from me."

"Okay." Serina worked on the curse and slowly unraveled it from the nerves. The curse was very small but it was really the cause of Lambert's gradual lose of sight. She remembered that he wasn't wearing any eye glasses during first year high school. It only started when they turned second year and every year, the thickness of his glasses increased. "I'm almost done." Serina muttered. Her sweat was dotting her forehead and some of them fell on her shirt. She didn't care. She felt so tired but she didn't stop. "Just a little bit more." Serina continued to heal him and after half an hour, she finally stopped and breathed in relief. "All we need to do is wait for him to wake up and find out if he's better. Thank you for helping me."

"No problem. Your sacrifices are greater than mine." Alina answered but what she meant was another thing. It was something that was bound to happen in the future. "Let's go back before the medicine runs out of effectiveness." Alina waved her hand a huge circle of light appeared once again. Both of them got inside it and when it closed, they arrived in Serina's room.

"I'll take a rest to recover my energy." Serina mentioned and laid on her bed.

"I'll go back to the village. Also, whatever you are doing with Damon, please be very careful."

"Yes."

When Lambert walk up, it was already dark outside. His room was dark, too but to his surprise he can see everything clearly. He could see his backpack sitting on his chair. His laptop was on his table with the mouse on the side. His books were everywhere and there were so many post-it notes on his calendar board. He touched his eyes and tears started running down his face. He wasn't wearing his glasses and yet he was able to see things clearly. This brought so much joy in his heart.

"Rina. It's Rina." He opened his door and the colors of the world struck him. He could see the faces of students walking hundreds of meters away from him. He clearly saw the softball lying on the field that the sports player forgot to return in the equipment room. "I can see. I can really see now."

"Lambert?" Rina called out his name while observing the stupid reaction on his face. "I was thinking we could have dinner with my other friends to celebrate your wonderful eye sight."

"Rina!" Lambert exclaimed when he saw her and his tears wouldn't stop coming out at all. His happiness overwhelmed him because he really thought he'd never see again. In fact, doctors told him that his eyes were worse than a sixty-year-old man. But Rina brought miracle in his life. "I am so happy."

"I can see that."

"I am so happy."

"I know. I know. And this calls for a celebration. Let's go out. It's only half an hour past six."

"Give me a sec." Lambert went back inside his room to change his clothes and wash his face. He knew he acted lame and wimpy earlier but he didn't care.. In front of her, he didn't need to pretend.
