The gym was full of distractions. Sights, sounds, and movements to catch in your peripheral vision, not to mention the music being played over the sound system. Once everyone reached their own particular groove, it became easier to ignore the distractions and focus on what they were doing, how they were doing it, and just lost themselves in the moment.

Every time Seulgi started getting comfortable with what she was doing, Nayeon changed things up. She was a quick study, so she learned several exercises and how to do the repetitions correctly.

Nayeon set up a camera to record the session so Seulgi could review herself later. She wanted her to see her own form, how to practice the moves, and see if she can spot any flaws or things that could be improved upon. This way they were building up her foundation to move on to progressively more difficult movements.

The Pilates Three got done about the same time, so they moved on to do some cardio work and went to the track to do some running. They started off slow, built up some speed to near sprinting, and slowed back down to cool down a bit. They followed this for about four circuits before Nayeon begged off, worn out and gasping for breath.

Seulgi filed this away for future use in much the same way as Nayeon did earlier. This time even Nayeon unexpectedly got the chills.

For the foreseeable future, any time Nayeon said that Seulgi was stretching things out, Seulgi would reply with something about Nayeon running her mouth. When these conversations started, wise people found excuses to leave the area.

Nayeon had a brilliant idea while trading barbs with Seulgi. In between breaths, she said: “Hey, after we all get done, how about we go do some karaoke?”

Everyone in the area thought that this was a good idea. Even the ones who were not a part of the group. Too bad they were not invited.

Wendy found her people and asked if they wanted to join them, a few accepted, but a few declined. When they eventually found out who was going, they seriously regretted not going.

Nayeon went around to her people, and everyone accepted except for the lawyer duo. They had to be in to work early in the morning, so they couldn’t go, no matter how much they wanted. The next day, they seriously regretted not being able to go, but work was work. In times like these, it was awful being a professional.

Everyone finished their workout routines fast than normal. But, they did make sure to finish properly. They got showers, dried, dressed, and ready to get silly.

Seulgi saw JooHyun leaving at the same time that they were. In an uncharacteristic move, she went over to the woman and asked her if JooHyun if she’d like to join them for drinks and karaoke.

After pondering for a moment, JooHyun agreed in a very tiny voice. Somehow the voice suited her demeanor perfectly. A light blush crept up on her cheeks causing everyone in the ten-meter vicinity to blush along with her. Jackson might have received an elbow in the ribs for gawking had Gillian not been too focused on the shy woman in front of them as well.

Seulgi asked her if she had ever been to the place they were planning on occupying. JooHyun said that she hadn’t. However, as she had her own car and she would follow Seulgi and crew to the place. She had only started driving recently, so please go slow. Everyone nodded in synchronicity like puppets, all of them grinning like idiots. JooHyun looked down again, even more shyly, blushing even harder. Her tiny smile was deadly.

Random people who could not even hear the conversation and were 40 meters away started smiling and blushing without even knowing why. That’s how powerful Bae JooHyun truly was. The best part is that she had no clue what sort of effect that she had on people. Her face was just her face. She likes to keep in shape. She was just her and never quite really understood why people kept professing their love for her when she was passing them on the street. Her mailbox at home was normally stuffed with love notes and marriage proposals. That’s just how her life went. She – very wrongly – assumed that this was how things were for others as well.

Seulgi, Nayeon, and Wendy had their loyal followers, but none of them had anything near the stalker-esque, obsessive loyalty JooHyun had going. Despite how uncomfortable it made her, she was still used to it. It was like this no matter where she went. Fortunately, she was in a crowd of very attractive people, so she was camouflaged and since she was on the tiny side, she was well hidden from the outside.

The group instinctively surrounded JooHyun, leaving her in the middle with Seulgi and Wendy to chat. If anyone in the group looked toward the middle, they would see that JooHyun had relaxed significantly. They all knew how uncomfortable it was to be the center of attention all the time, so it was a good feeling to give succor when needed.

There were people outside the gym who were obviously looking for someone. Some had cards or notes. A few had flowers. One even had a large box of chocolates. JooHyun looked at these people and started walking faster. Seulgi kept talking to her in a normal voice, but put her hand on the other woman’s arm and gave her head a tiny shake. If she changed how she was walking, the rabble might notice.

They found where she was parked and escorted her to the car. When she was about to get in, Seulgi pointed out her car, Jackson’s car, and Wendy’s car so that if they get separated she could still follow someone to the club. JooHyun bobbed a nod and got into her car. She started the auto, waiting for the rest to get into their cars, and got ready to follow.

Katie got into Nayeon’s car, and Jackson and his wife got into theirs. Everyone else got into their cars except for the terrible twins – they took long enough to get a semi- chaste kiss before joining the developing parade. The two young men looked at them in regret, but they had to go.

Everyone played follow the leader behind Wendy to go drinking and singing. It was about to be a glorious night.
