And, of course, Seulgi was completely unaware of this.

But, as it was Seulgi, that was alright. Everyone was aware of her ability to be oblivious yet the center of all the attention. She might be aware of the attention without knowing why everyone was focused on her. It wasn’t narcissism as much as acceptance that this sort of thing just occasionally happened.

She checked her phone for acceptance of the attendees for gym night. Everyone had accepted, and a few mentioned that they’d be bringing a +1 as well.

Seulgi was looking forward to seeing Gillian again. With a smirk, she thought about all the things that they could tease Jackson about. The smirk kicked up a notch with the imagined look of impending embarrassment on his face. She and Gillian might not be malicious, but they both could, occasionally, be near sadistic in their teasing of Jackson.

Nayeon has a +1 as well. Someone she had never heard of. Same with the Terrible Twins.

The group going tonight to the gym is bordering on cumbersome. But, the gym was large and should be able to accommodate everyone. With this in mind, she got back into her work.

Emails quickly tamed, and she got back into the meat of the latest project. Everything appeared to be on track. But everyone knew that ‘appeared’ and ‘is’ are two very different things. So, she started digging. There were a few minor faults that she found and corrected. However, there was one major, glaring fault that she was surprised to find.

She typed up a quick email with graceful fingers, and send it off to the department head that was in charge of this aspect of the project. Fortunately, she found this before the project was submitted so it was corrected before a serious corporate faux pas was made.

Just another day in the life of Super Seulgi, she thought with the accompanying mental image of herself in a Super Hero pose. She mimicked the pose in real life and burst into uncontrollable giggles. She couldn’t help it. It was just too absurd.

A couple of people walked by her office door to see what the pounding was. Imagine their shock to find her with her head down on her desk, giggling like a fool, pounding her fist on the desk in merriment. Everyone walked away, shaking their heads with a uniform thought: What can you do? It’s Seulgi being Seulgi.

Back under control, she took a deep breath and started making calls. A couple of calls later, she is reminded that tea is mostly water and she is full. After one trip to the restroom, voiding, and returning later, she is recharged and ready to finish her day.

She went ahead and walked around the office. Not for any particular reason, but just to take a look at what was going on. There were more than a few phones hastily put away with a guilty conscience.  Except for Nayeon who kept playing on her phone with a cheeky grin.

Seulgi rolled her mental eyes at Nayeon and kept walking. She stopped and chatted with a few people. She checked up on a few more. She talked to the security guys about what they were doing on their walk through and followed them for a bit while chatting.  It was good to see things from everyone’s point of view on occasion so she knew how to talk to them. You never knew when having to talk to specific people would come in handy. Like the police earlier.

She is really looking forward to seeing her new friend and possibly other new friends as well. She is usually good at controlling her emotions and focus, but today she was having trouble concentrating. Although she was not aware of it, she was not the only one in this group of people who were nearly vibrating in excitement.

At this point, they could take her anywhere, anywhere but home. Maybe Los Angeles. She had at least 28 reasons to go.

No matter how fast her day actually passed, it was still not quick enough. She was very productive with all of this excess energy. She was able to clear all of the emails that she had been avoiding. She got all of her documents collated. She even watered her poor, neglected plants. She cooed to them a bit, too, having read that plants respond to pleasant, positive tones. She managed to time it so that way she was done with all of her busy and make up work right at five o’clock and started to close up for the day.

She took look around her office, nodded in satisfaction, and left for the day.

She hopped on the elevator down to the ground floor. She met Jackson on the way down, noting that the sports duffle bag he was carrying was the same brand as hers. They started chatting on the way down. Stopping every few floors to add more people to the exodus.

Normally, she would wait a while before leaving to avoid the congestion of everyone trying to leave at the same time. But, today, she could not wait. It seemed that Jackson was as excited as her. So were the rest when they met up on the ground floor. They, as a group, stood out. Looks aside, they were all an obnoxiously happy and loud bunch.

Seulgi made sure to smile and nod a greeting to each unfamiliar face. She was pretty sure that she saw at least one of those unfamiliar faces in the law office. One of the Terrible Twins was aiming high.

Seulgi clapped her hands twice gathering everyone’s attention and started herding these particular cats to the gym. They managed to get to the facilities with no real problem. Granted, they looked like the unruly mob that they were, so any ill intentions person had avoided them like a plague. Which, to be fair, showed wisdom on their part as if anyone did try to start trouble, they’d be quickly shown why you should avoid troubling large groups of people. They would have found out that it was not Jackson and the guys they needed to look out for. Nayeon and Yeji would take apart any miscreant. They rarely showed it, but they both could get mean.

They got to the gym with very few problems, the guys opened the doors, and Seulgi was met with an equally brilliant grin.
