JooHyun took a crimson towel and wiped her face. Eyes closed, damp skin heavy breathing, and a healthy glow of a post workout really should not have added up to this level of perfection. Even the artfully stray wisps of hair seem to be out of a medieval painting of a Holy Maiden. This woman was actually as close to perfection as these two had ever seen.
JoonHyun’s eyes opened and saw these two looking at her. She was used to being looked at, observed, gawked at, and lusted over, but rarely did the people looking at her appear to turn into a pair of guilty schoolgirls. This was as amusing as it was new.
She smiled at them. You could almost see their spirits leave their bodies at that smile.
JooHyun broke eye contact first by reaching down and grabbing her bottle of water and taking a couple of gulps. She took a couple of gulps of breath, then gracefully took a few more sips to sate her thirst.
Seulgi was able to regain her composure first. She asked: “Excuse me. Are you done with this equipment?”
JooHyun responded with a simple nod. Her standing up alone was a work of art. She then wrapped her towel around her neck, bent over to grab her gym bag, and started to walk away to the next station.
Seulgi said: “Thank you.”
JooHyun replied with a soft, nearly inaudible “Welcome.”
This time both Seulgi and Wendy looked at her with a different kind of lust. Both of them wanted with a desperate yearning to hear this woman sing. Both of them instinctually know with just that one word that they would be a fan for life of that woman’s voice alone.
Physical beauty aside, that woman’s voice was like a viscous, warm golden honey.
Again, they were poleaxed into immobility.
It took a slap to the back of both of their backsides to break the spell by Nayeon.
“I see that you have both been JooHyuned. Don’t worry, this is a normal reaction from everyone who sees her for the first time. I am surprised that you actually got her to say something at all.” Said Nayeon with a smile.

She continued: “You should see the trail of corpses that litter the gym from all of the people she’s turned down. There are a few of us who have a betting pool to see how many marriage proposals that she’ll get on a particular day. She does frequent this facility fairly frequently, so the regulars are semi-immune. No one is truly completely immune, you understand. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to her. Eventually. Just don’t go swimming when she’s at the pool.” Nayeon over theatrically shuddered.
Seulgi and Wendy both nodded like Marionettes.
They shook themselves as it was impolite to stare. They physically tore themselves away from looking at Bae JooHyun and turned to Nayeon for instructions.
Wendy knew what to do, for the most part, on the Pilates system, but Seulgi was a total novice. Seulgi remembered trying this once before with Nayeon, but partially memory blocked the experience because she still felt embarrassed. This time, she decided to take it more seriously.
Nayeon took her by the metaphorical hand and started walking her through the very basic steps of the exercises. They did some quick but complete warm up first. It seemed odd to do stretches to do stretching, but Seulgi quickly found out that it was necessary. And it was much, much more than just ‘stretches’.
This was re-emphasized by the mild groans of Wendy in the background. Taking a quick glance at her, Seulgi’s confidence took a hit. She was not sure if she was bendable enough to do what Wendy was currently contorting herself into.
Nayeon ruthlessly grabbed her chin and turned her back around to focus on what they were doing lest she pulls a muscle before they even started. Seulgi, embarrassed, refocused on what they were doing.
Nayeon filed this for future use. It was exceptionally rare that her legendarily unflappable boss got shaken. She was going to use this against Seulgi for years to come, she was sure of it. Luckily for her, Seulgi was still so distracted that she failed to see the predatory grin on the other woman’s face. It’s not like Seulgi did not have blackmail material on Nayeon, too. Neither knew that things were about to get bloody on the Seeing Who Can Tease The Other Worse front.
Jackson shivered. He didn’t know why, but he did know that something bad was going to happen. He contemplated taking the next couple of days off just to avoid the fallout that was impending. His wife noticed the hesitation and asked if he was OK. Even though he knew he was a terrible liar, he tried anyway.
“It’s nothing.”
She knew that he’d tell her when he was ready and let the matter drop. For now. After all, the gym was not a conducive place for interrogations. Being the clever woman that she was, she knew that was what bedrooms were for.
In the pool, the Terrible Twins stopped and looked at each other because they both had a chill run down their spines. They were even further removed than Jackson from the impending doom, but they were still peripherally aware that something was up. They looked about them to make sure there was no ice in the water for the chill. It may have been a psychological chill, but it was still a chill. They got out of the water and stood under the heater together, speculating about what was going on. No matter how silly they got – they were the terrible twins, after all – they were still aware that things were about to get Interesting. They needed to start planning on how to use this to their best advantage. They needed more information, but that could wait. There were two handsome men looking at them with something comfortably close to lust in their eyes. They smiled, turned to their paramours and their grins turned evil.
