Chapter 3: You monster

He thinks as he covers himself with a blanket to hide from the evil monster that may or may not kill him.

The robot then spoke.

[Welcome, master.] She greets him.

What. Is she saying? Wasn't this supposed to be a nightmare? He thought as he held his heart beating faster. She was confused. Why does he seem scared? He asked peeking his head from the blanket. "Who are you?"

[I am Tan Chuntao, Your robotic assistant]

He's unsure if he's dreaming but he does recall buying a robot online and assembling it with Wen Xiaosheng.  And now, the robot looks like the real deal. It was almost too perfect to be true...He sighed as he gets up and walks towards the door. [Where are we going, master?]

"We're not going anywhere together..." He replied. He didn't want the robot following him to the restroom that's just weird. 

[Why not?]

He stopped and turns around, He can't explain it, but the feeling of being followed by an evil machine scares him. What if she was programmed to attack him at any moment? But this isn't a dream....or a nightmare but reality. 

There was suddenly a loud crash downstairs, startling the robot and the man, Downstairs a bloodied man had just broken through the window groaning in pain holding his arm.

The robot looked around trying to find the cause of the noise before turning back towards her creator. [Master, there is a danger.]

"I know, don't worry I'll call for help." He assured as he went towards the stairs to see who the intruder was.

A few moments later, the man was caught and pinned down on the floor, the man was in a state of shock as if his legs had turned to jelly. He tried fighting back but failed due to the strength of his assailant. "You monster!" He exclaimed while trying to kick the man away but failing miserably.

As the man tried to move out of Yi Nianzu's hold, his eyes started to roll back and he started to lose consciousness. Yi Nianzu is confused he didn't do anything to the men but only hold him down...what's going on?

Tan Chuntao's voice came from his earpiece. [It appears to be a man, his name is Wang Yan. he's possessed by a demon...Lol] The robot joked with an emotionless voice.

Wang Yan? That name doesn't sound familiar but maybe there's a chance that he knows someone like that. But this is just a random man he doesn't know who broke into his home.

He looked out the window his eyes widened in shock, It's complete chaos outside...people are screaming and running from other people...This scene reminded him of the recent zombie apocalypse manga he read. 

Is this an actual Apocalypse? Just like those stories? If it is...The unconscious man is turning into one right now. 

  Wait...the man wasn't turned yet! He has time to stop this!

He quickly ran to the room containing all the equipment and grabbed a pair of scissors, he then cut the arm of Wang Yan and threw the severed arm away. 

The limb flopped onto the ground and the man woke up."Wha-" He began to say but was interrupted by Yi Nianzu. "Don't speak, just listen to me." He said sternly. Wang Yan nodded and listened to Yi Nianzu. 

"We are going to die, There are a bunch of zombies outside...I saved your life but it'll be a matter of time before we get killed."

Wang Yan stared at Yi Nianzu blankly until realization hit him hard and tears started flowing from his face. "How...how did you find me?"

"You broke into my house." Yi Nianzu deadpanned, his tone showing a hint of irritation.

The man wiped away his tears and took deep breaths, taking some time to recollect his thoughts as he looked around and noticed his severed arm missing from his body on the ground with a yellowish unknown substance oozing from it. 

"So...you saved me?" He asked quietly

Yi Nianzu nodded.  "Of course, you could have died in the middle of nowhere. So yes, I saved you."

The man smiled bitterly at the irony, A man who he considered to be a monster saving him. The words he wanted to say to Yi Nianzu were stuck somewhere between his throat and mouth as he slowly stood up.
