Chapter 4: Where are you?(1)

The man smiled bitterly at the irony, A man who he considered to be a monster saving him.

The words he wanted to say to Yi Nianzu were stuck somewhere between his throat and mouth as he slowly stood up.

He brushed off his pants and walked closer to Yi Nianzu. "Can I...may I hug you?" He asked softly.  Yi Nianzu froze for a minute before nodding.

He gently embraced him and buried his face in his chest. They stayed that way for a while until a loud bang caused them to jump apart. 

They both watched each other's faces intently. Wang Yan looked at the doorway where three zombies had entered.

He saw the biggest one enter and start heading straight towards the two of them. Before anyone else could do something about it, Wang Yan charged forward and shoved Yi Nianzu aside causing him to land on top of him. 

He rolled to the floor and got back up. "Hey! Leave him alone!" He yelled at the monsters.

One of the infected zombies opened its mouth revealing rows upon rows of sharp teeth. Wang Yan raised his arm ready to fight back.

 However, before he could do anything, Yi Nianzu kicked the zombie across the room, landing on the ground with another thud. 

Yi Nianzu rushed towards Wang Yan helping him back onto his feet. Once they were both standing, the zombie that had been knocked down was already crawling toward them.

The two were backed into a corner and we were left defenseless in the middle of their helplessness Tan Chuntao came to the rescue holding a long metal rod. 

She pointed the rod towards the zombie which was close enough and smashed it straight into its skull. The zombie instantly fell to the ground twitching slightly.

Another zombie was about to lunge for them, however,  Tan Chuntao swung her weapon hitting the zombie with full force before kicking it to the side.

"Nice job Tan Chuntao!" Yi Nianzu complimented her. Her cheeks flushed red under his praise and the tips of her ears started to turn pink. She quickly averted her gaze and hid behind the metal pole she held.

They were able to take care of four zombies and it didn't even take more than fifteen minutes. The zombies weren't easy to beat though. It wasn't that easy to fight them off. Their numbers kept increasing and they seemed to have no end in sight.

Suddenly, the ceiling above them gave out and the two ran away towards Yi Nianzu's office hoping to avoid getting crushed beneath the rubble.

But just as they were entering the hallway, the door leading to the inside of Yi Nianzu's office was ripped from its hinges and the door crashed against the wall leaving nothing in front of it.

Both Wang Yan and Yi Nianzu gasped when they saw what was inside.

A group of zombies had surrounded them and they couldn't see past them. They're too tired to fight anymore.

Tan Chuntao was not surrounded by zombies

... She can save them by looking down at the metal pole she holds and deciding to charge at the zombies. 

As she moved forward, a group of zombies came and attempted to block her route. However, as she continued running, they were soon unable to move as they were forced to watch helplessly as Tan Chuntao advances on them.  She swings her weapon at each zombie as they tried attacking her but to no avail.

She knocked down all the zombies except one... And that one is stronger and faster than the others. 

The zombie roared as it began to charge at the robot like an angry bull.

 As Tan Chuntao was about to run, the zombie slammed into her knocking her to the ground.

Once the zombie knocked down its robotic opponent it started charging toward Wang Yan and Yi Nianzu who were cowering in fear. 

"We're truly about to die." Wang Yan muttered, It all was happening to quick, They need to think of a plan and it has to be fast.
