Sins of Yesterday

- Chapter 2

Vorjax stood on a high cliff. Looking at the bright ball in the sky.

It's no longer the Sun. It's an artificial sun made by humans and as time passes, it's like every knowledge about history has long been tampered with and fabricated.

And the only ones who can do it are those who consider themselves the winner, a winner of war.

But the war doesn't create a winner. Rather, plunders lives.

The annals of history are nothing but memoirs of the winners in their struggles for the throne.

It was never meant to accommodate the martyrs that died for it.

The Sun has long exploded after the reign of humans. Humans thought it was the declaration of the power of humans, but no.

It's the warning of the Rules.

The Kings are the Guardian of Rules. They are chosen by the Law of the World. They must eliminate those who break the Rules. And the reason for the humans' loss of emotion is one of the punishments said by the Law after breaking the first rule.

'Never defy the Guardians of the Rules'

The King closed his eyes, the breeze of the wind, the freshness of the air. Murmuring those words and he sighed, thousands of years have passed. Yet the memories of that time remain.

He has long forgotten this feeling, the feeling of what makes him feel alive. The feeling of that time... haha.

There was a King that wanders around the world, making the left 6 Kings rule their perspective positions. But only the seat of Greed remains unknown. The moment he became one of the Kings, is the moment he let go of his responsibility.

After the seat of Greed got no King to sit on it, the greed within people has grown too fast, but only the Goblins restricted themselves. They thought that their plundering of gold and ingots made the King abandon them, so they started living underground in the forest.

One of the Kings looked for the King of Greed that wanders around the world, and when he found him, he was sitting on the tallest cliff, looking at the Sun made by the Laws.

'The Sun, whenever you go, whichever planet you live. It will stay within your field, but won't come out when the darkness befell and the Moon shines in the darkness.'

"Brother.." said Greed, "Have you ever heard about the story of the Sun God and Moon God?"

Silence enveloped the both of them, until the King sighed softly, "Yes."

"There were two gods that fell for each other"

Two primitive beings

"Their existence was meant to repel each other"

Suppressed all beliefs

"To fix the unparalleled fate that was impaled upon them"

Against all the wishes,

The youngest King among the Kings asked, "Brother, what do you think would happen next?"

"Little Greed, what would happen will always base on what will happen in the world we rule." He paused, "We may be the rulers of this world, but we cannot predict the future."

"Brother... brother. I wander around the world, became the King of Greed, but does me becoming the Greed means losing the person I love?"

"Why do that person has to do this brother?"

"Why? The person I love the most was the Pope of the Temple of Light and has planned to kill me long ago..."

"I gave them my love. But they, they... want to take my life."

The King silently hugged the youngest King. Comforting him silently with his gestures and movements.

"Brother, can I also ask the Law to take away my feelings?"

The King paused and hugged him tightly. "Yes, you can."
