"I'm home..." A tired voice came from a young man could be heard echoing throughout the lonely box of protection.. a house.

Nobody answered back to him as he entered the desolate place that looked very gloomy. The house is dark even when the windows are mostly opened, the house is clean and tidy yet.. is filled with uneasiness. The house is filled with normal furnitures yet felt very empty.

"How surprising.." The emptiness that could be felt because of the atmosphere of the house was because of its.. literal emptiness. Nobody and not even any sign of life was inside the house making it felt like a separate dimension on it's own.

On the front door of the house a young man around 15 could be seen standing. He carefully closed the door behind him without making any sound at all. The young man then took off his shoes and placed it on a shoe rack. He then without skipping a beat immediately just went in the house. But when he was passing the hallway an abnormally placed shelf could be seen. The shelf itself was very abnormally placed in the hallway but did not blocked the path.

On the shelf were picture frames of multiple people. Most of the picture frames were cracked leaving only one in best condition. On the most right of the picture frames was a picture of a woman that looked like she was in her 30's. She has a straight and long black hair her eyes were gentle yet stern. Her smile was beautiful and on her arms she was holding a baby that resembled her. There is a crack on the frame right near her stomach.

On the opposite side on the most left side is a picture of a tall man. He also has the same black hair and eyes. His smile was energetic and was filled with brimming energy. On his shoulder was a kid resembling him. On his frame there is a crack on the neck.

Right next to his frame was a picture frame of a young and beautiful girl. She was smiling just like the tall man. She was hugging a doll resembling a turtle. Surprisingly, on her frame there was no crack at all. Her frame was completely clean and flawless just like it was still new.

And lastly right next to the young girl was a boy older than her but not by much. He was just like the others smiling. But his smiles was not as bright as the others but still hold an extreme affection. On his frame there was a crack all around his photo excluding the part where he is in the picture..

The young man looked at all of the frames one by one while cleaning off the dust on the frames. But when he reached out to the young girl's frame he hesitated a little but still smiled while he's cleaning it.

"Done.." He arranged all of the frames back to their original position. He then proceed to went through the hallway.

"What a drag.." The young man was right now inside of his room doing his homework. The young man's room was plain and boring. The room is also dark with only the table lamp working as the source of light.

"Ah.. I will do it later I guess.." He closed his books and looked at the time.

"18.30.. I still have time" He gets up from his chair and went downstairs from his bedroom. He went out walking in the middle of the night in the silence neighbourhood. He is walking calmly and silently just like the wind.

After walking for a while he arrived in front of a giant bright building. He waste no time and immediately entered the building. Right near the entrance was an old man that was still very strong and healthy. He immediately recognised the young man and greeted him.

"Hohoho, never miss a day aren't you, Young Man." The old man laughed heartily. The young man smiled at him while greeting him back.

"Hello.. Old Man.." The young man bowed a bit for respect then immediately went in. He rushed in to the elevator and went up to the 4th floor towards a spesific room he visited everyday for the past 4-5 years. So everybody in the hospital both old and new knew about him and the patient. He opened the door leading to the room silently.

Inside the room was a little girl laying down on the hospital bed. She was currently awake and was reading a book. She was a long term patient in the hospital. She suffered from a non contagious severe lung disease and because of her naturally weak heart she was forced to be hospitalised since she was 8. So because of that she rarely sees the outside world.

"Hello.." The young man greeted the little girl. "Kyaa!" The little girl who doesnt pay attention to her surrounding was surprised and instinctively threw her book at the young man. The young man acted quickly and catched the book she threw with precision and read it.

"Mouu, don't startle me like that!" She scolded the young man. The young man looked indifferent and just replied simply.

"Yes, yes.." He closed the book that she threw at him and gave it back to her. She immediately took it and put it to the shelf next to her.

"So.. how is school, Nii-san?" The little girl asked the young man which is her big brother.

"Hmm..? It's.. fine.. I think." The young man answered. The young man seemed very distant yet that distance can't really be described.

"That's good! Umm.." The little girl suddenly got nervous. She was fidgeting and sweating nervously. The young man obviously noticed this and just looked away from her a little. She understood his act and reached out to her pockets to grab something.

"I-I want you to have this!" She extends her hands towards the young man while holding a locket. The locket was shaped like cresent moon. The young man accepted the locket and when he opened it his eyes widened a little.

"How.. did you get this..?" He asked staring at the little girl suspiciously. The little girl noticed the stare and felt a little offended.

"Hmph! I saved up for it obviously!" She was a little dissatisfied that her brother did not trust her. But she knew that he was joking so she let it slide.

Inside the locket that she gave him was a special and rare precious jewel that could price over 1 million yen just to get a very 'dirty' and impure piece of it. This precious jewel was called a 'Moon Crystal'. This precious jewel was believed to be formed from a very pure diamond that has been exposed to the moonlight long enough in a spesific temperature. The 'Moon Crystal' glowed just like the moon but instead of reflecting light it's glowing on it's own. And the 'Moon Crystal' inside the locket was estimated to worth around 100-400 million yen judging by it's glow and size.

"You didn't have to do this you know..?" The young man now seemed a little hesitant on accepting the locket.

"You say that after you gave me this 3 years ago?!" She held up a locket that she wore. In contrary of the locket she gave him the locket that the young man gave to her was shaped like a star. Inside it was a blue crystal that shines beautifully. The blue crystal is called 'Frost Star'. The name came from the region it was found and the shape of the crystal. It is estimated the worth of the 'Frost Star' inside the locket reached around 3 billion yen.

"Well my job pays well.. but you.." He was about to finish his sentence before he got cut off.

"Well I also have a job! Besides can't I give you a birthday present, Hmph!" The young man now just remembered about it. Today seems to be his birthday. He looked at the date and just seemed to realise.

"The 2nd of September.." He never really cared about the date. So he completely forgot about his own birthday.

"Who in the right mind forgot about their own birthday?!" She exclaimed in surprise. Even though this happens every single year she was still surprised at this. He only looked confused while looking at her.

"*sigh*.. forget it. Just accept the locket.. It's my gift after all." She seemed proud on her gift and she has the right to do so. She is only 13 years old and could already afford one of the most precious jewels in the world how couldn't she be proud of herself.

"Okay.. then.. Thank you.." He said sincerely with a rare smile. Even though the smile is very small it's still very noticeable on his monotone face.

"Un! Now you should head home. It's starting to get very late." She urged him to go home. He realised the time and agreed with her.

"You're right.. then, see you tomorrow?" He said his goodbye while asking a question.

"Yes, yes now go" She waved him away. He nodded and left the room silently.

"*sigh* even though I'm one of the richest person alive he always seemed to forgot about that.." She complained a little.

"But I guess even until now he still subconsciously closed his heart from accepting it and hide it deep down.." She knew that his problem with his memories came from the emotional scar he received. She knew this because her illness also came because of the intense stress and trauma because of the 'incident'.

"I hope one day that frozen heart will warm up once again.." She gazed out from the window enjoying the cool air and the beautiful night sky.
