Chapter 2: Reawakening

He slowly opened his eyes. His body no longer felt like it was on fire but it felt weird. He reached upwards to touch his head when he heard a voice.....

"Welcome to Regulation. This system has 2 livable planets and a moon colony." The voice seemed to come from all around him.

He gasped thinking he must be in the immersion pod in his living room he reached upwards again meaning to pull the helmet off but only felt his hair.... He saw a small blinking light on one side of his vision and when he concentrated on it his world seemed to expand he could see what looked like a ship small and sleek looking almost like a stub winged bird. He tried to move his hand and the ship began to rotate in his vision.  

It looked ..... beat up. Like it had just come out of a battle. He opened his mouth and cursed under his breath," What in the hell is going on here?" He said outloud as his heart slowed.

"We have escaped the bandits. We are in need of repairs."

He twisted around trying to find the source of the voice but all that happened was the orientation of the ship changed; turning slightly toward the way his head moved. He felt like his whole body was moving with the ship.

"Activating gyro stabilizer." The voice stated as he felt the movement stop even though the ship continued to turn whichever way he moved his head.

"Who are you?!"He shouted, not really expecting an answer.

"I am the Space Emperor System. I await your command." The voice said flatly.

He started to notice that the voice sounded monotone..Almost devoid of emotion.
