Tyler
I was a hitter, not a blocker, and being rendered as such only meant one fight lost. But I wasn’t prepared to lose this fight, so when he came swinging at me, I ducked and swung back. Blake wanted to make it known that his pack owned these halls. I on the other hand didn’t give two shits, trying to stay out of his radar for the same reason. I lodged my power shot right into his ribs, and I had this haunting feeling that he allowed me to land that punch. That daunting malicious grin on him begged me to look up, where Blake had absorbed that blow, the dude not even flitching.
Okay, that was new…
I didn’t remember him being that strong the other night. Then again, I hadn’t fought him outside of his werewolf form. Maybe I felt entitled to an explanation, but he wouldn’t give me one, instead, I caught the stars that came with his retaliation hook shot right into my jaw. I flew further than I wanted to admit, my body crashing into the wall. I struggled to keep my feet on the floor, Blake’s power swing coming at me again full throttle.
I wanted to be immune to those punches, but my head was spinning, my face growing numb. It felt like my skull had collided with a brick wall, Blake not holding back his strength with me. This was going to be tough, fighting to kill while keeping my anger in check. Because the more he landed those gut and face punches, the more rage I packed on.
I was shaking under my skin, the beast begging to come out. Once I saw my blood, I figured it’d be all over soon. But Bann and that training yesterday; I couldn’t cave in. Not at school. Not if I wanted a news press covering my gruesome story.
“Come on and fight back you stupid cunt!” Blake seethed at me, and I was backing up with every hard swing he tossed with his quick arms. Until he finally had enough of my dodging, tapping into his speed to cross me up and land a sharp kick against my kidney. Crazy thing was that I’d crouched over to block it with my elbow, but I still felt the sting.
I grunted in pain, that stability I had to stand now lost. I stumbled from the shot, Blake capitalizing, grabbing me by the back of my collar before my knees could even hit the floor. He had my face positioned for a knee jab, my body already bracing for the impact. But instead of his cap shattering my skull into pieces, he dropped me. I fell on all fours, feeling the gust of Blake’s body being swept away. And to my left—
“Tegan?”
That power pole of hers extended, slamming against Blake’s Adam’s apple and ripping him off of me.
That imprint on the drywall looked good on him, though I was more impressed with the power behind that save.
Tegan was strong, strong enough to move this guy’s weight with ease, and lodge his back into the wall.
“Back off, prick!” she snapped, reeling her power pole back to herself.
My face was oozing blood, and I felt the need to hide my disgrace in front of Tegan. She wasn’t bothered by any of the bloodshed, fixing herself in front of me to defend.
“Well, this is interesting,” Blake said smugly, the bastard rolling his shoulders back as he crept toward us. “An omega protecting an alpha? What happen, Sire wolf? You can’t defend yourself, so you have your bitches handle it for you?”
“I told you to stand back!” Tegan barked, but Blake didn’t bite. He wasn’t threatened any by my shield, and just when Tegan started to trigger her pole again, Blake jumped. He had no problem shutting her up, even if it meant taking a mean swing at his jaw.
Tegan didn’t have time to react. She also didn’t think he’d be bold enough not to block her swing. Blake was tall though, reaching over to Tegan to snatch her up by her throat and slam her into that same wall she’d tossed him in.
“Tegan!” I cried, Tegan holding her own even with the bastard gripping her. She adjusted her pole, letting the butt end stretch between her and him. But Blake caught her trick in his open palm, his strength strong enough to stop her pole from extending further.
“This little toy isn’t going to save you, pup,” he growled under his breath scornfully, the grip on her neck getting tighter. She dropped her pole, snatching his fist around her air pipe with both hands, Blake bent on taking her out without hesitation.
He’d be fooling himself if he thought I’d stick around and watch him try!
I gritted my teeth and reached over for the back of his head, carving the school wall with his hideous face! He wasn’t about to manhandle my girl, cocking my arm back to land blow after blow. I was raging inside, letting the show and tell signs of a beast break through to me. My fangs stretched out long, as did my claws, and I could feel my face turning into something less human.

“Tyler, stop!” Tegan cried, Blake finally letting go of her. Not by choice—at this point, I had his top half hanging in the wall, his face sitting nice and cozy on fluffy insulation beds. He dropped her to save himself, Tegan having to pull me off of him to stop. “Tyler, you need to relax!” she begged me, my eyes falling to her while I tried to release my fists. “Tyler, we need to go right now!”
“Blake!” his beta called out, worried.
“Egh, are you stupid?” Blake grumbled, his echo piercing down the wall, making everyone stop short. He pulled his head out, just when we had another spectator to the fight show up.
It was my omega, ready to step in between me and Blake…
“Stop!” she cried, out of breath, as if she’d been searching for me. She stretched her arms out, facing Blake with a serious mien. “Leave Tyler alone!”
“Leave Tyler alone?” Blake repeated with a disgusted tone. “What? Are you his bitch now?”
She couldn’t answer.
He gritted his teeth, letting a low growl slice the halls in half. “I can smell you on her!” he raged, turning his vicious eyes to me. “You fucked my girl?”
“I’m not your girl!”
“Not anymore, at least.” I grinned, feeling cocky.
“I never was!” she cried. “And if you don’t leave my boyfriend alone, I’ll—”
“You’ll what? Fucking slut!” he retorted, trying to snatch her wrist, but I was quicker than him, reeling my omega into my chest.
“You’re lucky we are on campus! If you’re not a punk, you’ll settle this outside,” he threatened me.
“I’m not a punk, but I am smart. You’ll have your pack on me, just like last time. They serve to protect the alpha, am I right?” I countered, letting my face mellow out. What he said kicked me in the pants, the kind of kick I needed to warn me of the consequences if I continued to let my anger persuade me. Sure, I was stronger than him when I was angry, but that was only because he wasn’t transforming.
“Heh, spoken like a true alpha. A packless alpha!” he intimidated me further.
“Back down or we’ll take you down,” I countered.
“What, you and a couple of omegas? Heh, no wonder your father went down like that. You’ve inherited his weak pathetic spine.”
I slammed down on my jaw, Tegan realizing, quickly grabbing onto my curling fist.
“Let’s just go, Tyler,” Tegan suggested, and for some reason, Blake allowed us to escape…
